Sure some proverbial spoilled rich kid could buy it and wreck it I guess, but the company has value basically from 3 areas. It's IP (legal right to use the patented technologies), "detailed manufacturing instructions" (knowledge and tools necessary to make more) and the 'good will' the product enjoys in the market. It also carries the liability for service support on the existing units (which underpins the good will part).

Those have real value (in dollars), the only real value of TV. Aside from that it's a rented building with some used computers.

So, how many megabucks you think you've got to pony up to buy the show? How smart would you be to flush that all away by trashing the reputation?

Again, I see no need for worry here. TV has made a LOT of smart calls, I see no reason to think they're not going to continue to do so.

By way of disclosure to those who don't know, I've been associated with TV for a couple of years, since the first T1. I know 'the guys' and was invited to Beta Test most everything they made up to Luna (where I bought one of the first). So I have extra information in lots of directions here. But that doesn't change my opinion about this case, or any similar one for that matter. I think there's plenty of evidence and experience to support the idea that the product line will continue to be supported and evolve into even more useful products. And, on top of that, buying the company and trashing it is very much against the rules of (successful) Capitalism, the 'smart money' doesn't normally do stuff like that.

Don't sell your TV stock just yet, I really don't think it's going to take a dive.......

I was just thinking/saying though about all the possible horrible scenarios like for instance, they buy the company and start getting everything manufactured overseas and/or the competition like gentlemans brand ends up with the company and employs their horrible practices...

Yes, a competitor could buy it with the intent of killing it off. But I suspect the price will be too high to make that realistic. I'd expect the price is in the few millions? Anyone else have a guess? Far beyond, I think, most of the 'sell cheap overseas junk to anyone we can suck in' bunch?

And the nature of the product is really against such 'cheap labor' attacks, since the labor content is being constantly reduced and specialized at the same time. The labor to make the current version of Cera (with the welded strap) is quite small time wise really. Less so with Luna. The precision parts are made on automated machinery that makes a near perfect part in half a minute or so from 20 foot long bars of stock. No real labor content there, one man can run several machines making thousands of parts per shift. Drinking coffee and checking stuff for the most part. Making cores, likewise, is being optimized to remove the 'fiddly hand work' as much as possible, and that which remains is highly skilled. I just don't see this as a good candidate to 'offshore'. And the 'made in USA' is a valuable feature I think?

Time will tell.

So, yes, let's stay positive. But here I think that's also the logical/reasonable outcome to expect?

Noah hasn't been around for some time, back before strap welding on Cera happened IIRC. Luna is (mostly) Nate's work and he's still at it. At least he was a week or so back when I picked up the Luna and had a quick chat with him. There is/will be a plan for this going forward no doubt. I'm sure when 'they' want us to know more they'll make that happen.

Does anyone know what will or can work for a 510 MP tip for the cera EO cart?
I lost mine and was wondering if I should dig through my old E-cig parts to finagle a make shift mouth piece, or if any of you crazy smart guys know of what I can use without having to pay $8 for a 510 tip and $7 for shipping! Ridiculous!
For $15 I'd prefer to make one if possible. Then make extras.

Apologize for changing the subject? You OK? The is the Cera thread, right, your question belongs here a lot more than lots of what passes for useful if ya asked me.....which you didn't come to think on it.

The factory one is Delrin. There also were some Teflon ones, I should have one somewhere but haven't seen it in a while. Not all my 510 MPs fit well. Some e-cig tips aren't up to the temperature (acetate and acrylics, 'hard plastics').

Perhaps a good spot for a metal one (if it didn't get too hot)?

If you want to play with it some, I recall McMaster Carr sells one foot pieces of an attractive size Teflon or Delrin (don't recall which). I bet you could cobble up one by slicing a length of the tube (you can cut the Teflon tubes with a utility knife and firm push). I was thinking of shimming it up to final size with a few turns of plumbing tape (Teflon) on the bottom end. Never did it, I opted for Silicone tube to extend the factory one for the lame project I was messing with.

It's a little expensive at $25 but I have this ecig drip tip, the Rameses by Smok-e Mountain. Half 304 stainless steel, half Delrin. As you can see it breaks down and both can be used as mouthpieces, or you can mount a secondary one onto the Delrin and just use the Delrin attachment as an adapter. I tried it on my ecig setup without the Delrin and the stainless steel part started to heat up kinda fast. Not enough to burn me bu I'm only taking ~3 second inhales.

I have an old unused white delrin 510 mouthpiece for my cera that I can send you via snail mail if you want to pm me an address....it'll only cost you a stolen stamp from my wife's purse and a week's wait

Hey if anyone is looking for an alternative handle for the cera carts I have been using the below for a while and it's working great. Just push out the floating pin and insulator in the top cap and drill out the 510 threads with 21/64 and tap with 3/8-24 then file back the four corners (maybe 1/8") on the decorative stainless top cap ring around the thread hole so the cart lays flush to the top.

Stainless body with mag switch and lockout ring. Pretty nice for $30. Let me know if you have any question.

Fuck fasttech! Don't order anything from those idiots. I placed an order 4 months ago and still have not received anything. They claim the Malaysia flight caused shipping issues. No refunds, no product. They claim once the shipper returns the package they will refund my money.

I finally received my cera back from TET today, it arrived at TET on a Monday. Got sent back the next week on wed. Took a while but I called and spoke to someone. The body had to be rebuilt along with the core. Iv been beating the pax to shit during the wait. TET didn't ship when they said they would but did ship the next afternoon. 1 day priority express. Made my day. Happy to finally have it back. The pax while a good vape, has that 'made in China feel' lol. The cera feels like quality. Excited to take a dive in the world of concentrates, ordering a EO core in the next few days. Excellent customer service. Very transparent about what was going on with my cera. Gonna order some vtc5's as well. Sound promising . Happy vaping everyone

This is probably a dumb question but....

So i got the Cera, and i really like it, but i have noticed that the flat porous ceramic visible through the top is moving around slightly. Is this normal or do i need a rebuild? I have cleaned the cart once by soaking it in alcohol and then using my thumb and fore finger to hold the threads and shake it in the alcohol for a few seconds. I noticed after i cleaned it that there was some grit in the plastic container (possibly ceramic?). I've only had this a few weeks and haven't used it much, would this be under warranty?

Mine did that when I got a brand new core. It shifts back and forth. I proceeded to load and enjoy and once you get it oiled up it tends to stay put. It was a non-issue for me. I took it apart when I beat up the core, then, when I cleaned it the ceramic was just a square wafer. It should work just fine for you. Definitly not worth waiting again. Use and abuse it then drop $25 on a rebuild a year from now IMHO

Ya, that's why i decided to ask. It doesn't seem to affect the function, so i though maybe it's supposed to just "float"? But i find your advice to keep it and slap it around until it really needs a rebuild intriguing. I may take that route, thank you.

Greetings to all the new people that have joined the forum since i was last active. It's been a while since I've regularly checked the Cera thread...My Cera failed a 4th or 5th time about 6 months ago, so I got a T1 out of frustration, and haven't sent the Cera in for its repair since then.

My T1 is great but I miss the clean flavor and long battery life Cera offers for LL usage. So im sending Cera in for its repairs on the strap.

My main concern is this... Does anyone know if the repair process has changed in any way to help prevent these device failures from happening as often? Specifically for strap failures ( Ive already had the laser welds performed on the strap)
Has anyone else had this amount of strap failures? If so did your problem ever get resolved?

Thermovape is A great company and I love their products, But my 300 dollar Cera is less reliable than my used $100, 1st Gen. T1 , and I can't really justify keeping Cera if it fails a 5th or 6th time after this "final" repair.

I've had the bottom button come off (glue issue?) then the strap issue. Since then I've gotton the 2 LL cores I had rebuilt and I still have the one brand new because it KICKS again! I've even brought out the old green batteries and they still work great!! No problems for like almost a year and I use Cera every day

Yeah the top ceramic is loose/floats in there on purpose. Same with the Revolution I have.

Perfectly normal, and in fact necessary. If it wasn't able to 'float' some it would shatter as stuff expanded and contracted. I suggest you load it up and get to know it better.

my cera isn t working... first of i thought its a battery issue... and went to buy new ones... i gave the shop owner my battery to test them if they are really bad... no there are ok... fu--... in my opinion it s the core or the switch... i am from europe and i had my cera for one month... so i have to write tet an e-mail... and see...

Mine is on it's way back from tet, not even going to touch it when I get it back for fear of getting more burn marks on my silver contacts and for something else to go wrong

so what are your plans with your cera... if not using it...
