But, if these are starting to land in the states, I know the videos will be coming. DAMNED gorgeous videos!!! Just like f'n visual kryptonite. ARGH!! I'm toast. Hopefully I'll be able to hold off till payday so I can still pay the internet bill.:ugh:

Wonder if I can get someone to pay me to put up some new shelves in my own house. 2 birds with one stone.... money for GAS and someplace to put all the objects of this crazy obsession. Any patrons out there?

Bought the 186. Stoked on this one. Deep down I am hoping the bottom joint's narrow and kind of high placement does not affect the performance too much. Other than that, I gotta go grab my D and give that a go some day!

Hey all,

Got my 187 today as well. Initial impressions are positive. It does in fact have the ROOR logo and it appears etched (I'll take a closer look in a minute). Packaging and shipping time were both great.

Cons:
The mouth stem is slightly canted, probably less than 2 degrees.. most wouldn't notice it.
The down stem is also canted, probably 5 degrees. Does not look like this will impede functionality, but I will know after running it through its paces.

Random observation: There seems to be a "nub" or "wart" tacking the perch to the base. It is centered and on the bottom of the perk, so it shouldn't affect functionality.

I have some pictures with it next to a D-020 if anyone is interested and I can also do special requests. I'll have to email them to someone to host and post though..

Back in 20.. heating up the enano and am going to try this guy out.

the thing attaching the perc to the bottom of the can is a weld, they're for stability. shouldn't affect it unless it somehow goes over to the percs and messes with the air/vapor diffusing through.

Mine hasnt moved since showing up in New York 4 days ago. Hopefully its enroute and Ill have it tomorrow. With my Mobius breaking, this could be a great replacement until I find somone to fix it.

Nice. I came to that conclusion while washing it out before my first run. Thank you for confirming my suspicion.

PM - Mine didn't update that it was even in the States till this morning. It then showed up at the office today. If it helps, mine hit LA on the 5th and was delivered in the Pacific NW this afternoon.

Initial thoughts (keep in mind I am fairly new to both vapes and scientific glass):

Wow. And the clouds parted and down came the 187.. VERY impressed.

This guy stacks beautifully and has little drag. The base is nice and solid, with a thicker lip protecting it. I love the flatter top than compared to the D-020, it is easier (for me) to locate the gong and remove.

Did I mention that the perch rocks? Fucking rocks may be a better description. I'm most definitely going towards this before my 20 (I still love my 20, best $30 I've spent all year).

When clearing the 187, it "roars" for lack of better word. The 20 is about an octave higher when compared, almost toy like.

I'm also loving the extra volume in the can. BIG hits if you have the lung capacity.

Only flaw so far is that it tends to splash a bit. I'm running the water about 1/8" about the perc and still noticed a slight amount of backsplash. This could be due to the slight cant in the downstem/perc.

Still trying to figure out how they applied the logo and how I can remove it. Any input welcome. It looks professional for a pirated piece, but I don't want it on there.

Lastly, I'm liking the larger diameter mouthpiece. I'm currently sporting my winter beard and this guy is more comfortable than the 20 or some of my other heady pieces.

Pretty damn solid for a knockoff.

The base nice and wide, and feels sturdy. The connections looks pretty clean and even, better than expected actually. The perc is nice, with no noticeable jagged cuts etc. and fires and stacks well. Can't complain a bit for the price versus product, hell shipping time was decent too.

Nice addition to the the collection on the cheap, while my GAS is still kicking, I think this might calm the beast for a bit.

Well, I had to pull the trigger on the 187 while it was still at $46. Nice quick reviews, you guys!! thanks so much for vids and pics! This thread is DANGEROUS! seriously addicted. Luckily there is one gap left in my glass cabinet. Been using the D020-D today.

I agree 100% about the mouthpiece. I like it better than my ion because I can fit both lips inside easily, whereas with the ion I have to use one lip on the outside.

I am very impressed as well with the overall quality and function of the "RoaR". Probably the best $50 I've spent since Thailand. :razz:

God damn all of you magnificent bastards!! I've been trying to convince myself that GAS is a silly and foolish affliction. I'm just going to have to order one today :rockon: I might be the only one on this forum that actually likes the Roor logo:tup:

Also, since nobody has already said it, let me proclaim that the D020-W should here on be known as "The Cocksucker". I love that bubbler. With my E-Nano it just milks up every single time. I love the thickness of the glass and the size of the can. The handle/mouthpiece part though can only be described as a penis in my opinion. I don't mind though. I just wrap my mouth around that thing and enjoy the milk :evil::leaf:

As a Mexican, all I can tell you that everybody in the room knows what GAS is, after a big bowl of beans. No seriously, I think it stands for Glass Addicted Syndrome.
