Odd Concentrate Consistency

Hey guys, been buying shatter and budder from a friend's friend for awhile and it's been great in my omicron. Recently we got some off the same person and it came in these tiny jars, and has a very liquid gooey consistency and is dark black. It smells like concentrate and smokes like it on a nail. I haven't tried it yet, but my friend said it either gets him super high or nauseous. The guy said he got it from a legit dispensary in California that's why it came in the jars. Any idea why it might be odd?

I had to use a lighter to heat up the mini jar upside down to get the concentrate to drip out into my silicon container.

It looks like Rick Simpson oil to me. It's intended to be taken orally in capsules but it knocks your socks off if you vape it. It's made by extracting the resin from bud using a solvent, and then evaporating it in a crock pot at low heat to make it orally active.

Whoa I dunno. That Omicron looks fancy. Without knowing how the atty in it works I couldn't tell you. Dunno how into ecigs you are but if you vape it on a rebuildable dripping atty it will blow you away. My concern with the omicron is that without knowing how the airflow/atty/wick works I don't want to give you advice that may end up with that rad looking device all clogged up. You ought to post a pic of the atty on your Omicron. Because RSO is so goopy/runny it will melt all over the place.

Gotcha, my budder usually melts into something that looks similar to this stuff when I use it with the Omicron. The wick can be cleaned with ISO so I'm not too worried, but I'll post a pic of the stuff to confirm what it is once I get home. The Omicron wick looks like this with fresh budder on it:

Yeah the RSO will work fine in that. It's just gonna be kind of messy to dab it on.

Cool. I'm also assuming it'll be more potent than what I am used to haha. I'll post a pic of the stuff to confirm when I am home.

RSO can be really high up there as far as potency, but so can any properly purged BHO. Anyway, check out http://www.phoenixtears.ca -- It's Rick Simpson's site and has tons of info on the oil, including how to make it and some pretty incredible testimonials.

That looks like honey oil to me... RSO has more plant matter in it. From the photo, that just looks like dark yet clear (is that right?).

Messier, but should work very well on your heater. Use small amounts, try not to have to scrape it up much to put back on the wick.

It's clear in consistency yes but not color. Would I be able to freeze it before using it to make it easier to load my omicron?

Also yes, will work fine on a KISS cart. Probably would work really well with an old skool W9 Essential oils cart as well.

Whats it taste like when you vape it?

Yes thanks for helping me with that. I have been loving it. It tastes pretty similar to my other budder but maybe with less flavor strength. It gives me a very chill high mostly body I think.
Can I use an oil cart with my omicron mini?

Well is the oil tasty ... can feel the taste of the herb ? If oil is pure winterization will usually result in hard candy consistency IME.. (i use ethanol) . But if it is an oversoaked alcohol extract.. it won't do much good to the taste and solidifying the consistency

The Hercules works well with any consistency oil. Takes way mote power than an Omicron mini puts out though.

Unless its almost a liquid at room temp, this stuff should work fine in any of the W9 carts.

I think @Enchantre nailed it, I have had this stuff before.

Like Enchantre said, when using it on a wick nail like that you don't use much at once. You will quickly learn what is too much.

Using too much will result in a lot of boil/splatter that will get all over the dome and in the mouthpiece... very dirty mess. But if it is good, it will taste great and be a nice variety to your meds.

If it is in a cart, it should not matter, but domes like this below, it splatters all over the place if you over load:)

Yes. Just be sure to read up on how to load and use those. Also be sure to get the 2.4ohm 3.7v version.
