Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud EVO

Pickz

Vapes on vapes on vapes!
Sorry to see you broke your Swagger Puck HT, @macbill . Edit: Damn, sorry to hear it, @Pickz . I just sent in my backup unit because the firmware was running cool. I'm learning that (once I get it back) I need to take the time to start out from the very bottom of the dial, slowly working it up, until I find where the bamboo starts to glow. Then I'll know my bamboo's "breaking :goon:point", so to speak, and I won't ever push above it again.

Yes I was actually just thinking about this. My lighting was working differently after I got my firmware update and I had made a post about this. I don't feel like digging it up, but basically I had liked how the lighting was working although it was dimmer. My EVO is on a lot of the time and I had noticed at times that when it was off I could still see some red coming from the top of the unit. I never looked down in it or thought much of it. I thought it was a possible light malfunction. It may have been the glow of my unit being too hot... This isn't the worst time for this to happen to me because it's time to cram for finals. So I am looking at it glass half full and as I am a recreational user I can afford to take a little break. Or at least cut back...

Water isnt combusting at 100c because that is its boiling point. Oil is not the same as water because because it has hundreds of compounds that boil at different temperatures from as low as 104f so unless you start at that temperature and build your way up to a high temp, you will be burning the lower boiling compounds if you start at a high temp. Water also has no carbons in it so it womt burn the way oil will. Oi, is a hydrocarbon. You dont see the burning because oil is not like bud so it wont leave as much ash but that is because its not a carbohydrate like plant fibers are.

I dont think vaping or dabbing oil is bad if you do it once in a while but all the time I think down the line it may cause problems. First because you are takkng in a high amou t of cannabinoids at one time which I dont think is good for you endocannabinoid system. If absorbing too much food like sugars or carbs too fast isnt good for you, I dont think doing the same with cannabis is any different. Secondly, you are taking in burned oils into your bodh and overtime these can accumlate in your body and as you get older your body may not be able to detoxify these substances which means it may cause sickness when you're older. The thing is no one will be able to make the connection since the substances have been dormant in your adipose tissue(fat cells) and released overtime but is effecting you as an older person because you have a weak immjne system. I think we will start to see sickness occur in high oil/hash smokers as time goes on because of what I described. Of course lifestyle will play a apart because people who constantly sweat from exercise and eat properly, these problems may not come abour but from nonactive peol,e and those who eat garbage, it will be seen. Time will tell but, in the mean time I wouldnt take those chamces of using oil daily unless its ingestion or rasing the temperature in 5-10 degree increments from as low as possible to around 460f.

[QUOTE:jdee, post: 577311, member: 6233"]“Dabbing may be less harmful than smoking,” explained Shen, “but it’s still not vaporizing. When you’re heating the TI nail 900 to 1000 degrees and you’re dropping some oils onto it and watching it sizzle, that pad is getting hotter than a frying pan when you’re frying your food. Those char marks that are created, that’s combustion. That is also what happens when you use combustion to heat concentrates for dabbing.”

Water has a boiling point of 100c, if I heat my water to its boiling point and inhale the vapors, am I vaporizing or combustinGH eg theer? Hash oil just like cooking oil has a smoke point between 300-500f. Quercetin a flavonoid found in cannabis has a boiling point of 482f. Dabbers know to just barely let the nail or skillet turn a dull red before letting it cool for anywhere from 5-20 secs to reach the appropriate vaporization temperature. Most oil is not winterized meaning it's a mixture of essential oils and epicuticular waxes. 410F Cuticle waxes begin to burn, fumes and co-polymerize (like caramelized sugar in a skillet). If plant wax fumes don't interest you, winterize your oil. Or don't and vape below 410f. I went ahead and built a DIY e-nail and found with a carb cap it's a great way to control the temp, while getting all the flavor, without the. Aeed for torches.

Wow. You get an A. Thanks for the science, amazing what you can learn here and the knowledge of FC Citizens.

Nice reasoning Luciano, and you might be right dabbing is pretty new.

But if listening to your body counts for anything, my lungs say dabbing is less than flower vape! Flower vape always gets them hot and coughy...

Thats because when you use concentrates there are more oils that will condense onto each other and allow the smoke/vapor to feel cooler then raw bud. With bud more hot air is able to get through the smoke/vapor which will hit your lungs, dry them out a little and cause that irritation. You can still feel less irritation with bud by just grinding up your herb real fine, and packing your bowl tight, and evenly. This will allow the hot air from whatever heating source you use to cool down as it travels down the bowl and between the herb plant fibers, and cause the vapor from the herb to condense and feel much cooler. This technique works better for smoking then vaping since most vaporizers need some looseness in the bowl so the air can travel through the herb properly to keep the temperature stable but with the evo, and if you are not particular about the temperature you are using, this technique may still work since the evo and cloud allows a strong inhale to happen while still maintaining temperature.

BTW, this will also help get a nice flavor out of flowers since the condensation will give a denser vapor which will linger more in the mouth and eventually rise up to the nose area as you move your tongue around. The nose area is where we get all the "taste" from aromatic herbs, not the mouth or tongue, that is for heavier compounds like sugar, salt, fat, bitters, and umami. Peace.

Mine gets here tuesday, I am unconscionably excited to receive it and try it out on all my glass that hasn't seen alot of use since I've been on my concentrates kick. So VXH is coming out with a portable EVO? Isn't the EVO already portable to an extent?

No the EVO is definitely not portable. You need to plug it into the wall to get it to heat up. Also, that's one hell of a rig to call it portable. It needs to be much smaller.

I would say the E-Nano would be a better idea of "portable" but that still isn't in the portable category to me. It needs to operate on battery or something other than wall juice.

That's true. I was just thinking of the ability to unplug it for a bit and use it :p semi-portable.. the e-nano needs to be plugged in the entire time doesnt it?

And my fedex tracking just updated to Sat! woot woot!

Yeah definitely but much easier to carry around for portability :-)

More EVO & VXN action. This time back to back nails. Temperature noon dial. Both concentrates in the crumble state. Very convenient IMO for loading the VXN. Easy dosage, no sticky dabbers, fingers, nail etc etc.
First hit is of some Black Berry Kush crumble. Second one is an Agent Orange crumble. Both taste very good in the VXN. Last remain there's a little aftertaste. It can be avoided if you're not as greedy as I am.
Enjoy.

Stay vaped...

Mine should be here tomorrow... I shall do a video - my new phone has a better HD video than my camera does!
Has anyone tried just the plain straight mouthpiece with the VXN? I would think on the lower temps (noon and less) it should be okay? I normally don't switch to the HT unless I'm past 1 on the dial.
