Hey guys, been lurking on this forum for quite some time. First off, amazing thread.
@2clicker do you just follow the directions on the ejMix bottle? I find that a 1:1 ratio (1 ml to 1 gram of wax) produces a rather thick liquid when it's back at room temperature.
I couldn't get this mix ratio to properly wick in a CE5 clearomizer, ProTank 3, or a mini tank that I tried.
I would like to know how you mix your juice and if you could take a photo of your coil/tank setup.

Try winterizing your oil before you mix it with the ejmix.

I have only made 2 batches using ejMix, but it has worked great. I have gone for a 1:1 ratio of oil to mix and that has worked ok in mini protank 2 (but they leaked). I am now trying in a gotvapes sapphire v5 carto and so far no leaking. I did one batch winterized and one not. The winterized batch seems a bit thinner (but not a huge difference).

i do a 1:1 mix as well. of which works great in the ProTanks that i use. leaking is still a small issue for me, but not a huge deal. apparently kanger is claiming they have a leakproof tank coming out. forgot where i read that tho.
my advice would be to heat the ejmix first and then add your oil. if still too thick then just add small amounts of ejmix until its thinned enough.
and remember to always let your coil/wick soak for 15-20 mins (after filling) to allow the wick to saturate with juice before attempting to vape.

Can someone post a pic of ejmix-hashoil blend that has been standing/sitting for a few days? My nicjuice-hash blends separate overnight. When I vape it fresh, I get most of the flavor (carried by PG) in the first few hits, before getting THC-rich hits. This is the same problem I have vaping straight oil - I first get the floral notes (terpenes) and only later get the THC wallop. It would be awesome if EJMix solved these problems.

"leakproof" that would be great. I think I saw you have been trying the mPT3? How has that been leak wise?
Right now sapphires are doing the trick (no leaking for months) and I have 14 still in stock. There are several things I don't like about the sapphires though: plastic, crappy mouthpiece, tight draw. I am hoping by the time I use them up there will be a better solution.

ejmix DOES fix this. that is why it is worth it to purchase ejmix. it will not separate on you at all.
i have been slacking on trying the mPT3. i just havent needed any juice yet. i do have some events coming up where juice will be a must and will likely fill it then.
i would try the sapphires, but do not want plastic.

I wonder how much of that is a temp effect, that could be useful? No matter if it's herb or concentrate, as my substances heat up, the low temp boiling fractions carry more terpenes, then i get more characteristically "Sativa-like" vapor w/ lots of THC, then more of the other cannabinoids, perhaps more CBD in there, then finally the couchlock fractions.
So in the night I might inhale the first terpene hit, then actually pull but discard the THC-heavy second hit, then take the rest. Dial it in!
In the morning I take the Terpene and THC hits, but stop there and don't use the sedating higher temp fractions, just save the ABV.
I'm always eager for that first (lowest temp) hit because it goes right to my lower back and leg referred pain. It's best from a Sour Diesel strain, maybe the specific terpenes we taste in Diesels are specific to some peoples' lumbar nerve roots?
I don't know how your "heater" performs, but maybe the progression you're getting isn't an anomaly, just the gear heating up? And maybe it can be part of a useful technique?

The biggest downside for me so far with the mini protank 3 and Pure Gold is that I cough...a lot. I really didn't expect to but it's pretty frustrating. Harder to be stealthy when you have to cough like crazy.
I am really eager for a solid e-juice + THC recipe. If I could vape cherry coke juice AND get medicated, I would be so happy.

If you're using a 1.5Ω coil, try the 2.0Ω coil. If you're already using the 2.0Ω coil, what works for me is setting my mod to 7.5 watts (or 4.0 volts if you don't have a VW mod), and then only hold the power on for three seconds. My routine is to NOT preheat the coil, but to just put the mouthpiece to my mouth, press the button for three seconds while inhaling (lung inhale in my case, not mouth first then lung), let go of the button after three seconds and continue to inhale for two more seconds.
If I hold the button down for more than ~ three seconds, I get too large of a hit, and I cough my brains out. A three second hit is enough to produce serious clouds on the exhale, at least for me.

It may not be combustion (though it certainly may); I've found that Pure Gold "expands" in my lungs more than almost any other concentrate. When I share my rig with friends I always have to warn them not to take too big a hit the first time, because by the time your lungs have told you that you've got enough, you really have way too much. When I stop pushing the button at the three second point, it really doesn't feel like I got a hit at all. When I exhale, I discover that I really got a great hit.

Makes sense. I will have to get different coils since I am just using whatever comes with it. The first time I cranked it up to 4.0 volts I took like a 6 second hit and my god...it was brutal but then it was AWESOME. I have these atomizers sitting in my ebay cart ready to buy once I get paid.

It could also be that. The Pure Gold barely fills the cartridge and if I have it on it's side, some may not be on the wick. That's the thing with trying a new set up. So much to learn!

Try 3.4 volts for three seconds. Oh, and if you're carrying the mPT3 on its side, so the oil is mostly on the side of the tank, try holding it upright in your hand with your fingers wrapped around it, for a few minutes. The heat of your hand and gravity should cause the oil to settle back down at the bottom of the tank, where it belongs. Then take a half dozen or so UNPOWERED hits before pushing the button. It wouldn't hurt if you also did a couple of one second powered hits (instead of three second), to make sure the oil is really soaked up in the wick.

how do you figure? havent you ever taken a vapor rip so large that you cough from it?
happens to me all the time. and there is def no combustion going on.
