Discontinued Omicron Vaporizer for oils

I have a new buddy that can get me wax and I'd love to get a portable vape to try it out. Would this vape be appropriate for wax? If not, can someone lead me in the right direction?

I'm thinking no, but any idea whether or not the adjustable airflow control valve for Protank 2/3/Aero would work on the UP Tech Protank 2? I'm assuming an adapter would be needed.

Yea, these work great for wax. I've been using an Omicron Lite w/ a KISS cart all day every day with no problems.

Hi there! New to the omicron thread I've done hours of lurking but I'm still having some trouble sifting threw all this info lol. some of you on here sound like bill nye the fuckin science guy and I'm starting to feel like Chris Farley in almost heros when he trys to learn the alphabet lol.
I got me an ophos cause i made me some good ol Rick Simpson oil and first off I'm loving the kiss cart its seems real reliable and I've already cleaned it back to new about 3 times so far by dropping it in iso for a few hrs and letting dry over night. So far so good
Now i also got them 1.5 ohm omicron/persi/ophos cartridges that are so pose to be filled with around .5 if I'm understanding correctly, and this is where my problem lies. When i
first used one of these carts i had pretty
good results but i only put a tiny bit in the
cartridge probably like 6 dabs worth just
dripping it in there off the end of a needle
cause i didn't have a fill tool yet. Not sure
how much i put in but it wasn't much, it
seemed to work great and lasted about 30
hits or so.
Then i tried refilling the same cart the next
day when my fill tool came and i put a lot in
probably around the .5 mark if not a lil more,
and when i went to hit it oil came gushing up
threw the air hole into the mouth piece??
What did i do wrong here?
Are these prone to doing this?
And if so is there any other cart for the ophos that i can get that is a one time fill deal So i
don't have to reload if I'm out of the house all
day.
I really do apologize because I'm sure this
was talked about so please don't hate on me. i love this forum and its a plethora of
information I just haven't had the time to
really dig deep into this. If anyone can help
me out a little here it will be much appreciated. Thanks FC

What ever happened to the universe attachment? And is the persei compatible with any ejuice tanks other than uptech's protank 2? I have an outrageous number of ecig shops in my city and would like to not have to order from w9 for all my ecig needs

If it comes gushing up that normally means it's been over filled .

You can buy an adapter so that you can use any 510 threaded e juice tank. We are a 601 thread.

sounds like you have over filled the cart @bubbha ho-tep
if you go over 1 gram of essential oils it will gush into the mouth piece.

Any links to said adapter? FC is always so willing to answer questions. I truly appreciate the help

Edit: decided I might try to answer my own question. Found the adapter at planetvape. At $8.99 it seems a bit pricey though?

I went ahead a pulled the trigger. Ordered the persei kit from v8pe.com. the protank 2 from w9tech hoping it has 601 threading and a 510 to 601 adapter from gentlemansvapes.com. when it gets here I'll have to go shopping for a case since for some odd reason the fancier sibling of the omicron doesn't get an OEM case. But I'm not bitter. Just sober

Yea I just use a sunglasses hardcase fir mine. Ryot also makes small cases which fit well too... although IMO they are just sunglasses cases with added padding.

If you guys are into ejuice we have the next generation Tanks here for testing. So far i have gone through about 5ml of ejuice non stop puffing and man i still dont get that burnt taste at all.

Got my persei in. I must say - I like it. Ordered mine from v8pe.com w/o realizing their kit didn't include the double cart top or an 18650 battery. I opted for the v8pe kit because it was supposed to come with a kiss cart instead of the original which it actually came with. However, after running to my local ecig store and picking up some juice and a few 18650s the persei and protank are a great match. No learning curve at all.

I tried out the 7.4v battery config with my 5ohm non-kiss cartridge and it tasted horribly metallic but it did get me quite medicated. I didn't prime the cart or practice a conservative technique with the power button though.

While the persei did its job as an oil vape and ecig, oil vaping could have been much more enjoyable. There's no way I'm giving up though - I have a feeling I didn't fill the cart up quite enough also. I'm fairly certain the cart is still usable so I will definitely keep at trying to learn to use this beauty effectively.

I have tried to contact v8pe about the false advertising but have only been able to leave a voicemail so far.

Where can I find a double cart top by itself? I have only seen it available as part of a kit.

I bought mine from @VaporWarehouse. They had the description for the double top kit and when I received a kit that was different from the one advertised, they made it right. They sent me a KISS cart and the battery. No double top though. They are a class act.
The double tops have been Phased out by W9tech. You may still be able to find a member here selling one. I bought mine from @Sleepin in CA for $20 . Keep your eyes on the classified. Mine will be a spare. They are only able to attach 2 of the original EO Carts. NOT 2 KISS carts. You can get the same clouds from one KISS cart as from the double cart setup. OR if you want a bullet-proof cart that you can load more into then the Hercules SR-74 may be for you. Just be aware there is a learning curve for that one. Lots of help here though.

Double tops are no longer made, and all Persei kits should now come with a single top and a Ti KISS cart. That's not a "kit" specific to any one retailer. In fact, if you send W9 a dead double top, they will send you 3 titanium KISS carts in return, since they no longer make/repair dual tops.

FWIW, IMO the older "essential oils" carts are far inferior to W9s current lineup. Cant go wrong with the KISS cart for load as you go dabs, or the SR-71/SR-74 Hercules carts for on demand mass vaporization and larger capacity.

wrong thread guys, the persei thread is just around the corner.

So I've had my Titanium KISS cart for a couple days now and I've had a blast using it. I was very satisfied with my purchase until about yesterday when my cart started to act up.

I'm using the cart with an authentic 510 threaded ego c-twist battery and the 510-601 adapter sold by PlanetVape. I've been having trouble getting the coil to heat up. At first I thought the cart was clogged, so I gave it an ISO wash, but I was still having trouble getting the coil hot. So I started finicking with the tightness of the cart on the adapter, and surely enough, the coil was getting hot, but only in this position (which surprisingly feels loose)! I slightly adjusted the tightness and again, the coil was not heating up. Since I'm charging this battery nightly, reattaching the cart and fine tuning the tightness is a huge PITA.

Has anyone had any similar issues? Any suggestions?

My guess is that the floating pin in your 510-601 adapter has "gapped" by pushing the center pin in the KISS cartridge inwards a bit (assuming that the pad in battery has no give). I'd suggest looking at the center pin in the adapter and eyeball it to see if it's centered longitudinally and then eyeball the center pin in the KISS cart to see if it needs to be wiggled outward just a smidge.

If the train cars bump into each other enough, they'll make gaps between themselves

EDIT: also clean threads with iso on a q-tip if they look even the slightest bit grimey. Just a bath doesn't always float the crud away that is jammed in there.

There is no voodoo in there. The center pin is just that a pin. There is a wire wedged between the pin and white ptfe bushing. The other wire is wedged between the ptfe bushing and the threaded part. You will not hurt anything by pulling it out gently. It should stick out slightly past the threaded part. I rebuilt 2 KISS carts yesterday. No worries.
