Yeah, I ordered on September 1st, and just put it out of my mind, lol. I have been reading a lot of threads on FC to get caught up so I am in the know once it gets here.

I also am using the time to really get everything I'll need for the PD like a grinder, extra tubes, billy bowl, tube holder, scale, etc.. Obviously one doesn't need all that, but I should be good to go once it arrives.

Yes, I read the entire Grinder thread. It seems to be a near consensus that the PD specifically works better or more efficiently (please correct my wording) with well grinded herb. It gives it more surface area to vape. Other vapes benefit from well grinded herb as well, but not all need it as much as the PD and some other need to.

I already have a 4pc. Space Case Medium Titanium but I recently also ordered a Space Case Scout grinder, because it has a smaller hole size at 3mm which should give a finer grind. There are a lot of options, go check out the thread, it's a good read.

I don't have the PD yet, and I don't quite have the extra money to fork over for a space case, even though i would like one :/, but I do like my CC and if it isn't fine enough for the PD when it finally arrives, hopin' it is, then I'll either grind it again, or be creative, I'm good at that :lol:.

Lucic, I know this is off topic, but we're in the lounge so it's all good, but who/what is in your avatar picture, looks like a hockey goalie, and I see you're from LA, I'm sorry but if that is the Kings or any team really (Sharks fan... and what a horrible time to announce that as they are losing 4-2 to the Kings at the moment but anything can happen :ko:), I am going to have to strongly disagree :p, it's ok I hold nothing against you personally, just any team that isn't the Sharks, remember, not you. :lol: :cool:. (I hope the sarcasm came across nicely I have problems typing my tone over the interwebs.) Wow, I am clearly out of it :D

Yeah, the Space Cases are very nice, but you can get great grinders for cheaper that will work great. It's overkill, but what the hell.

Yeah, another hockey fan! The avatar is Andy Moog, back when he was on the Boston Bruins circa '91 or so. That's my team as I am from Boston. He was my favorite Bruins goalie when I was growing up, and that specific mask remains my favorite to this day.

Now San Jose, we swapped some players, remember? :brow: You guys made out great and we did too, although it took a couple of years. I wished it was a Sharks-Bruins finals last season. Oh well, I hope to see a Cup in my day.

Who doesn't (want to see the cup), I am definitely glad though that you're not an LA fan or I would be very upset right about now, giving the game away after a comeback from 4-0 to 4-4, they give away the 5-4 goal and lose another one to the empty net, final 6-4 :/:mad:. And yes that trade was definitely beneficial. Bruins Sharks would make for an excellent game. Who wouldn't love to see a cup?

$15 coffee grinders from Wal-Mart or any other dept. store seem to work the best in terms of grind consistency (very fine) and effort (very low).

I have read that, but there is also a view that (some) coffee grinders grind up the herb too fine. I have not used them, so can't speak from experience. Anyway, peeps should head on over to the Grinder thread to continue grinder talk, lots of great info for a FC member to make an informed decision. I love FC! :)

Just ordered the PD (purple bottom) a couple of hours ago. So, what time-frame should I be expecting for it to arrive, say around mid-December at the latest? I would love to have it by Christmas to maximize my holiday enjoyment :D.

And thus the waiting begins....:rolleyes:. At least I'm on a T break right now, so the wait might be a little easier for me. I'm sure it will be well worth it though!

The estimated wait time is posted on the PD order page. Currently 9+ weeks. If they change it to 6 weeks next month, that doesn't mean you'll get yours 3 weeks sooner. The estimated wait time only applies to people who haven't ordered yet. As it's Christmas shopping season now (for early birds anyway), it's not surprising that we're currently seeing 9+. ;)

Yay! It's here! Order #2375 (cherry/purple leather), ordered 8/03, has just been handed to me by a rather lovely UPS driver. I am sitting in my kitchen gazing at the ostensibly nondescript brown package. I feel as if I'm about to depart on a journey. Or at least in about forty-five minutes or so. I shall report.

Yay! Hopefully I should get a shipping notice soon then. I ordered 8/9, 2418. Haven't gotten one yet, but this week is week 8 and next is week 9. Hopefully soon. I keep telling people I should get it soon for a week and a half now. Gonna have some friends over to oggle it as soon as I actually get my hands on it.

Just checked and my order # is 2852 and I am officially on the wait-list! hoo-ray! And now the hard part begins...:uhoh:

So, roughly what range of order numbers are being shipped out at this point? I really don't know where I stand just based off my order #. When did you order your PD, Shoe?

Ordered 9/23 got two weeks under my belt :) should have 3 weeks under my belt but I messed up my first transaction and had to wait a week. I have no credit card... amazing right? So I took my paycheck down cashed it and bought a $200 gift card and used it to purchase my PD. I forgot to register and had to wait a week before the "pending" payment was cleared. How unfortunate... But regardless my countdown only gets smaller and smaller daily :D

Also to answer your other question people above were stating that their numbers were around 2470's and were arriving today. Still it's going to be a while have fun, and luckily you're on a T-break. :)

My # is 2461, ordered 8/15 and I'm still waiting. I ordered the purple bottom for one reason only, because I'd hoped to get the unit sooner. Apparently I chose wrong, and if I'd ordered the paisley I'd have a PD in my hands right now. Sorry, but that's unfair.

There should be a third option, imo: purple bottom, paisley bottom or whichever is available first. I suspect that if the third option were offered the majority of people would chose it, rather than risk weeks being added to their wait time. :2c:

I don't think it is a matter of paisley vs. purple bottom, Tom explained previously that they make whatever is in demand at that point. He said something along the lines that Vapenow.com sends them orders that need to be filled and an approximation on how many of each type they should make for that batch.

As for the third option, for speedy delivery, I completely agree, but I could see that be hazardous, because Vapenow.com would have trouble trying to approximate how many of each should be made to send to Tom and Pam. It could further accentuate problems similar to yours where people further back in line are getting theirs sooner. That is my :2c:. Hopefully you will get yours soon enough to the point where it won't matter :).

I'm currently standing at 22 hours :D. Not even a whole day...lol. That's great man, at least you know it's on the way. I hate that initial processing "hump" that can sometimes take a while, especially when you're anxious as hell to get it. But the PD will truly be a test of patience...just put it in the back of your mind and before you know it, the delivery guy will be handing you your holy grail :D

Well, roughly 400 more before mine gets on the truck... hopefully. Yeah, the t-break will help a lot on the wait, or at least a good chunk of it, depending on how long I stretch it out. Coming to FC doesn't really help the wait though, as it's always constant reminder :lol: But I think I can manage....Good luck dealing with that wait man! Oh yeah, is this your first vaporizer?
