The 2.0 itself is great for me, the first version was nice but the 2.0 was a good upgrade, I was always able to produce clouds after 40 seconds. The glass capsule is pretty nice compared to the original, if you can upgrade your version 1 to 2.1 or more of get it replaced, I highly recommend it, I have been just putting UD stems in there are using it like a log vape.

I'm hoping 3.0 he gives a smaller form factor, and utilizes formed screens.

The main issue people seemed to have with the 2.0 was taking too long to get good vapor. With the 2.1 i only held the trigger for twenty seconds before drawing and subsequent hits only took 5 seconds to get back to heat. This is why i believe it will be a strong candidate for a one hitter. These were definitely nice clouds

I know the issue, and agree that the 2.0 definitely has a temperature restriction, its damn near impossible to get it hot enough to combust for me. While the 2.1 brought that back. Mine which I am sure was one of the first 2.0s because I was discussing receiving it before he started selling them worked/works extremely well, but I have videos as evidence. I do think the 2.1 upgrade is worth it for 35 dollars, especially since most people didn't spend over 100 for this great device.

After playing around with my 2.1 over the weekend, I will say it is fairly easy to combust. I did combust twice, not sure how it happened. One thing I did try was moving the screen up a notch with the stem. Not sure if this will make a difference. Anyways, you cant just hold the trigger down for a minute straight while taking draws with this one. Still happy with my unit but defintely have to pay attention to the heat.

Here my first feedback about my upgrading from V1 to V2.1:

unboxing: same size but some differences in body design, it's more square but the main difference is the oven and heater itself, remenber I don't owned the V2, there is a hole for the air inlet (V1 there is no hole), the larger aperture for the glass capsule and you can see the heater in the oven (before the oven was wrapped around the oven). In fine I prefer the look of my old V1 (more simple)

First bowl: I packed 1/3 of the caps with fine grounded bud and pushed the power button 20s and start to draw slowly 20s and get a little cloud, i push again 10s and take another draw 2 times like that before to feel the burn taste, I thought the bowl was finish but in fact the upper part was green and the down part black (combusted), I was disappointed and thought fuck it would better to keep my V1.

2nd bowl: before to load I pushed the glass caps screen a little bit up and load again, PERFECT, nice taste and no combustion at all BUT it takes a little bit longer to heat.

Conclusion: I think the V2.1 is a upgrade from the previous version (2.0) but I'm not disapointed but my V miss to me and there is not lot of differences in term of taste, efficiency, heating time and clouds between my previous V1 and my new 2.1, but I found the V1 easier to use and I prefered the design.
It's trully possible that my opinion moves, I just done 2 bowls with it, I'll keep you tuned!

ps: hi FW, do you think there is a way to get my old V1 back (and we can discuss about conditions from pm)

PPN I completely agree with your review. Pushing the screen up just a tad bit does help with the combustion. With the screen all the way at the bottom it is very easy to combust. One thing I have started doing is heating it up without the stem or capsule for 45 seconds, drop them in and then go from there. With the screen moved up i am able to press the button for ten seconds start darwing and keep the button pressed for an additional 20 seconds. At around the third or forth draw i am able to get vapor without pressing the button at all. The key with this one semms to be pushing the screen up a bit imo

After more bowls through it I'm pretty satisfy of my FW2.1, with flowers it's better for the taste to push the glass caps screen up as I spoke before and I can get a fully extracted abv without any bad taste except when the bowl is finish.

It still my tastier portable vape (just after the TV evo, but the FW is easier to use)

just got my v2.1 and power adapter what a fine tool, not as fast as mflb but faster than an ascent, and with the glass bowl and air path the flavor is just as good, this unit is right between those two in cost and use, the learning curve is easy just takes practice. special thanks to MARC for his help. I have been showing it off all day. told you practice..practice...practice.

I have to say I hate you guys (all of you!) for infecting me with the VAS virus, and I hate you @firewood even more for making your (lovely) device available at such a discounted price! Coupon, power adapter, you got me! Shipping was bloody fast, it's already sitting in my palm. I hate you.

I knew I needed a second portable to complement my Ascent, but I initially planned to buy this one as a surprise gift for the gf's birthday. Meanwhile she broke one of my Ascent glass straws, told me once she didn't like wood objects in general, also told me that if she had a vape it would need to be sturdy and bullet proof (ie no glass) and cherry on the cake...she also told me it was perhaps not the best time to invest in vaporizers, seeing our medicine supply might end abruptly in the next months...

As you might guess the Firewood is now mine, and for those who did not follow, I ordered her a Vapormax V instead, as it seems to fit her needs better. But let's not derail too much! Did I say that I hated you?

Now this vape is slightly bigger than I expected. It has a form factor similar to the Ascent but takes more space as it's a brick rather than a shaver. It's still incredibly small, completely pocketable and palmable. It's sturdy, it's clever, it's perfectly built, it's beautiful, I hate you!

I was on the cheap side and got an "unfinished" one. Should I apply oil/wax necessarily before using the device too much? Will it hurt the wood if I use it as is? Yes I said too much because I already used it...twice..or more precisely 2.5 times... It's too soon to comment, a manual drive vape like this one necessarily has a learning curve, I was expecting it but still managed to get it working relatively effortlessly. I watched the video you just posted and mimicked the timing on the device at the same time and got indeed better results than in my early attempts.

But I'm not there yet. I need practice. I'll refrain commenting futher.

I got my V1 unit back and the power adaptater, I just done 1 bowl in my FW2.1+PA and 1 bowl in my FW1.0+PA, 2.1 tastes definitly better until you push the power up cause after I got black spots on the bottom if the glass capsule (screen is 1mm up) but perhaps I just need to improve my technique...
I'm really happy to get my FW1.0 back, it tastes very near of the glass version and heating time is faster and clouds are bigger (the PA gives a little bit more power I think) and I prefer the form factor too (a little bit smaller and not square in hand).

I think the 2.1 air flow is better but , in fact, it's not a really better thing cause if you draws too hard you cold your load, 1.0 airflow is more restricted.

V2.1 abv was black and green, V1.0 abv was fully brown....I remenber I had issues to get a nice abv with my V1.0 when I got it 10 months ago, I need more testing with my new FW2.1!

Thanks Marc I love your vapes!

Just a couple of more days and I'll be ordering this fine vape. Anymore observations on the ABV from the 2.1?

Yes I exagerated a bit when I spoke about a black and green abv, I just have some difficulties to extract all the goodies without getting some black spot, when I don't care about to get big clouds I have better results with abv (more evenly vaped).

Learning curve is different than my V1, this is explain my issues with abv, but more I use it better abv I get, if you care about the taste this vape is for you, remenber to push the glass capsule screen up and when your unit is hot release the power button between hits (after the 2nd hit).

If you want a even dark abv draw very slowly, don't pack at all and order the PA for a little bit more power!

Enjoy your vape, it's a good choice!

Awesome! Sounds like it really even cooks the load... love that about this vape. I have an MFLB and I love that little thing but its challenging to get an evenly baked load. Thats what I'm really looking forward to with this vape; evenly baked loads. Also convection in such an attractive wooden package!

Doesn't look like a breathalyzer or like it should have been bought out of the Apple store lol.

What is the difference between the power supply adapter and the charger that comes with the firewood? Can anyone tell me the voltage/amperage/wattage of the power adapter?

Man I wish I had gone through this thread earlier. I have read all the pages and fell in love with this beauty. I just got a vapman for 85$ about 2 weeks ago and for 75$ I could have had this beast. I will be on the look out for more sales since Marc does offer a lot. Great work on the unit and can't wait to own one for myself. I know what my next vape shall be :evil::brow:.

Yes this vape is amazing, taste is incredible and it punchs my face with a very small load, its signature effect is really "unique", I don't understand why there is nobody in the famous FC menber team to support this company and own this vape...

I'm agree with Paytonpenn about a smallest form factor!

The V1 heat definitly faster than the 2.1 (this one don't produces clouds under 20 seconds as claimed...)
