So are these basket screens the be all and end all or is it better perhaps to use a flat screen?

When I originally bought the enano, people on here were saying the all-glass gongs and stems were better than what was originally sent with the enano, and now people are saying that the adjustabowl stems and gongs are the best. Can I ask, what were the first (original) stems and gongs like?
Here is my take on it.

I never could get the original pinch stem + screen to work, as my screen would do a flip thing, every damn time.
I got the glass screened stems/Gongs, and that was a big improvement, though I would still jam a screen in it, to keep the fine particles from getting through so much. Pretty awkward, and the bowl size was reduced.
Another factor was the variations in bowl sizes with the hand-blown stems.
Adjust-a-bowl gives you the ability to EASILY put a screen in the stem, AND have it sitting in any position from the heat source that YOU want. The basket screen will stay pretty much where you slide it to, and will keep the bits of herb from getting through.

I've got a Gong coming now...

It's here it's here! This thing is gorgeous and much smaller than I expected. I guess I figured it would be closer to the size of a coozie...

Anyway, to testing! First impressions, I should have gone with the adjustabowl rather than the pinched stem, also that light is hypnotic. :whoa:

Edit: already broke my gong on just my 2nd session with it. :(

It felt pretty snug and I'm usually pretty easy with my equipment. I have already made a contraption with a piece of silicone and a PNP pong. A little broken glass won't get in the way of testing this baby.

Slight change to the website. They've added a Enano Replacement Cord V1 for 19.95 and I think a few of the prices have changed. It doesn't actually say whether the replacement cord differs from the old one except for the fact that it's longer. Is the dimmer located differently as well?

Lately I have really spent a lot more time looking around FC at each of the vapes reviewed and discussed. I am reassured to see that as of now, only the Nano and the Persei (as well as Andy and Gary respectively) get such consistent, incredible feedback. Even when either of them makes a mistake or has a problem, they more than make it right, quickly!

This thread gets more video love than pretty much any other on this board, including the FC Vape olympics! Sure we might just be avid video takers, but this thread stands out to me as the kind of thread which will sell a product to anybody who stopped in to see what the fuss was about!

Super stoked that Andy has added cords to the website. Replacement parts are a great option to have when so many of us around the world can't bear to part with their nanos!

Keep up the great work Andy - and keep on toking fellow vaporists! :D

I'm glad to read this post, it's just what I wanted to hear with my nano currently in transit.

My friend came across an unofficial herb vaporizer store. According to him all the owner has is piles of brand new vapes spread out on tables. The stores only advertising is by word of mouth and he has a test model for every vape so you can try it out. I'm going there tomorrow to try out some vapes!
I'm sort of really hoping they all suck in comparison to the nano :D:lol:

Jimbob, where in Australia (I seem to remember you being a fellow Aussie) is this vape demonstration parlour??? I want in!
I'm not sure exactly where but it's in Norwood, SA, if I recall correctly. The store is known as Vaporama. Interestingly I had heard someone talk about it before but they didn't know details or if it was even still up and running.

I would like to tell you be carefull with your PonG setup cause I bet the nano heat a lot more than your PNP and there is already issues with melted PonG with the PNP.

Ed's TNT got issues to make his nano stem cause extremes t°....

Also, how does this compare to the other wooden vaporizers I see on this site, the Underdog and HI? I've been trying to read through every thread since I joined a couple weeks ago, but it seems mostly user dependent? Are there any measurable differences between the three (vapor production, draw speed, etc.)? I'd love to get my first vape soon before I leave for school!

I have ordered it :)
Does anyone knows the best transformer wattage for EU use ?

Have good vapes !

EDIT :
"Voltage coming through my dimmer is 118.5v AC on level 1 and 122v AC on level 10. That seems to be about right, given that we are varying between quite low wattages (15w draw at level 10 is max, according to Andy). Remember, voltage times amperes equals wattage."

So I understand that transformer must be at least 30 w for 220V.

Thanks

There have been waits for shipping, at least from time to time. But it's a one man operation afaik and that's too be expected. I remember people waiting more than 6 months for a purple days. I say the e-nano is well worth the wait, currently my favorite vape other than thc e-liquid.

yay, my adjust-a-bowl stems are out for delivery! will see how i like them, i would've just stuck with the old ones i know, but i think the adjust-a-bowl are all that's on offer.

There are other vapes on FC that consistently get good reviews of both the vapes themselves and customer service. The HI & UnderDog (also logs created and produced by one-man shows) and MFLB (by a company who stands behind their product and takes care of customers well), come to mind off the top of my head - but sure there are others, too. Not to take anything away from Andy (or Gary), but we're fortunate to have such a great community here with manufacturers and vendors who participate regularly and share the love. Even though threads for some of the more popular vapes grow quickly and can be cumbersome to sort through, you won't find a better source of information for vaping than FC!

There have been more than a few posts on this thread comparing both to the nano. Hard to search on HI (because only 2 letters), but search just this thread on Underdog and troll through for HI to find plenty of info.

A thread with a little bit about differences between UD & nano .

A thread comparing HI & nano .

Keep in mind, challenges of this vape vs. that one are frowned upon for the most part on FC. Understandably so, as such discussions usually degrade pretty quickly with fans of either lining up against each other.

Some objective differences:

nano is AC, electric cord with dimmer to adjust power/heat.
HI & UD are DC, power/heat can be adjusted with variable voltage power supply.

nano uses all glass stems and gongs.
HI has MANY stems/gongs from all glass to silicone to cork (some are reported to fit nano).
UD uses primarily silicone on the port (AFIK - please correct me if necessary. haven't been on that thread lately).

Exotic wood differences with all, UD made in different shapes.

Pricing from high to low - UD, nano, HI

General wait time (if not getting specific wood) from less to most (generally) UD, nano, HI. This changes some with availability of UD and nano. UD out of stock right now, but think that is pretty rare. Think nano is in stock now. HI has a waiting list that is currently at about 1 year.

Personally - I've only used an UD a couple times and liked it, but like my nano a lot more. Regrettably, I've never tried an HI - but I'm on the wait list. Think all of these will get you there pretty easily (though HI seems to have more of a learning curve), so any would be a great choice. But for me (right now at least), the nano is king of the roost. Do your research and let us know what you end up with.

It's definitely worth the wait...but it's not just waits for shipping, it's waiting for communication. Communication is huge....it's been over a month since I ordered, 10 days since PM......trying to stay patient.

Just got my nano and i just wanted to say this thing is beautiful! The power for the size of this unit is great, it is even tinier in person than i had imagined. Thanks again @ACE OF VAPE for changing the wood for me! It only took 7 days from ordering to recieving the unit and that is pretty impressive . I would post a picture but i don't really know how lol.

so i think i like the adjust-a-bowl's larger bore and thus the better airflow. But i need to figure out replacement screens, or do people just clean them?

This seems like it must fix any problems with stirring dislodging the screen too, right?

Hi everyone. Thinking about the replacement cord (v1) that's listed on the website, if using one terminates the warranty, would the warranty be terminated if I bought one and didn't use it? Also, are the main advantages of this new cord the extra length, a stronger connection at the nano, and probably most importantly, the dimmer switch being further away from the nano? Is it possible to modify the nano at home by adding some cable length between the nano and the switch? It should be really easy I think. Would that change the temperature settings slightly? Has anyone done this? If so, what gauge wire did they use?

Lastly, is v2 going to be the detachable cable?

Cheers everyone.

ok., gotta break the habit of quick moment of weakness purchases, but i like the new adjust-a-bowl enough to go and order the adjust-a-bowl 19mm GonG and some replacement screens.,.the thicker glass is nice.

I love the vape all over again with the new stem. Does it still work as well with smaller loads though? espeically with adjustable height, i assume it'll still be ok. But i'm a sucker for that good airflow.

Can you provide a link to the Nano replacement cord, and also the reference to the warranty being voided if the replacement cord is used (if I'm reading you right?)? I'm not seeing it on the website.
Doesn't make sense to me that the warranty is voided for using one of their own supplied cords:hmm:. Thanks!
