Especially coming from god-knows where! I wonder if we are being smart with this cheap glass from China...Can glass be toxic at all (the way we use it) if it is cheap glass?

Seems like kind've a paranoid way to look at it.
Just because the materials originate in China doesn't instantly make them low quality.
Raw Chinese borosilicate glass is just very low priced; in addition the labor and shipping are being done in-house, so no middle-man markups. You are paying for materials and labor, not a brand name.
Even Some "brand name" blowers use Chinex for their work; the ones that will admit to it praise it for being high quality at a fraction of the price.

I didn't clean my D and the first time out of it, my vapor tasted like fermented tofu.
Of course clean your new glass before use (no matter where it's from), but I think the risk of contaminant or toxic matter is low on our DHgate stuff. Heck it may be lower risk than the FC Classifieds.

Another happy customer here for the D020 from Sunshinestore. It came very quickly, took less than 10 days to northeastern US. I'm very satisfied with the quality of the piece. It's definitely worth more than $30. I'm really enjoying it as an oil rig. Here's a quick dab:

Oh and @Sinclue - I'm in the same situation with the Aaryan guy, though, just for a couple of the $5 pieces. I've received pretty much the exact response you did. I'm just waiting to see if he answers my request for a refund as he doesn't seem to be honoring single item sales, even though his site conveniently allows purchases for single items as you pointed out. If I don't hear back soon I'll go the Paypal route.
Back to regularly scheduled programming . . .

There are concerns of proper annealing with the China pieces. I have however only heard these concerns from American glass blowers. So it does raise a good question. Is there a big concern of improperly annealed pieces? Are these pieces in that boat?

I don't import construction supplies from China because the sheetrock boards, paste, etc are known to contain toxins and nasty shit, so I ask

Lol, you don't have to twist my arm to buy these pieces. I've been doing it for quite a bit now. Just giving prior information b/c the question of proper annealing of the China pieces, has been brought up in this thread beforehand.

It's madness now! Back in the day members had to sift through alibaba not AliEx to find a vendor that would sell a sample piece. Then the hc ac got purchased in bulk and slowly from there pieces have been coming up. But when @jambandphan03 disclosed sunshine store, now that blew the top off this thread and it's been going at a breakneck speed lately. I wonder how many newer people on here know what the infamous is??

To be honest I have nearly bought this similar item 4 times but never did because of the Male adaptor and because of the fact that we can not see for sure if the end of the in-line perc is closed or not and also perhaps because of the lack of can space, well too many doubts for a Chinese piece.

Not surprised to hear you were misled too. I've gotten a couple of emails from him. He's clearly at a disadvantage trying to communicate in English. So far he's blamed his web page creator, his employees, and problems with his supplier. And yet his web page still is the same posing as a retail site. I just checked and you can still place single items in your cart and proceed to checkout without any notification that there is a MOQ.
Another member has been in contact with him and actually tried to order 10 of one of the items. The guy came back with the MOQ was now 20!
I even offered to pay a reasonable amount for S/H if he'd honor the sale. I explained how a successful review on sites like this could help his business. He returned that it wasn't possible to mail a single item. ????????? I'm pretty sure you can mail a single package from virtually any country in the world.
As you probably know his account at PayPal has been suspended (not sure how he expects to pay me back in 7 or 8 days). I have filed a claim with them so we'll see where that gets me.
Maybe there should be a "Merchants To Beware Of" thread.

Have the sunshine factory make the same piece with a 7mm wall thickness and ghgate to handle the transaction.
