Some friends of mine just rolled out their new product: a specialized shear for trimming. I just ordered and got my pair, and while I wasn't able to try them on anything fresh, I can tell they are a really great product. They're extremely sharp and the ground tips make it great to get in as close as possible for snipping. The black non-stick coating doesn't allow for anything to stay on there, but I'm sure that would be put to a better test during a harvest.

I know they put a lot of time and effort into finding the perfect shear for the job over the years. These apparently work the best. Check them out if you have the time!

They look like a solid pair of shears, do you think the non-stick coating will work for a long period of time? 20 bucks is respectable price for quality shears, I must admit I was thinking they were going to be outrageous for sure. Good to see that is not the case. Would love a review of these after extensive use! Thanks for the post...

Wonder if you could find the same scissors without the 420 branding for cheaper. Only mayyybe.

I wish I could say I grew or even had anybody to trim for around me, but I do not. I know this same model in use for a while and the nonstick apparently lasts well (with good treatment). With shipping I think it was less than $26, so hopefully somebody who can really put them to use could put them through the wringer.

I just want to also say that I have not been asked, contracted, etc. to make this post. It just seems like a good product, and I know there are some people around here who may be gardeners and interested. This is all out of personal interest. Thanks for looking guys and girls.

They look great, just not my personal choice style which is more of a fine pointed needle type tip

These are pretty tiny. The whole shear is probably only 4-5" from the tip to end. I don't know trimming shears, so maybe it is big.

I used to live with some people who grew back in the college days, and I think this is a fantastic idea!

These obviously aren't meant for harvesting duty, just fan leaf trimming and possibly bud pruning, but with that sharp tip you could use them for advanced topping and cloning techniques too!

I love it, the more places legalize cannabis, the better toys we get!

My favorite pair are very similar in dimensions.

Would love to try a pair of the 420 sharp, but not @ 20$. These are only $6.20 and have been quite durable. Looks like the 420 sharp have a screw in the middle?

Only issue for me is that they don't have a spring!
After trimming lots of plants the auto opening of the pair of scissors makes it so much easier on your hands!
I love my micro tipped scissors

Here are some that my crew found online...they have needle point blades and teflon coating as well. I think they have both the bonsai and the spring, pretty fat scissors! PRO 420 Scissors

Spring assist is a must. I'm personally not a fan of the "thumb holes" either. My personal favorites are $11.57+free shipping.

I gotta have a spring loaded pair. I prefer the Fiskar titanium tip micros, about $10.

the PRO 420's are a little pricier, but way more solid than the fiskars. They have teflon coating, and
are more comfortable. I'm never going back!
