Discontinued Omicron Vaporizer for oils

Hello! My Persei recently died, so I need to find a replacement for it. I was wondering if there is much reason for me personally to get another Persei though, since I believe the HVD top now has all the functionality of the Persei. Also, for me portability is a plus.

For roughly the same price, I could either purchase: option 1 - Persei; option 2 - Omicron mini + The Core. Option 1 would have a longer battery life and be able to run 7.4v on the go, but option 2 would possess most of the abilities of the Persei (variable voltage, up to 7.4v) plus portability.

Also, do certain attachments (for example: Nibbers, Bender, etc) require the Persei, or would most (all?) attachments theoretically work on an HVD top plus the Core? I understand that certain combinations are probably not recommended due to lack of real world testing.

Thanks in advance!
Can you not send in your Persei top for repair, then you can have both.
The biggest difference between your 2 options is the Omicron HVD will not be able to do 7.4v on the go (with batteries). You will be able to use it with The Core in a vehicle with the included 12v plug. Also, I have not tried The Bender with my omicron and Core ( I use the hammer top). The Herc (either 71-or 74) will work like a champ with the Core and HVD, and therefore so will the Nibbler xL. Now, if you add a Hammer top (fairly cheap) to the Omicron option, you can have it all (Hammer top is best bet for running Bender). The Core comes with the ability ( both inserts come with Core) to power either Persei or Omicron.

Unfortunately, my regular Persei was stolen, so I'd been using my double Persei top until recently. A few days ago, it started smelling burnt and the light on it indicates that the device is on as soon as you screw the battery onto the top. The light does not go off, so I assume the device is dead. Also, I don't think the double tops are covered by warranty, but hopefully I'm wrong.

I think they are discontinued. But their Customer Service is 5 Star. Open a ticket on their site and explain the situation. Maybe they will do some kind of exchange. It can't hurt to try.

I just sent a message on w9. I'm guessing that's the same thing as submitting a ticket, but I'm unsure. Thanks everyone for the help and instantaneous replies.

Just a little question: I own many 1.5ohm essential oil cartridges with a cheap ego battery, my actual cartridge was filled the first time with 0.7 and I added 2 times 0.4g (so the total is 1.5g), do you think I can add again 0.4? the cartridge is always working well so I can't see any reason to put in the trash, isn't it?

So, with the core and the HVD I can go ahead and order the bigger carts? Right now I'm running 3.7 at 4.2 on the core. Ive had a few more leak issues but the vaseline trick works really well.

Is there a limit as to how long you should keep your oil in a cartridge? I've had some sitting in there for a week without hitting it.

Is the CR 123 3.0v 800 mah batteries used for the HVD Omicron mini? I noticed the light gets a little dim when using the kiss cart so I'm guessing I need new batteries.
If not, can someone recommend good batteries? I've been using the imr 14250 300 mah

I would suggest you get the 14500 battery and tube, that simply is the best possible combination.

Would it be possible to just buy the tube? I already have extra 14500 batteries. My bottom cap is the normal omicron one too if that matters.

lockie,
Hello, first time poster. Long time reader. I am looking to find a vape pen for oils. I opted for the pax as my first portable vape and never really fell in love with it as I imagined I would. I got the pax because I'm not in a legal state and flowers are the easiest to procure but oils are becoming more and more common in my state and are my preferred method of consuming.
I've been researching the omicron, atmos raw, trippy stix, etc. So far I am leading toward the omicron v2.5. I was wondering though if there are any cape pens for oils that can be used as an ecig with some sort of adaptor? I've seen a few of the adaptors for the omicron but haven't been able to determine if any of them would prove to be what I was looking for.
After being so dissatisfied with my pax I thought I might ask straitup before making my next purchase instead of reading along with the reviews.

To use the Omicron for ecig duty all you would need is our protank 2 and a omicron. No adapters needed.

Well that's painless. So as a beginner the Omicron Ti series vape with no extra goodies except the protank2 is a good way to go? I like the idea of all the attachments and what not offered but am a bit intimidated as I don't know much about portable vaping

The Omicron kit and the Protank 2 is what you would need for light oil vaping and ejuice duty. But if you decide you want to get into heavy oil and ejuice duty then the Persei (larger model) kit is what you would need because of its capability to handle the Hercules SR74

Maybe an extra set of batteries depending on how much you think you will use it. It's nice to have a spare set so when they are dead you don't have to wait for a charge. Just swap.

Edit I absolutely love my omicron!!
