Mobius Glass

How can they ask people to destroy them they should have let people keep them because of their sub par service . This is crazy anyway because if people hurt themselves smashing their Mobius is liable because it tolds people to break them.

Perhaps they dont want to have shitty products floating around? Just a possibility who knows for sure... maybe its simply to avoid expensive international return air mail?

I agree about the liability part though.
If they really want these out of circulation they should send out some kind of "break bags" for safety's sake, because glass is sharp and not everybody is going to be so competent and pieces can go flying etc.

Yup! If they are so worried about bad pieces ruining their rep, then wtf are they doing allowing those to be laundered? The fix is in and we are getting f'd why they fix the books? I don't understand it but I honestly hope everyone that got screwed over by ALT and Möbius get paid back, not just our FC brethren! What a shame coming from two of the biggest players in the game. It must be hard to balance demand but this should have most certainly been avoided by both companies.

I dono guys...I mean if you don't know how to clean up broken glass you shouldn't be handling any, ever. How hard is it to clean up glass? Especially in a controlled breaking?? I hope you're not doing it in your living room with your kids in the house. I mean really. It is a strange request, yes, but what's the harm? It's a pain in the ass and kind of ridiculous to make the customer dispose of their shit in this way with no sort of compensation other than a replacement, that I totally agree with, but lets not get hung up over breaking glass and then sweeping it up and putting in the garbage. It's not chemical waste that you have to dispose of.

If they don't want them in circulation then they should have broke it themselves before it ever left the building. How could you miss something that obvious in a qc and it's not like it happened just once. They dam well know they are sending out flawed pieces.

Got a reply...

Thank you for making the video. We have watched and would appreciate if you could remove it from YouTube.

We will be shipping your piece along with a tshirt and some stickers for the hassle on Tuesday.

We are sorry for the all the inconveniences with this order.

Kind Regards

So the youtube vid will be coming down soon.

But that's a good outcome in my book and I am more than satisfied with it.

Let's just hope the replacement isn't wonky too!

What a fiasco but persistence was the key here...

Thanks for all the help guys :D

Quick put it up in instagram! ...maybe after you get the new glass.

Damn, I missed it... The video is down already.:disgust:
That's exactly how I felt this morning. I probably clicked that play button 10times before the realization clicked in. How about one more encore presentation with the viewing time listed a couple hours prior letting us know it'll be showing for 1hr at this time then it will be gone?

I agree with the concept that they don't want flawed pieces in circulation but that in itself is a bit contradictory (at this point anyway with the other cases coming to light), they obviously made a decision to sell the flawed pieces...I mean just imagine how many flawed pieces are out there now, THAT many can't be just "Oops that one slipped by QC our bad!".

For all those that missed it. I will put it up again for another few hours :)

Thanks for the vid, I did miss it too

I'm sorry but seeing it renforced the feeling I had beforehand, what a shame, plainly SAD to see the fate of that poor little bubler (no offence to you GSH)

I mean when I think of how more purposely this could have gone, perhaps could have found a home, some cancer centre cannabis relief pain or something, would you imagine their faces, although no one would have known the hipe behind the brand but still...pity

Yep it's a crying shame really, but I had to do it...

Does seem like ALT and Mobius should be more upfront about the quality if their pieces as well!
