I made my order through Paypal, but just realized it has my PO Box for a shipping address. Can anyone confirm or deny that this is okay?

I currently only have a Solo and I'm considering an EVO. Can I use the cheap bubblers we've been using with our Solos (D020, etc.) w/ the EVO? I already have two pieces of glass and a GONG so I'm wondering if that will save me from having to buy a WT for the EVO since they are expensive.

Thanks!

The EVO has an 18 mm male connector. You may need a Gong adaptor if the Do2o is 14 mm. You can supply your own glass.

I use an EVO with most of these pieces, esp recently with the D020 and the D020-W. Sometimes an adapter is needed and otherwise its helpful to get the mass of the EVO away from your face.

I don't own the evo, but I own a Cloud+ and a D020 and I never use them both cause the evo needs a bigger bubbler if you want to be able to take big hits

The D020 is better for oil pen vapes, nano, xp, HA but for the big hitter vapes (my Cloud+ and my MV) I prefer my big weedstars bubblers able to refresh a bigger amount of vapor

I use my D020 with my Evo all the time. It works great. I wish it had a bigger can but it works really good with the Evo.

Can the nail attachment work with with kief or bubble or is it specificially meant for oil/wax/shatter?

[Although strangely it asked me if I wanted to create an account, which of course I already have.]

Props to t-dub for the xnail pics. As always, fast on the draw, er, with the posts (SM just gave us the green light to share a couple days ago).

Very positive feedback from the testing crew.

VXNail in transit.

Is there anything you can do about shipping costs to Canada???

$25 for the nail
$25 for shipping!!!
Must be a cheaper option?

The solution here and other north-border shipments is probably a Canadian distributor. Likely on SM's todo list.

On a separate note, my EVO continues to perform flawlessly. With friends now coming regularly for "Friday EVO night", I've reserved my LE for my own use and let them have at it with my Std unit. That way they can play with their own settings and loading and tubes without disturbing my personal setup (or risking my Double-Swagger). So call me selfish, but nothing comes between me and my LE. :D

Vapes on vapes on vapes!
Trigger pulled on two VXNails. I just recently learned I can get some concentrates in my area so I will have to start experimenting with them. I know nothing about them so I will have a lot of reading to do!

I'm thinking my evo still isn't working properly. I can get much thicker clouds that milk glass with the enano over the evo. The herb is not the issue which makes me think it's the evo. It has had a firmware update but I'm feeling like it needs to be sent in again. I've duplicated vape n stone's kief video many times never getting that close to his results. I'm going to email the support crew and see what they say

I feel like my firmware update went well. There are noticeable differences in the way mine behaves. I need it at like noon to get vapor, although to be honest I haven't experimented with it below noon much. This is a big improvement from needing it at 2:00 to see vapor. I also don't need to crank it to max to get thick vapor. My biggest difference is my light is much dimmer, but it stays at the "orange" light for significantly less than it did before sending it in. I say orange in quotes because before I sent it in it was orange and would stay there for longer periods of time. Now it is harder to detect the color and it goes green much faster. I like the function of the light much better now.

My EVO seems to be performing much more consistently after sending it in for the firmware upgrade. My ABV is still lighter than it was with my Cloud, but I don't mind it. Also, if I combine multiple ELBs that aren't producing much vapor and combine them and crank the temp I can get darker ABV, but I find that it's not really worth it most times. I am very happy with how it's working I just need to get used to the lighter ABV.

I don't know why but my Cloud+ never produces clouds like my nano with kief and only with kief, with herbs the Cloud is a monster but I think the Nano is able to produce higher t° but hits are less thick than the Cloud cause the Cloud get a big thermal mass (if I understood well everything ), but I thought the Evo had higher t° ability to handle concentrates....

so im not quite sure yet, but i have a very strong feeling that i will have to send my cloud back :(

i dont think its running as hot as it should. i can hit it on max, maybe 3-5 hits before the vapor begins to dissipate and the abv is golden to maybe slightly darker golden at most. it doesn't look much darker than ABV i got with my LSV with the dial turned to 2/2.5.

in terms of vapor talk, it creates slightly more vapor than the LSV but not by much. the 2nd hit off the cloud on max gives the best vapor. but all the times ive hit the cloud, i still have yet to achieve white wall vapor. in fact, visually its no different than the LSV. i can still very much see through the vapor.

what is everyones experience with using the EVO with a glass piece that has:

1. an 18/14mm adapter on it
2. is NOT an intricate perc/fast clear piece like the sovs/toros/goldsteins. the two ive hit the cloud with have very basic downstems; one is a 2 slit + 1 hole ds, and the other has 3 or 4 holes popped in it.

im asking since maybe using the adapter effects how the EVO distribute heats/air flow? seeing as how the adapter is not only reducing/restricting the flow a bit but its also going into percs that can maybe chug or glug more than have that fast sizzle sounding. also it seems like the EVO was designed around the idea of fancy percs that have very fast draws/flow. at the same time, i understand the cooling/heating system of the unit is meant to keep everything all at one temp....also it seems silly that people can MILK peyote pillars and very big tubes with the EVO and i cannot even make one dense wall of milk with a 10" mini tube.

also, i seem to have tapping/cracking sounds upon heat up and when its cooling down.

im gunna keep messing with it throughout the weekend and send it back monday.

I honestly just wanted the Nail to try to use it with herbs for a All Glass uninterrupted airpath. Is there an All Glass Elb for herbs coming? I have no access to concentrates nor the desire to try them really, Keif is fine for me I just want a glass elb. And hey before anyone speaks negatively about my HI-deas, this is pretty much all my mind could conceive to make an already Perfect machine better, the practically impossible!!!! I'm still doing extensive testing on my:bowdown: EVO before writing my official review, Its taking longer than we originally calculated stay tuned for further results :science::brow::cool::lol::nod::clap::tup::rockon::love::wave::lmao::rofl::mental:

First off, the tapping/cracking sounds upon heat up & cooling down are normal, and will lessen/dissipate over the course of being used regularly.

Second, before you send your unit back for inspection, I'd make sure of a few things.
1) make sure your EVO is heat-saturated (ie, has reached 'thermal mass'). In your case, I'd set the temp on or near MAX, let it heat up for at least 15 minutes, and then see how it produces vapor.
2) start your draw very slow (this keeps temps at their warmest). During a slow start, after about 15 seconds, I will often give a sharp inhale, increasing my draw dramatically for the remainder of the pull. This lifts all the flowers to the top of the ELB, increasing restriction. This always creates a dramatic white-wall effect. My friends are always impressed, letting out enthusiastic Whoa!'s. If this technique fails to work for you, I'd contact VXL support and see if they have any suggestions before having you send it in for inspection...

I get HUGE hits with kief using my EVO. Of course, I don't have a Nano for comparison, but I don't see how I could possibly handle more vapor than my EVO produces. And the EVO does have a higher temp. ability to handle concentrates, primarily because the vapexnail is longer than an ELB, lowering the concentrate into the hottest part of the bamboo (this is why you're hearing beta testers say that 'lower temps' are the way to go for concentrates, the bamboo gets REAL hot down there).

I honestly just wanted the Nail to try to use it with herbs for a All Glass uninterrupted airpath. Is there an All Glass Elb for herbs coming?

I don't know if VXL is working on an all-glass ELB anymore (the SS ELB offers so many advantages over glass; mainly durability & affordability) but I do know that there are independents working on it. In fact, one of our fellow beta testers has shown us several prototypes he's made in the course of improving his design. I imagine that once he feels he's got something worth sharing on FC, he'll do that...but I think he'd tell you that it's been a lot harder to develop and make work than he thought it'd be.

I'd like to option the story rights on this. I see a killer party movie in the making...

Thanks FIAV! I will definitely try that. I actually just opened a support ticket, but more or less just to start some communication with the VapeX team. I pretty much stated the same thing as my last post. I made it clear that i was not sure if it is user-error or not, and asked for their thoughts.

@Fame Is A Vapor, after 15 minutes of heating at max, should i hit it from that point, or dial back down?

Yikes! "FIAP" is a little too close to FAP. Don't know how you hit the P instead of the V, but all is forgiven...

Maybe dial it down to 3 if you've never hit the EVO at 3 after it's had 20+ minutes to build thermal mass (I always avoid combustion when possible. It isn't fun to clean/ it ruins the taste of the GonG/HT). That said, the worst that can happen is combustion and a little cleaning, and at least you'll find out what the MAX capabilities are...

YIKES indeed. So sorry! not sure how that happened either... :ugh::doh::hmm:

Thanks for the advice again. Im about to try right now!

*EDIT*

So I just hit my evo twice on max, after it had been heating for 15 mins on max. the 15 minutes were timed from the moment the light switched to green. the elb was filled 1/4 way. i had to remind myself to start off slow, which makes me think i could have started out the other tries too fast. i got decent vapor, still not quite white wall. the way i started out could be a factor here. i did start off slow for the 2nd hit, but there was less vapor since there was less to extract. i did get darker vapor though, noticeably darker. more scattered than uniform throughout but there's some definite brown in there. i'm going to have to try this method a few more times before i make further judgement.

*EDIT 2*

Question for you all, when you turn the unit off, do you flip the switch? or do you turn the dial to 0 first, wait for it to go green, and then switch off?
