Guide Me To My Vape!

Hey everyone! I have been lurking for almost a week and I am still racking my brain on what vape I want to get. I know there are a lot of threads like this but there are so many options so I hope a little background well help you help me:

-Haven't been blazing for too long (late bloomer).
-Currently just use a bowl and not a fan of heavy smoke in my already low capacity lungs.
-The hubby is not a huge fan of the smell of bud being smoked and I certainly want to minimize it so it doesn't linger on clothes/furniture
-I would love to keep smoking for medicinal benefits.
-Looking for convection since that seems to be smoother than conduction
-I would prefer portable and must be stealthy.

Hope this helps everyone to help me. Thank You :)

I have a fairly good idea where this one is going to end up, but...

Nevertheless, FC is going to need a price range that you're looking to spend here...

-I would love to keep smoking for medicinal benefits.

Also need an explanation of this. "Smoking"? Eww. :nope:

Plus, this belongs in Ask FC.

Plus, I just made a fucking double post. So... just ignore me, because I am, quite simply, one big and pathetic pile of :shit:

Modnote: Please report posts using the "Report" link at the bottom of each post to report posts that belong in other threads. Thread moved to Ask FC. @EveryDayAmnesiac I fixed that double post for ya. ;)

Check out the Solo thread!

A portable, heavy hitter, built like a tank, taste is incredible, interfaces with glass...... and as a bonus if you don't end up a Vaper, it's hella-popular... so wouldn't be tough to offload... ;)

Oops! Definitely didn't catch the Ask FC area. Sorry mods, slap me and move me!

Price- I would love to stay under $200 but from research it looks near impossible.

I have read up on the Solo and though all of that seems in my bucket, I just can't get over the look of it. Too "girthy" looking ;)

Pinnacle Pro has sort of peaked my interest. I just really wish I could find a pen style vape that is convection and is dry herb, not oil or wax. I don't have access to those two things and have no desire to blow myself or my cats and hubby up to make them! Am I being to picky focusing on convection only? I want smoothness, nothing harsh.

@everydayamnesiac

By "smoking" I meant packing a bowl. I want to switch to vape to get away from the smoke part of it.

Lotus or VaporGenie maybe?
I must say though that if you set up a perfect mouthpiece/pong for it, the pinnacle pro is fantastic

I definitely recommend you taking part of the Inhalater 005 as it will be coming out very soon. With the new glass stem (although a little expensive, $30) it will probably taste better and it can last you through the whole day if you aren't a frequent toker (assuming you have less seshs to get the job done.) You should think about budget first but obviously if money isn't an issue you should really invest in an EVO or an Herbalizer. You want taste coming into the vape game. It also comes down to preference. Each vaporizer has a signature that most could agree on but really it has to do with what you want to experience and how you want to feel. For me, the Sublimator has proven to be an excellent vaporizer but lacks safety and the affordability isn't there in the price tag. Also, with a bunch of CNC machines coming out lately, I wouldn't be so surprised to see self-made Subs in a few years from now seeing it more as a modular type vaporizer that requires a glass piece with a strong base go prevent tilting/off-balance.

^^ The man is right!!!! Stay away from the PNP. Disappointment after disappointment will be had, especially if you are a high heat vapist/already have a high tolerance!

I sold my PNP and picked up an E-Nano. Please do consider the Hammer with the 4/20 discount still on for 2 days. It is a butane powered vape which from my reading seems to deliver better results with flowers than anything but the solo. It is also much cheaper and much more portable than the Solo. It will cost you $70 plus postage or so. Incredible deal! I believe the site is www.thehammervaporizer.com and the discount code is Hammer420 .

If you are going for a battery powered portable, the solo is your the only solid option IME.

Desktops are the best, people all swear by them for a reason. The Nano is the best bang for buck to be found in desktop units IMHO. The manufacturer is the best, hands down. He gave me a free upgrade when I first ordered my Nano to an exotic wood unit. He sent me a free replacement dimmer/cord assembly when I negligently damaged the Nano by running it on 240v instead of 120v. He threw in a free GonG last time I ordered too!

If you really need a pen style/sized unit and want something durable (but remember the flower attachment isn't all that portable, this does oils very well portably though!), consider the Persei. It is a bit pricier than a lot of other vapes, but it gets great reviews around here and the manufacturer provides very good service!

Hope this is helpful.

EDIT: I know you said oils are difficult to come by where you are, they are for me too! You can make QWISO/QWET concentrates yourself quite easily without blowing anything up so long as you follow some basic, common sense precautions. I am thinking of providing an instructional thread in the concentrates section about my QWISO preparations. As I say, I too live in a place where you really can't buy concentrates. But I always have concentrates around. Use your AVB to make it - life is too short not to get high off your stash twice! :D

Have you ever seen one in person? From your post it seems as though you're going off of pictures?

Also (IMO), dismissing something that performs this well simply based on aesthetics alone is a huge mistake.

Anyway, like the person above my vote is for Solo if you want portability or an E Nano if you can handle having to plug it in.

What kind of stealth are we looking for, is this public usage stealth, are you able to find a minute of alone time, or do we just want a vague vaporizer. I know its been mentioned above, but I really recommend a Hammer, for 70 its a steal and for 120 its still a deal.

@Caligula I too must confess I had taken the view that the solo is pretty huge. I thought it was close to twice the height of the E-Nano and a little bit wider around? Am I wrong? I can see from the design that the Solo would clearly be a superior portable vape to other portable vapes. This is obvious just from the kind of components it uses and the size of the unit as well as the glass airpath.

The appearance of the Solo looks like a crude electronic item one might have designed themselves and the glass just screams 'I AM DOING SOMETHING ILLEGAL!'. I appreciate that the design is likely extremely rugged and great in every aspect but appearance and perhaps battery life (I don't know what battery life is like on the Solo, but battery powered portables seem to all have this issue just now).

Please tell me I am wrong. If so, I will be buying a Solo in the not too distant future!

Hands down the Solo is the easiest to use, tastiest and best value for money of the portables IMO. It's the one I grab every morning when I leave for work. I pack two shorty stems. One for each (2hr) journey to and from work.

It fits perfectly in my RYOT PackRatz pouch with the two stems.

My PNP has been gifted to a friend as I just didn't get any decent vapor or taste from it.

Get a Solo, you won't regret it...

I don't think the Solo is that big, its smaller than a Firefly and the height of an extended PAX. Battery life, like GSH mentioned subtly is good and gets better.

I also think it looks nice, and I guess I'm a fan of those fancy glass straw designs.

And the e-nano is tiny but not that tiny, stealing al's picture;

Oh! I was very wrong about the size! To be honest, the Nano looks way bigger than it is in photos too!

Well then, I think I know what I'm getting in the near future! What is battery life like?? Please do your best to estimate what someone who can easily go through an ounce of flowers a week would get in battery life btw lol :)

Thanks!!!!

Try the indica thing rocks. It's discreet, sleek very easy to use and maintain, packs a punch comparable to solo imo. The company is awesome, first vape I haven't complained about yet :o or the mflb is always a good cheap start with little to no odor.

Every thread everyone says solo.

The solo is a great choice, perfect for beginners or experienced vaporists. Several people have asked about the battery life and it wins over almost every other portable hands down. You can easily get eight 12 minute sessions on a single charge and could probably get several more past when the battery reads dead but over time that will damage the overall battery life.

Sure is but indica is a fair contender and is actually possible to carry around. I could never see myself lugging a solo around. But yes very solid device, just hate seeing it always get the spotlight when there are so many other vapes on the market

I'd like something that I can walk down the street and hit without drawing some sort of suspicion or take a hit or two at a sports game. I just don't think the hammer is going to give me that.

I would consider pax if you want to hit in front of anyone. Indica can be done but it raises a few eyebrows. Mflb can be done as well because it fits in the palm of your hand. Davinci ascent can also be pulled out in public with little to no suspicion. I wouldn't trust other portables in wide open. Now if your sneaking away for a toke you open alot more doors

I can agree with that, I would recommend the Indica if it came in black. I like my T-Vape for public usage, but its got a pretty short battery life. The MFLB would probably be the most convenient and less expensive.

If I was going for public stealth, I'd get an Inhalater personally- My PnP does cut it really well though, everyone thinks it's an e-cig

My Original DaVinci has never let me down, good battery life, small size(about the size of a pack of cigarettes), fair taste,Can use while charging. I still like it a lot.
