BT-01 Final Version.

After a bit more mucking about in Sketchup and a few plugins later I have come up with the final version of my Shroud.

This is the 3D File

I have smoothed off all the top corners and round off the insides, it also fits a bit better now as well.

This is how it looks in grey

And this is it doing it's thing

I have ordered some Black filament which should arrive in a couple of days and I have looked up UK postage which is £2.80 for a 2nd class small parcel (cheapest option available)

Total cost for one of these things delivered in the UK is £4 (at this price I make about 60p on each one I sell)

US cost will be the same; postage + 60p.

@Burnttoast22 If you plan on selling any of these on FC, please contact @vtac to register as an accessory maker before doing so. Sharing open-source files is perfectly ok, but if money changes hands you will need to get approval from vtac first.

Thanks.

Blimey, I wouldn't go so far as to call myself an accessory maker all I did was knock the object up in Sketchup and then printed it. I'm not really making a profit as that 60p covers printing time, filament, design time and postal materials.

I envision that I'll probably sell about ten or so but if I need to do so I shall :)

Hi, I've learned a lot here.
But my Pinnacle Pro is out of order and I can't find any description like that.
I've been using it twice a week for three months, gradually it had taken more and more time to heat for the last two months, in battery mode. Seemed to be a battery issue.
This last weekend, during heating time, it started to blink all leds in red and auto shut off, even with full battery charge.
Most strange thing, this also happens when AC plugged.
So, I can not use the machine.
I turn it on, and in a matter of seconds it auto shuts off.
A mess, sad, short life of my Pinnacle Pro?
Please, someone have a clue?
Bought from Yoyokid Ebay.

Howdy folks! I got some time in on the Proto2 I built for my wife’s new truck today, but I may give her Proto1 instead. The contest prize will be VERY similar to what I have been showing here. However, we need some entries else there might not be a reason for me to build another Proto2 car charger… (3-Likes and 0-entries => Not A Good Sign!)

Since the Linear Tech Demo PCB doesn’t have typical PCB edge mounting holes, how did I mount it in the box? I used the power sockets of the board as a mounting means. Using screws and nuts I created two mounting posts on the box lid to rest the PCBA on. These are the GND sockets so no voltage is exposed to the outside cover. The board is then secured with more nuts creating terminal posts for the wires on ring lugs. From here the cables are simply routed to the outside through a small hole in the box wall.

@MileHighLife – Have you tried your Voltagekeeper(s) to power your PNP for long hauls? It looks interesting, especially all the LED gages…

And how is your battery replacement holding?

@Burnttoast22 – Excellent work man! When you get the black, expect me to bug you about a PayPal transfer. Or might I interest you in a Proto2 Car Charger in an exchange? That way no money is involved and neither of us get busted on the forum… :whip:

My friends, don’t combust your life away…

It's still working fine but I only use the pnp if I'm out and about with friends who aren't familiar with how to use an mflb so it doesn't move from the vape shelf much. I haven't used the voltage keeper to charge the pnp but I have one on 24/7 for my underdog. Only issue is that the vk comes setup to run between 9 and 14 volts but that can be adjusted on the board or he will do special requests if you want a different voltage range.

That is pretty much exactly what happened to mine. I emailed Vapor Blunt and they replied after a few days ( the delay was due to Easter weekend) I gave them some basic info, and emailed them a copy of my receipt. They got back to me the same day with return info to get a replacement. I also purchased mine thru yoyokid, whos an authorized dealer. Contact Vapor Blunt and you should get taken care of.

I haven't had a reply from @vtac yet so I can't offer them for sale yet but if you'd like to PM me with your interest I can gauge how many I will need to make.

@BarnBoy Yeah if you'd like to do swapsies then the Burnttoast is down with that. I'll send you more than one as your project is probably a bit more costly than mine.

I have had my PnP for 2 months now and I just want to let people who have yet to purchase this vape that the "loose" mouthpiece / adapter is not necessarily a bad thing. Sure it can seem loose at times, but it makes it effortless to change from the mouthpiece to PonG or GonG adapter and start using the WT. When I first received my PnP + WT all I wanted to do was use the WT. After some time I have found that with herb I like to start off at heat setting one for 5-10 draws. Next I turn the heat setting to either two or three. While the device is heating up I fill my WT, stir the herb if I feel like it (not really needed), and then securely fasten the WT. I continue until I reach that familiar taste that is the sad goodbye. I am curious how others have found their handling with the PnP to be. I have vaped laying completely flat and holding the vape practically upside down and have not had a problem with it at all. The battery life is shorter than some other portables that I have used in the past, however as long as you vape the entire bullet each time you turn the device on you will find that the battery life is satisfactory.

I know the BarnBoy said this before, but I still can’t believe how clean E-Juice (0mg nicotine) will get a bullet. Though heat helps the process, you don’t have to vape the stuff to get your bullets clean. The below shows a before and after photo by just swabbing/wetting the bullet with E-Juice, just letting it soak/sit, and then wash with ISO. It seems to leave a film that makes the blow out of ABV into my ABV bin much easier.

Well over 48 hours on Proto2 car charger now. It gets warm compared to Proto1, but that was somewhat expected (3A rated device versus 12A). It doesn’t get hot enough to worry me. It just gets warm as it is in a box, that is then in my arm rest compartment. This only happens during operation, simple charging wasn’t warm or wasn't very noticeable.

Again the How stealth is your PNP or PN OG contest is live and you can’t win unless you enter!

About 4-5 weeks ago I put an alarm into my phone to remind me of the estimated arrival date of @Engineering 's glass lined PonG solution. It just went off. I wonder what's up and am going to send them an email to ask.

Got an email back yesterday just an hour or two after I sent it, said they are not yet available.

Theyoyokid1 said he's going to have glass PonGs in a week!

Nice, I also asked for a new ETA but they did not answer. I hope this means the glass lined @Engineering version?

Hi Very high
OK, so two firsts for me with my Pinnacle today, in a stoned fumble :uhoh: I dropped the water tool, it amazingly bounced off my computer case and onto the soft rug  spilling only a tiny amount her indoors will never notice :ninja: all still works!

The second fuck up only minor, but I appear to have over packed a bullet? the ABV was all gunked up in the bottom of the bullet, took me a while to dig it all out :hmm: one more bullet before bed I think...

Well I've been trying to follow this thread the best I can but its tough, you guys have so many of your own amazing fixes!

ANYWHO... I've loved my PnP since I got it a few weeks ago but now it seems that my pong is definitely seeing some deterioration from heat and a small layer peeled off when I went to swap bullets. I'm preparing to move and not sure if I should send my MP away to exchange it for whatever they will send me or what. BLAH

when i fill a bullet up, i just tap the sides to get the herb to the bottom.
i fill it to the top and just tap the side until its full.
i do not pack down the herb at all.
i get incredible hits on setting #1, then move up to #2.
the flavor and vape quality is amazing, i never go past 2 even with the water tool.
When I'm done, i dump my bullet in my space case grinder so all the herb comes out (i make abv brownies) wait 2 minutes and clean the bullet with the brush.
the bullet still looks brand new.

If the bullets get all plugged up with resin and herb, just torch the bottom screen area with a lighter, use tweezers to hold the bullet with one hand and the lighter with the other. Use the brush provided to lightly brush off. It does a much more efficient job than using the ISO to soak.
