@jimbob As a fellow Aussie, the tortech ones are very good. If you were like me and itching to pick up something retail, find a Jaycar store near you and grab their 250w Isolated stepdown. This thing is designed for medical applications and 24/7 usage, so will be reliable to use with your Nano for many years to come!

Welcome to the Nano family. As a fellow Aussie Nano owner, you are one of the few and the true! :D

Just got my hands on a new strain (may not be new to you lucky Americans/Europeans though) called Gringo. I have never seen so many trichomes on buds, ever. The LA Confidential and Sublime that I have had don't compare to this stuff! Smells fruity and a little piney. Needless to say, the Nano is warming up as I type and 4 gongs are loaded and ready to go! 4/20 came late this year!

Happy toking to each of you! :D

Cheers mate! I will look into tortech I think if the 50 watter previously mentioned will do the job. $60 bux delivered to my door isn't a bad price, just an extra cost and a hassle to lug around if needed.

A bit premature on the celebrations I might add, I haven't even placed an order yet and only just started chatting to Andy privately! 240v are still awhile away so I'm still weighing up everything at the moment. It looks promising though because if this thing is as good as you guys say it is, I'll likely buy a 240v when they come out anyway.

Sounds amazing, all the pretty crystals! Vape up my friend

I can't get a clear enough shot that captures all the trichs on my phone camera, might have a friend over in the next few days who is a professional photographer, if so I will unleash her SLR onto a nug in the name of botany! Wow, even the leaves are covered thick in trichs! I think the leaves on this stuff will get me higher than the buds from the rest of the stuff around these parts!

Just ran a ground nug through the steamroller pipe dry at 5.25 - delicious! About to hit it again at 6 and again through the bubbler at 6.6. So much kief already collected from grinding .75g :D

Just call me Kief Richards! (I play the guitar too!)

@jimbob It was worth it mate, I bought mine from Andy a few months back. Accidentally plugged it into 240v using a travel converter. Killed the dimmer dead. Still, the heater was just fine and works perfectly to this day. Andy replaced the dimmer under warranty, knowing full well that I had negligently damaged the unit myself. This was after he gave me a free upgrade to an exotic Nano instead of the standard one I had ordered and paid for.

This business' ethics are enough for me to want to send them $200, let alone the quality of the product.

As an aside, if you want to get the unit to run 240v, how about we ask @ACE OF VAPE if he can get the 240v version of the same dimmer/cord assembly (which I can confirm does exist) and a 240v heater/globe to suit? I would happily donate some time to source a heater too, I believe some basic physics formulas should be able to determine the wattage we would need in a 240v 1/4 inch ceramic cartridge heater to suit. These are all that need to be replaced to make the Nano run on 240v. I am really vaked and forgive me if anyone feels this is out of line to suggest, but having disassembled and repaired my Nano I know that it will take so little to bring this thing into the 240v realm! :D

Now that is some quality customer service! Something I noticed that has been mentioned multiple times in this thread already.

As for the 240's they are on the way according to the man himself, I inboxed him tonight actually but he did say they were still awhile away.

I'm wondering why they wouldn't be available if it was that easy. I'd be weary of trying a new heating element seeing as you are all so satisfied with your units. I get the feeling he's just flat out busy enough with orders as it is

I'm sure most manufacturers are open to suggestions and improvements on their products for sure. That's what we are here for!

The current heater is incredible. I believe it could be used easily and last with a 240v dimmer/cable. But it would require the user to only use 1-4 or maybe 5 on the dial if they did not want certain combustion/damage to the unit/seriously burning themselves. I have no doubt that Andy is busy, I have noticed so many new Nano owners in this thread recently :)

This is why I am happy to assist in anyway possible in sourcing these parts. I am sure the major hurdle is to determine what kind of 240v heater will work best for this application. There are so many different kinds of 240v heaters around in this size from so many different manufacturers/wholesalers that the mind would boggle. This is why I think some physics will need to be employed to determine what wattage @ 240vAC would most efficiently heat the air space in a Nano's air path. Then Andy would simply need to find someone who sells a heater the same size as the 120v one used now in 240v, at the determined wattage. We know the dimmer is available in 240v and light globes are readily available too!

I will crunch away at the numbers re: heat energy requirements over the next week, I am flat out myself lately. But if I am right and this is the hurdle, I am happy to help! :D

The problem as I've stated before on this thread is not availability, I can order the same heater and dimmers for 240v. One issue is demand. I have to order a minimum of 200 sets of each VS a demand of a handful. The other issue I haven't had time to research is the legal ramifications of selling to other countries, CE certs etc. Maybe that's why so many other manufactures don't/won't sell overseas at all?

That was all shatter. I don't recall what strain though. Id have to look at my YT notes for that. I typically dont mix my herb and concentrate as I find you get ABV taste before the oil is gone. Heat setting for that would be somewhere between 8.5 and 10.

Much appreciated, so when u use the nano upside down - u load the shatter first, then the cotton or is the shatter inside a cotton ball?

Hey everyone, I'm about to order some more accessories for my Enano. I'm currently using an all-glass gong and and all-glass stem and I've heard that the ones with the screens are better for airflow. They're cheaper too which is a bonus. The stems with the pinch have disappeared from the website so should I go for the adjustable gong and stem? Is the general consensus that this is the best? How does the adjustable one compare to the pinch one?

Another thing is that the adjustable stems are only available in 5 packs which, even for me, is far more than I need. ANDY, can you check your stock please and see if you can sell them separately? I'm wondering perhaps if it's a mistake on the website.

Concerning tapering stems and gongs etc, somebody said that this would be preferable to the current design. However, if you left the tapered stem or gong on the heater, and then turned the nano off, wouldn't the glass shrink making it very difficult to separate? Just thought I'd mention that.

I know Andy was away and has been busy lately, but I'm not sure how to proceed after 2 unanswered emails well over a week ago. The reason I'm asking is because this isn't the first time I've encountered communication issues ( or more lack of) and I keep hearing about incredible customer service stories, yet I always end up feeling super frustrated because it seems like I'm always being ignored.

Is PM on the forum suitable to contact Andy? Or should I just wait another week? I just feel certain matters need to be addressed quickly in order to not become even bigger problems.

biohacker - i feel your pain. When I first ordered I must have sent 3 emails to Andy but didn't receive one reply. I also find it very strange when people talk about 'good' customer service.

I think the exotic wave was a one of a kind. He has been putting some exotics on his site but I think the wave and ying yang were both sold before he had them on his site. Its his way of showing off his exotics. I think if you find wood that you like you can send it to him.

(still not sure what is going on with the min. 3 on figured walnut?)

Minimum order amount for Figured Walnut is 3!

That is in a big red box when you go to your cart. I didn't want to make a big deal about it because I don't have cash in hand. But I hope it is fixed by next month. Oh heck by then I will want a different one.

Got my Nano today. Still finding my feet but already getting thick tasty vapour on level 7. Have taken it to 10 and didn't combust.

Really enjoying it so far! It's got me nicely medicated :smug:

I have the top of basket screen about level with the top of the silicon sleeve, and use 0.05g on average. What's everyone's preference with basket screen position? The heat ends up about 3mm away from the load with where I have my screen positioned...

Rubbed some buzz butter (from my Purple Days) into the walnut and it is looking lovely. Really good looking vape :)

Thanks Andy and Nadia at Epicvape for an awesome product. Also, thanks for the extra GonG too, it is much appreciated :D

Cheers everyone
