does anyone have any problems with the heater cover constantly getting loose
have had mine for a couple weeks I needed to take it apart today when I notice my heater cover had some wiggle to it I was able to slide the heater cover down the shim a good amount and now its firm again

but im just wondering will this be a constant problem and how can i avoid this once I took it apart it reminded me of the herb iron vape attachment that thing got so loose eventually it would just slide off the herb iron

ok so I may need an additional shim to the one that came on it I guess il have to contact 7th floor see if I can get one

You can also just bend the current one for a temporary solution. Mine is kinda loose but if I take the shim off and bend the top corners out a little it stays firm for a while.

Hello all
well around 12 days after placing my order i have recieved my LSV (paid£38.43 in customs)
Got in late last night so only had a chance to unpack and check everything is working , looking forward to a sesh tonight after boxing. Looks amazing and loving the glass, made a screen up to stop herb falling onto the HC, i have read a lot of this thread but only up to page 67 at the mo so if you have any tips i may of missed let me know.

NICE lookin' LSV.

Just thought I'd give you my own personal opinion about your setup. I tried putting a screen on top of the herb in the transfer wand to stop the herb from falling onto the screen in the heater cover, but for me, it was much inferior to just using the wand without that screen and using it inverted in that I got much more of a voluminous hit. I guess the reason is because I don't totally fill up the bowl but rather only fill it up a quarter of the way and when using it the way you have it set up, the bud was flying around inside the bowl rather than staying put. Kinda the same thing with what happens when you only partially fill up an Ascent bowl without any spacers.

Thanks lwien, and thanks for the tip, just tried the lsv for the first time, made me cough so I think the temp at around 1 was too much. Turned it down and got much more smoother hits, so vaked right now! Still iratated a little at around the 12 o'clock position.

When using the transfer wand, try puffing on it like you would a cigar (light puffs though) rather than taking a long steady hit. That way, you're taking in air between each puff and it becomes a LOT less harsh.

Waiting for one of these right now, seems like a nice match for my F-bomb.

Read in this thread that for pure hash some people just put a little chunk in and then stirr it when it's hot. Does this not stick to the glass and completely stain it? I guess I could pack the hash in cotton to avoid it staining the glass and sticking to stuff?

lwien's leaning toward inverted hits to "glue" the meds in place, was born from his 1st love the Purple days vape. The log vape had no screen at the heat port, and lwien became quite proficient and accustomed to "inversion of vape implements".;)

edit: something constructive: i have good results with the eqscreen when filling about half the chamber. i draw enough so the material will stick to the top screen in the wand (wand above lsv use) and often stays there after the hit. however i noticed that it works best when the lsv is in upright position (no tilt) and the material is sucked to the top as an equally thick layer. i can tap the mouthpiece onto a soft surface to loosen its contents or slightly better stir between hits. actually i think this is as good as it gets with the lsv and no stirring.

Thanks for all the tips, really looking forward to trying it again, but holy shit this things hits like a truck. Solo is now just a back up, and out and about vape...

When I first starting using my LSV, I had the same issues. I tried quite a few things and posted on them here a few months ago. I had a loose and slightly crooked heater cover. The opening of the heater cover did not sit perfectly in the middle of the cap, it was off by a few millimeters. Thus, the heater element was not in the middle of the heater cover and the cover wiggled like hell. Bothered the shit outta me!

I was able to keep the heater cover snug on the thing by rebending the shim into a slightly more square shape. The four corners contacted the cover enough to make it snug on the shim. But no matter what I did, it was still a bit crooked and would eventually get loose again. I even bought multiple heater covers thinking maybe mine was not perfectly round. It didnt make a difference.

The solution for me was offered by someone else here (cant remember who). First take the heater cover off. Then take some flat washers and slide those down around the shim and to the base of the casing around the heating element. Ideally, the middle hole in the washers should be just big enough to fit snug around the base and the total diameter should be enough that the washer rests on the 3 screws evenly at the bottom. Then you simply stack up enough washers so that your heater cover sits a bit higher, and it should then be held in place by the cap. Mine sits perfectly flush in the cap, doesnt extend beyond it at all, and is perfectly straight and tight. No more wiggle.

The OCD itch I couldn't scratch was finally relieved.

I had some flat washers in my garage that I was able to use for this, so I dont have the exact size of the washers I used. Hope that helps!

Cheers bill, at work at the moment but itching to try this at home later , i will report back, so the air intake hole should be half way on the heat source , i did notice my glass HC was push all the way down and the hole positioned to the right as you look at the front of the LSV.

Be careful that the heater cover isn't touching the outside ring though. I set mine down the other day and heard the heater cover hit the front cap, so I moved the HC further down.

I will usually buy a Vape I've wanted , if I can find it for a good price. The initial price of this vape was a turn off, but I picked it up for $161, and I couldn't be happier I did. I'm not one to fiddle with mods, I like a vape to just work, and IMO, this one does, I get huge, smooth, clean hit after hit, with minimal stirring needed. My Main Vapes are The Herbalizer, Cloud, and Solo. This Vape had earned a permanent place next to all 3 on my table ,and will not be joining the host of other Vapes that didn't make the cut. If you are thinking about getting this vape, do not hesitate, even with the coupon code I used to get a good price I would pay more for this.

Thanks corpse , away on business so only using the solo can't wait to get back and try the lsv, before I left I adjusted the hc as it was too low and this made a great improvement (minimal irritation) but the top is very near the end cap , just gotta be careful

Hi there,

I have been reading this forum for years but just created an account today, I guess I was lazy to participate...
My goal in 2014 is to go all vape and quit cigarettes and joints. It is f** hard I must precise: more than a pack a day and about an ounce per week, 8-15 joints/day (mixed tobacco weed joints w/ no filter) for 20 years, I feel like diesel car inside, but I know I am in the right place.

Smoking e-cig is ok, I can handle it I still get my nicotine in it but I always buy a pack to roll joints, or if I have papers i would roll instead of using my vapos (and I start to have a nice collection though). Then if there are cigarettes around it is difficult to stick to e-cig...

I really appreciate vaping but I can't help myself and still smoke joints too. My LSV was taking dust so I decided to buy a WT, I went for this bong from Grace glass:

Been using it for 2 weeks now, the quality is nice, the glass is heavy and look strong. I added some glass diffuser beads too.

Problem is that I have never been a bong user and I really do not feel confortable holding it. Also the hits are really strong like hit on a classic bong with lighter (which I hate) and I feel my stuff get "smoked" really fast (4-5 big hits per bowl, clock 11 till max progressively). Also the experience is great but it is too close to a classic smoking bong hit for me, too quick too strong if I can say, maybe I am too much used to smoking joints. I LOVE the taste of the first and second hit with the LSV but it is too strong.

If I take long steady hits with the beast above it always becomes a huge hit and I cough and sneeze :shrug:
I dont really manage to make milky hit though... maybe my WT is too big?

I also tried warm water, I must say it is not bad!

Question is: would it be better experience with a smaller WT? like a oil bong or a bubbler maybe?

I was thinking of buying a PNWT anyways coz it is cool when on the go, and fits really easily in LSV bag too.

But for home I cannot keep hitting that huge didgeridoo all day long, it is too strong and too fast. would like to make my experience smoother...

Regarding water pipes for the LSV, for me, I've found that a 12" tube with minimum diffusion and very warm water works best.

I'll be honest. I'm at a loss. I've never had someone tell me they were looking too create less potent vapor. I have no idea what kind of advice I can give other than taking smaller hits.

@Deadshort40, I do not express myself properly I guess... Since the bong is tall (to my opinion), I feel that I need to suck much stronger. I would like to take long smooth steady hit like I was doing on MFLB for example.

I have the PNWT with the LSV and it provides very long smooth hits, especially filled with warm water (thanks lwein!!). I highly recommend it if you want something small, not too overwhelming, and fits in the LSV travel bag. Don't get me wrong, the LSV can surely get that PNWT as milky as you want, but due to the small volume of vapor even when filled the PNWT is not like using the LSV on a larger size water pipe. It shouldn't be nearly as hard hitting and you wont feel like you have to suck that strong. It should be as smooth as breathing in normally.

I also have the Lazy Sunny Day bubbler from Black Leaf

It works really well when I want something with a bit more diffusion and really want to blaze!! Since I use the Sunny Day with a cloud ELB, it can really rip and get thick!! Plus its great just combusting with it in bed or laying on the couch. It's difficult to spill the water in it, and if you do, usually less than a half tsp escapes before you can lift it back up.
