SOLO Vaporized Cannabis is my Best Medicine
just ordered my solo (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261448696387)
black 2014 one (or so it says, hope its the latest though)
after my pinnacle pro failing me from smelting itself and the inability to hold atleast a good charge of battery for a couple of sessions i decided to get a solo when i really should have got one in the first place when i was deciding between the 2!

cant wait to be tokeing on this with the car charger does it power on while plugged in the car charger im wondering? my pinnacle pro wouldnt operate but only charge when plugged in the car,

any other worthwhile tips for use? this is a very long thread dont think i could read thru 1000 pages hah
thanks!

Edit: i also have an extreme Q that i hit bags off and love which is another reason i went for the solo hopefully was a good move and i quit combustion for good this time. cant say no to a good rolled jay though unfortunately :(
I also own and EQ and Solo. Never regreted either purchace. They both work extemely well. I have had the EQ for about 3 years. Plan on doing the DDave Mod as soon as I get more money. My old Solo went south mid toke after 11months, so I ended up with the new design on warranty. I like the easier draw with the increased airflow. Your EQ balloon stems can be added to the Solo Stem like this:

And don't throw away your Aroma Therapy Bowl, it does have a use;click the link below. Enjoy your Solo, I know I do.

I just ordered it Friday and i got it today, from Puffitup, so im assuming its the latest model, im not getting into any serial number talk though. Veryyyyy easy to use once i got rid of that beeping!

One question, remove stem after a pull? Or leave it in?

Word! Me and the dog are going on a walk out back with it right now, both stems are flawed but Randy is taking carry of me! Bent stem is cracked and my straight has a small hole going through the bowl. A little extra airflow? Weird ha but im in good hands! Do business with puffitup.

My straight had a very small hole in one out of the four? I think. I only use the edstnt stem so I don't care. The funny thing is I didn't notice at first. I looked at the bent stem and said holly shi* those holes are huge!.. KidFated are you able to get vapor at 4? I can not and I think when I see people using 4 its on the older model maybe? I start at 4 but only for a couple pulls then 5 and 6. I get decent vapor at 5 and tapers off at 6.

I can get visible vapor at 2 with my Solo... old model.

Ok I really think my Solo is nowhere as strong as everyone else here. I will keep using it until it crashes but I look at it now and shrug while using the EQ. My Solo works but I don't get the vapor everyone else gets that I read about or see on videos. I also only get two sessions with it before it goes back on the charger. Each of my sessions would be 3 stems and maybe turn the Solo back on twice after it shuts itself off. So maybe 50-60 minutes of use it is back on the charger on level 2. If that is normal than I just expected too much.

Two sessions of 3 cycles each ending on level 2 would be about 8 total 12 minute runs. You didn't say what heat level, assuming say 3 or 4 that's very normal battery life I think.

No question about it, Solo is limited to remain portable. It only holds a small load and has fairly modest power to heat it with. IMO it does an excellent job at that, an meets well the needs of a very wide spectrum of users, but that doesn't changed it a bit if it doesn't suit your wants.

Good luck in your search, I think your Solo is normal from what you describe.

I have an older model, I can often end at 4 with dark brown ABV. Depending on what is in it I can get decent clouds at 2. I'm not too familiar with the newer models but having to go to 5 or 6 doesn't sound like a good unit.

I am who I am and your approval isn't needed!
You have the latest model?
I have 3 old ones that will never die!
If I get a 4th one my wife is going to think I've lost it!

I know the SOLO is not for everyone however I need simple and easy to medicate.

Same here, but I decided to get a new one from PV during their 420 sale. So, I'll keep my 2- M102's and the new one, and gift my M105 that I always found cooler running but still awesome to a less fortunate disabled friend of mine so he can retire that ole Iolite I gifted him 2 yrs ago ;)

Level 3 is the sweet spot for me (newer model), I get nice clouds. 2 doesn't produce much clouds and 4+ gets too warm for comfort. This is when pulling directly with the stock stems though. When pairing with my bubbler I go up to 4.

I get vapor on two but i wouldn't say clouds. My herb is pretty dry though. I also have an eds stem on the way, but it'll be like 2-3 weeks before that's finished.
Do you have a PHVES?
Or do they not work with the new model?

Ed's stem does have the air slots!

See when someone says something like this I feel mine is not up to par. Nice clouds on 3....not going to happen on mine. It is a newer model M1A4 I think.

I draw very slow and deep...like a doctor is checking my heart beat but like times 2..when I draw too quickly or hard I do not get satisfactory hits (on any temp level). Not sure if that helps.

On both of mine (two-year old M1A3 and a brand-new M1A4 direct from Arizer through Massdrop), I get some vapor at 2, more if I stay at that setting for a few pulls, 3 brings on intense flavor, 4 more vapor, but 5 is where I would consider it starting to be "milk"-type vapor, at the expense of taste after the first pull. 6 and 7 are thicker, but affect the taste during the first pull a bit as well. (Taste preferences will vary from person to person, but this is how >I< perceive it ;)) I can get a "cloud" at any number, but the lower number, the slower the pull has to be as well as much longer pull. I'd rather not fight it, dial it down and go for taste instead of clouds :D

Both units (at about two years diff off the assembly line) seem to be very close in temperature settings. The newer one does heat up a bit faster and has slightly less restriction (as well as having the HEAT+Charge mode on the stock charger). HTH...

That's some tough luck for sure. Re-enforces the reason to buy from a reputable dealer.
The one with the hole is freaky and maybe made on a Friday..?
To get by until your replacement arrives, you might try using a toothpick to jam into the hole and cut flush with the glass. Should get the performance up to par. Also can hold a screen down...bonus.

Yes, i didnt order through ebay or a random site because i wanted to be comfortable with my toy! Puffitup for the win!
And yeah that hole is pretty sloppy, but it hits okay, just extra airflow to go with my vapor ;) I'll try the toothpick trick after work, solo break in 13 minutes!

Edit:why didnt you guys mention the solo earlier? I regret putting this vape off for so long!!!! FLAVOR
