I am having a delightful time with my Okeanos. I previously had been using the upper portion as a micro water tool, and have been getting lots of practice getting it clogged and unclogged. Yesterday I decided to brave up and load the KISS cart with Sour Diesel. It works better than I expected. There is some technique needed, I start keep sucking after I lay off the heat to avoid clogging up. The KISS cart works great when the ceramic is completely soaked so I kept it wet with fresh dabs after every hit. This morning I took it on a road trip with a little gram jar of oil and a dab tool, and it was pretty awkward yet rewarding to use on the road. I am confident enough with it now to take rip after rip without needing to break the Okeanos down for cleaning. Later this afternoon I took it with me on the go, and took a few good rips without reloading. The flavor changes when the ceramic isn't soaking wet, it tastes way more burnt and more harsh. The KISS cart just won't do it for me as an all-day out-and-about device, because reloading on-the-go is so awkward. I have high hopes for my Hercules which arrived a week ago, but I have not tried out because I got the wrong rod. Does anyone know of a free shipping coupon for Delta9? Their $5.65 shipping is pretty harsh for a tiny rod. Vaporwarehouse has free shipping and carries UP gear, but not accessories or small parts like this rod.

Ok, major payday is almost upon me!

@THC SCIENTIFIC, riddle me this: What is the size of the female GonG connection at the top of the Bender heater attachment (without the mouthpiece). Is this a standard 18mm or 14mm GonG?

I am looking to get myself a more discreet custom mouthpiece made out of black worked boro.

Also does the Bender glass (without mouthpiece) stay fixed to the top of the Persei, can it be turned on it's side/upside down?

EDIT: You are seriously going to get some major money from me if I can figure out a way to make this handle flowers well on the go! I am just itching to buy a good $450-$500 worth of your vapes/accessories! :D

What rod do you need? I have a spare 7.4v sr74 rod and two 7.4v sr71 rods. If you have a 3.7 rod maybe we can make a trade? Heh. Pm me if I can help.

Hey there folks, had to make an account on my recent hercules/persei purchase. So I received the package, and put the charger on the wall. It turns red, and not green, without the batteries. When I put the first battery in, it stays red. When I put it on the right side it turns solid green. Then if I put both batteries in, it turns green. I tried touching a voltimeter and reading the ohms, and I was reading around 2.3 ohms for one and around 2 for the other. Do I have a faulty charger, cause I've had the battery on over night while I slept and it still didnt turn green. Do I have a faulty charger?

I can answer some of your questions... the Bender is 18mm and uses a base with an O ring to connect to the Persei. It does stay somewhat attahced, but can pop off, mine specifically does not stay on the O ring very well at all, so I added some silicone to secure it... I don't know if the newer ones hold better, I got mine used, maybe G can answer that one. You can see my post about it here: http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/t...bs-and-concentrates.4873/page-816#post-582293

Very nice! This is the sort of thing I wanted to see! Hey can you do me a favour and let me know how long the Persei is completely assembled with the Bender (without anything attached to the 18mm connection) and appropriate battery pack. I am wanting to see if I can make something stealthy and secure to have this work for OTG flowers as well.

Hey does the Bender come with the 1200f hammer top? Can't see it anywhere on the w9 website!

When using a meter to check the voltage do not use the horseshoe setting aka resistance or ohms. Use the setting for voltage marked with V.

This should help you determine what's going on with the batteries.

@herbivore21 ill as we your question later when I get a chance to sit down.

So the nibbler XL x hercules is probably the best way to consume period and I see no real reason to have an oil rig or bong with it.

I mean, I'm going to keep my pieces, but they're not necessary by any measure. it doesn't matter how medicated you're trying to get, the herc + nibbler will get you there without destroying your throat

is it better to put one or two TI coils up in the hercules? This question goes out to those who have tried it and Happy 420 everyone! :)

But should the charger stay red when plugged in?

What I used to do is put the batteries in before I plugged it into the socket, worked every time. But look into the intellicharger i4. It has faster charging (seemingly), does 4 at a time, and is a lot easier to understand how much battery life you have.

By the way HAPPY 420 YALL

@Sleepin in CA i got my NXL working with some air conditioning Orings and it does work great.

now that I have a back-up Herc, should i try setting one up for flowers? Would it work better with the 71 or the 74?

(i have some new ti and ss coils)

@jambandphan03 Super stoked you got it working! Especially for today! As for your question....
I do not use flowers in the hercs. I use one strictly for my NXL, and one for travel. Personally I find the mess left after to be more of a pain in the ass than its worth. Now, if you wanna rig something up with one of those elb's of yours......that might solve the issues I had with mess.

Get creative!

=)

@DaNi_DuB nice bro! Just in time!

Yea, well when I plug both batteries in the light turns green. When I plug only one in the left side it turns red, on the right it turns green for either battery. Do I have a faulty charger? I can't even enjoy this on 420...

@Mystify88 it sounds like a bad battery. Test them and see what voltage they are. One may be too low to charge. Either way you should file a ticket on w9tech.com in the upper right corner.

Sorry yours isn't functioning bro. I have been there and totally sympathize.

Customer service should get you sorted Monday at least.

@Sleepin in CA I understand that but at the same time where is the line drawn? Now people will be complaining that I don't answer in time here. Our cs hours are Monday through Friday, what happens here is something that I do on my available time and in no way dedicated or obligated cs.

I really do understand that FC has helped our product and is part of direct contact with a base of hard core vaporist but it is still a independent forum where I choose to be a part of it and only represents about 5% of our customer base. It is how ever not a factor in the Up Tech formula where we need to make FC a mandatory outlet, meaning customers can still get their units up and running using our CS system.
I really appreciate where you are coming from here Gary. I for one do not expect you to work over the weekend. I am not upset by customer service taking a business day or two to respond to me, so long as when they get in touch, they can help me with what I want to do.

Having run several companies in different industries myself in my younger years (and after my experience with the PNP!); I will not settle for anything but the best personal customer service from someone who knows their product thoroughly and is reachable either through FC, email or phone.

These are expensive devices! When I make an investment, I want to know that I have the support of capable people at my disposal if something goes wrong.

I fully understand though that this kind of service can't always be offered instantly. For what my 2 cents are worth, I have been very happy with Gary's service thus far (granted my interactions with him have been on FC) and I don't even own any of his products yet. :D

The Bender uses 18mm female GonG joint.

As for turning the bender upside down on the Persei i would not do it. As for the purchasing the Bender thinking its going to be pocket friendly then it is a wrong choice. The Bender has a learning curve and you would need to practice with it. But one things for sure you would run about 1.5 grams between charges when using AW IMR 18350 batteries.

@druminfected majority of the people use a single coil.
