Thanks for that Gunky, Abysmal, Vito and Dave. You made my day. I have been real busy getting in my community service time at the local Humane Society and spaced out coming back to FC for several days. Time flies when you are having fun!
Yes, they were surely thieves in so many ways but as I have always said "when you steal, you steal from yourself". That really rings true for the ISP in our case. Of course for them to steal, they have to jump through so many hoops first and throughout the process to insure there thievery is "legitimate". Get a warrant(lie in the process), plan and plan and rehearse for the 'big day', all costing many dollars and taking them away from the real bad guys. Then, once the deed is done they have to carefully document every movement of the stolen items. Our computers had tags with several dated entries on each one for who got them and when with signatures of all the official LEOs. All they got to see was a lot of nice pictures of Zaps made over the years. All my mail and business and shipping was off in clouds here and there and I had changed passwords the day after the invasion. I don't know if that limited them in their "discovery" or not but it surely did not help them. Whatever, the final chapter is what counts in this part of the story and that chapter says "everything dismissed WITH prejudice", meaning they cannot come back after me for making Zaps. They got a conviction in criminal court for me possessing over 3 oz of marijuana and that was it. Not a day in jail, a puny few dollars for their testing my contraband and not a penny in the civil case. So they got hurt IMO. We heard from Mikes wife that the LEO in charge of their bust(same time but at Mikes house) was getting very pissed every time he checked in with Central at our house and heard they found nothing, nothing, nothing. The informant had lied big time which happens often in the WOD.
For what it is worth, that informant is now...............experiencing big time disappointments in her life. That is all I will say for now. We have let that one go but do enjoy observing how life treats the liars and the people that hurt out there.
I'll close with what I started with...."when you steal, you steal from yourself" and add a couple more. "When you lie, you lie to yourself" and "when you hurt, you hurt yourself"
You get what you give. Thanks again all for the comfort you give us still, after all these months, here on FC.
BTW, the real final chapter is yet to come. I do plan on filing a FOIA request to find out how much money was spent on us by the government because a very selfish woman lied to police. Then I will do some writing about the very interesting life and times of big bad Zapman.

I so wish I could get my hands on a RockZap. It's the one US made log missing from my collection.

It would be interesting to see how much was spent. That's the worst part, all that time and money that could've been used for actual criminals! Stay up Rick. You're an inspiration for sure.

So glad this chapter is almost over Rick. Now you can finally wake up in the morning, go outside and take a deep breath of that mountain air, look around you.... and say to yourself, "this is MINE!"

Y'all want some Zap Porn eh? Thanks to the return of my Laptop and main PC from the Idaho State Police a week ago, I have some good memories to share. Pictures from Zapville long ago are still legal. I'll have more as time goes on along with some local updates.

Today the word is "TRAPPED". Our creek has turned into a river with extensive flooding in the area. That river has found 1/8th a mile of our road as the path of least resistance and the road is now impassable, even with our 4 wheel drive. Hopefully we can get the cat out in the next few days to make it good again.

Edit: Here is a shot of our road leaving both houses at 3PM. We are trapped as even the 4x4s will not get past this mess. Luckily Mike got his car out to safe ground early this morning. It is even worse further down the road.

In the meantime, enjoy.

Is it me or does #4 look like a mean looking space octopus giving me the stink eye?
#3 looks like a giant bridzilla with a troll face for a belly and sagging low down below...
#2 has some sort of yellow parrot head looking at me
#1 looks to me like a bear/wolf howling at the moon, so howling wolf seems like a fitting name to me.
Man I'm heavily medicated from a new herbie, but I dont believe I'm hallucinating, hoping it's just because its beautiful wood.
@Rick you rock! I'm so happy for this chapter is drawing to a close. I've followed along with your story since the incident and before. I'm a young pup compared to you, but feel I'm hitting a good stride out of my childish ways, with that I'm learning that even when shit doesn't go my way, or life throws extended periods of stress at me, that I can always take some light from the situation. Whether it be learning a few things about myself and growing off it, or learning about parts of "how the world works" that I was unsure of before. Sometimes you don't learn, and pre known facts are just solidified, like the fact that big G is truly inept when it comes to the allotment of our tax dollars. Sometimes it's a collage of all three. So I just try and take the experience and let it prepare me for the next day, which I'm better, stronger, and more ready for. Sorry, I'm rambling here.
I've always loved the family atmosphere of most the "woody" threads and felt the read was a nice escape.
If I'm ever rich, it would be sweet to order some handrail posts and spindles from Zapville for a cabin in the woods.
Be safe Rick, the water always goes back down.

Just unlurking after ages just to say I'm VERY glad to hear that your story is turning out alright enough, Rick. I may not post a lot or be much of a community member, but I certainly have enjoyed my dealings with you, your product and this is one of the threads I go out of my way to read when I delurk. If business starts up again, I'd be more than happy to be a repeat customer.

Your work looks amazing @Rick. Your story is a hard one to read, I can't stand when shit like this happens to such obviously good people. I really wish I had known about your work and log vapes in general when you were still able to produce your Zaps.

And @momofthegoons I am envious of your log collection, I'd have a hard time deciding which to use but I'd love the options. Too Sweet.

PEACE ALL !

Haven't been on the forum for quite awhile but noticed some new posts on this thread. Great to hear all the positive news, Rick! It's been what seems like a long, drawn out process that was never necessary in the first place but I'm glad this will all soon be in the past. Now, to continue moving forward.

And once again, thank you for the excellent product and I wish you good luck in any future plans.

Wow...haven't been here in a few years...Sad to read what is happening. Hope everything works out Rick!

Anyhow here are my Myrtlezaps I bought in 2010ish. Still working and everything is tight and there is no cracking. I wish I remembered the wood each was made from.

Those pieces are stunning.
The original Zaps are my favorites.
I wish I could venture a stab at the wood types, but those are so well kept, polished, and aged that it is sure difficult for me to tell.
The Universe has unfolded as it should, and if you read the threads recent events, Rick and family are
in "a good place".
Welcome back Screwdriver!

So I was playing around.....tested them after two years of zero use. I retired them after I read about the cracking etc. in 2012. It seems the light one has a very slight dull rattle. The dark one is solid as a rock. Any idea the value? I might want them to go to a good home.

I know i've seen this covered in the past, but wanted recent info.

Looking for a few replacement stems for CRZ.

The nylon were good for me mostly because of the Stainless Steel were easy to keep clean (vs. brass).

So I'm looking for some stainless tipped stems, unless something like glass is available (dont need any waterpipe adapters/etc., just simple stem), anyone help?
Thanks

Check out the nylon stems for the UD. For sure fits. An inch or two longer but same SS tip as the CRZ. If I'm not mistaken, @underdog might even be using the same source @Rick used. The glass stems won't fit (IIRC) due to diameter of the heat port.

1 for $10 or 3 for $25.

Hey everyone! Just wondering if there is anywhere I can order a replacement cable for my VVPS? My cable that goes from the VVPS to the CRZ kind of broke where the copper wires join into the plug or whatever so it no longer works at running it at 12V stock is a bit too cool for me. Thanks!

Time for a check in. Grand old times here on this thread. We stay away for long periods as a way to cope with the new life. All things Zap related are gone for now as are all things MJ related. We are both still "clean and sober" as they say in the treatment world. I have long been done with any counseling......"We need to spend time with folks that need us Rick.....sorry but good by". My community service is down to 50 hours to go from a start of 250 hours. Very nice to be on the last stretch as once I am done, I have fulfilled all court requirements so may possibly get off supervised probation before long. I am still a bit confused on that one as I have not seen or talked with my PO since January. She cancelled on a Feb appointment and has not set up another meeting date. We are continuing to learn a lot about the system in that it appears when you do things right, they ignore you. They seem to thrive on screw-ups as that is when they get to do their thing which is power over you. Whatever, we are happy with our progress through the system which will be over before long.

We did get some very sad news a couple weeks ago. Sad and unexpected and a very clear reminder about fickle life and how important it is to live life every day to the fullest, always telling and showing loved ones how much you love them because you never know how long it will last. Our lawyer who we have known since 1980 died in a snorkeling accident off the coast of Mexico. He was the finest of men and our relationship was very close, much more like friends than lawyer/client. We thought he would live forever, certainly out-live us. Strong calm Jeff Child is gone. We cannot imagine having another lawyer for any reason. Our meeting and knowing him was a gift from The Universe for which we will always and forever be thankful. Luckily for us, both the criminal and civil cases against us have been fully adjudicated. I will need to go back to the judge in a year or so for the dismissal of all criminal charges allowed by the withheld judgement I received at sentencing but that should be a simple matter. The civil case was dismissed at the request of the Idaho State prosecutor in January 2014 as we have mentioned earlier on this thread. Here is a link to his obituary if anyone is interested. http://www.cdapress.com/obituaries/article_0a336664-c408-11e3-9ffd-0019bb2963f4.html

The Zaps shown above by Screwdriver are both Myrtlewood is my guess. I went through a period of doing all Myrtlewood for quite awhile which is why we called them MyrtleZaps. I had an excellent wood supplier from the Oregon coast at the time. Some of the wood was very dark and resembled Walnut.

The above references to Dave at Underdog for stems, replacement VVPS cords, etc is good as far as I know. Dave may also be hooking to our Aromazap URL in the future for a continuing supply of Zap stems and accessories. I have kept the URL 'alive' even though the website closed July 25th 2012 because the Idaho State Police closed us down forever.

Thanks again for all the comments and pics everyone. It is fun to come back here for updates and news. Now though, our primary focus is on Howling Hills Organic Farm. We had our annual meeting with the chefs Friday and are full steam ahead supplying the Coeur d'Alene Resort(http://cdaresort.com/)and affiliated restaurants with seasonal produce and edible flowers for the next 4-5 months. This will be our 8th year selling exclusively to them and their commitment to us grows every year. We are a very lucky Rick and Pat.
