Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud EVO

Just want to report on a positive experience with VapeX customer service. When I opened a ticket Brianne was very helpful and courteous. I sent my Evo in last Thursday to repair a broken bamboo and it just arrived it back today (the following Friday) good as new.

I thought I would be looking at a least a couple of weeks with shipping and all but I was without my only desktop vape for just 8 days. I couldn't be more satisfied with the manner and speed with which my issue was resolved.

Cloudy...
TGIF! Two announcements for this lovely Friday.

International Customers, we have hired an additional engineering firm to help us resolve the 220V issue. Because of the length of time it has taken, we are going to send ALL of you guys 110V units (just keep your existing 220 whether it works or not), a 300 watt 110-220 converter, 1 EVO heat shield (3.2 mm neoprene that International customers will get FIRST), AND (that's not all) $50 in store credit (ELBs, VapeXNails, credit towards a HydraTube). When the 220s are out, you can keep using your 110V with power converter OR you can send it back to your local partner of VapeXhale and they can exchange your 110 for a 220. Feel free to email support@vapexhale.com if you have any more questions.

4/20 announcement - We will be in Denver in the Swagger Glass booth and if any of you guys are in the San Francisco Bay Area, I will be at one of SF's premier dispensaries, Igzactly420 on Sunday from 12-5pm. Come visit us and try the new VapeXNail!

Man the VXN is working sooooooo good http://instagram.com/p/m7-AhrFSxy/

Seriously?????!?!?!?! Guys you're amazing, I can't believe what I have just read....

When will you start sending that awesome packages to international users?:clap::clap:

Just pulled the trigger on trading in for the new EVO. I am incredibly stoked to try out the new VXN. I have been dying for way to vaporize essentials without the harshness of the quartz or the titanium. Thanks Seibo! I am gonna try to make it on 4/20 to Igzactly because I would love to talk to you and try out the EVO and vxn before I get em. Can't wait to give this thing a review with my lungs.

@stonemonkey55 My confidence in VXL has been restored :rockon::rockon:
You've really managed to fix the heartbreak and bad impression with this single post, amazing, keep up!!!
Do we have to open a ticket even if we don't have any questions or will it be sent automatically?

I think it should also be posted officialy on the IGG page. IMO a lot of intl contributors won't find this message here.
I think some of them are not even FC members.

The heat shield sounds nice. I guess a thick neoprene is going to be a lot better insulator than a double silicone wristband. My EVO only gets too hot to hold on the top when it's been running on very high temps for at lest 30 mins (I ahve a double-layer of wristbands).
I can finish a pair of sessions before the top begins to get warm.
Also for the taste I like vaping at 1 hrs dial, where the top also doesn't get really hot.

So I believe this new shiled could make it holdable on top even after the most extreme heat soaks.

As I remember, there has been something called a "Cloud Sleeve" or like that for the old model.
And I remeber the main issue with that - it was ugly as fuck and it was glued to the shield makign it difficult to get it off.

Wristbands actually look really good on these vapes and also can make a nice grip so you can hold them more comfortably.
The question is: Is this new neoprene shield going to look good? Or even better than wristbands?
Is it going to carry some more functionality? For example having a texture on it for a better grip?

I know some people have gotten a little upset/grumpy during this whole process, me included, but that is all more than forgotten now. I'm extremely happy to hear this resolution.
As for the EVO, I do also have the red light issue (have had the blinking red light twice as well). It seemed to be the worst the first two days I used it, and now I haven't had an issue the past 15 cycles or so. I still have to watch it carefully though.
The EVO has changed vaping for me. It is like a whole new experience. I can milk my swagger puck or bong in seconds. Real good taste. Playing with the dial is really accurate and pretty cool as you are able to notice changes like effect and taste. I haven't had enough time with that though because I've been to tempted to take lung blaster hits. Real great product though besides the errors. Looks real sleek and simple to use.
About the hydra tube, it is beautiful. I remember there was a fuss about the labels a while back, and I don't know if they changed them. Mine looks good though (imo). The water level is a bit finicky. If you fill it to low, its hard to get the turbine to really fire. If you fill it a bit too high, everything will run down into the bottom chamber. I've gotten it to work pretty good many times, but I think it would MAYBE be better if the turbine were just a tad lower. Just a suggestion.
So yeah, its been a wide range of emotions, but overall I'm definitely happy I got in on the IGG.

Exactly my thoughts.
However, I found that if you fill the water in the low level and add 1 drop of rezblock then the turbine compartment is fully used. The bubbles make the water go higher and spin amazingly.

man, i need to make my decision quick if i'll buy the EVO now, or wait till summer. i dont need it per se, but the sale is tempting if i can save $75 (assuming i'll only save $75 if i only get the mouthpiece)...the debating begins

When you receive it you'll be amazed you managed without it... there's no question here :science:

might be the case. every vid i watch makes the cloud/evo seem very promising. i just dont get that volume of vapor out of my LSV. i emailed them asking how much i'd save exactly if i only order the mouthpiece with the evo. hopefully i'll get a response by tomorrow morning. not sure how weekend hours work with them. i might just bite the bullet though...

Wish I could say the same. My brand-new Evo stopped reaching temperatures after one month of fairly light use and I was asked to send it in for a "firmware update". I sent it in on April 3. They've had it for two weeks now and I'm still waiting for word that it's ready to send back.

Brianne has been nice and as helpful as she can. In reply to a recent question of mine on the status of the repair, she answered "We have a 7-14 day policy on returns. We received yours on April 5th. I spoke with our Repair Department and they are hoping to have all repairs done by the end of the week and shipped out early next week."

I'm concerned that it's taking this long. I'm also concerned that it's not a first-come, first-served waiting line as it seems they fixed and returned xvdbio's unit already and that was sent in on April 10. Kinda sucks (for me!)

Sorry, but I can get grumpy when forced to combust. ;-P

Perhaps it's due to the degree of difficulty in the repair. I, too, sent my unit in because of extreme overheating: the housing near the vents started to melt. Vapexhale received it Apr. 8th, and, in a recent email, they hoped to have it fixed and ready to ship the first of the week.

I sent mine in and it should have gotten there on the 4th, but the USPS messed up so it arrived on the 8th. All mine needs is a firmware upgrade, from what I know that is. I still haven't gotten my email saying it's on its way back. They acknowledged that they received it on the 8th and were working on it, but I haven't contacted them in like 5 days I think. I hope it comes back early next week. I knew it would be a hectic time (before the 20th) to send it in. That's why the 4 day USPS delay was brutal. Oh well I can't wait until it returns.

I bought a back-up unit. I hate waits. It comes tomorrow, I think.

Likewise.. I use two at a time sometimes just cuz, well.. I can!

Big ups to SM55 and crew for taking care of our overseas friends. Ive said it before and Ill say it again, VXC is good people and in this business, thats the best compliment you can get. Ive got so many crappy vapes that the manufacturer just bailed on (Majikwand comes to mind), its nice to see the exact opposite for once.

Hey guys, sorry to be a pest. Is there a discount code to enter during checkout for the 4/20 sale? I did a "mock" checkout before but everything added up to a normal amount. Is the discount addrd after an order is completed?

I for one would like SM to provide us some pics of the VXL factory, and not just shots of cluttered counter tops. Seems like a fairly large production given their engineering dept, repair dept, customer service dept, etc.. etc...

:hmm::doh:

I understand the harsh criticism regarding certain issues but how would that benefit anybody? It seems like some are spoiled with vapexhale's presence on these forums. :2c:

When I ordered mine, a live customer fellow had to link me to the correct page as the same thing was happening to me: I've just tried to find it - no luck. Drop them a note.

Hey thanks a lot! I both emailed them and sent SM a PM but neither have responded. Hoping they will soon or else i'll have to skip the sale.

OK disagree with me, I can't force you to be right

If you tried to connect with them and you are still unsuccessful after the sale ends I'm sure if you explain the situation they'll extend the sale offer to you. I had a problem making a purchase during the last Black Friday sale and they took care of me the following week when I explained the situation.
And this is the 420 Holiday so maybe they too are taking a well deserved break...and are unable to respond! :smug:
