What micron screens?

What micron range screens are people using when running BHO, instead of coffee filters. I have some 160micron, are they suitable?

I am who I am and your approval isn't needed!
I prefer two coffee filters, and pre-soaking them just before the blast with ISO. <---- only because I found that the SS screens (50 micron and below) would ice up on me too much. If I re-disolve with ISO or EC to further refine, I'll then use a 25 micron SS screen or 2 micron filter syringe depending how far I want to take it.

........
also note that "400" rated mesh is actually 25 micron. just saying that when u buy mesh the # they use to rate it usually is not the micron rating. google "mesh to micron" chart.

Actually, from what I've seen with the US mesh to micron charts the 400 mesh is actually 37 micron http://journeytoforever.org/biodiesel_mesh.html & 550 mesh is 25 micron http://www.filters-strainers.com/MeshChart.html

I had also heard that accuracy (if one is wanting to go that far), varies from manufacturer to manufacturer as well as filter materials

I am currently using 316T Stainless screen 25 micron for BHO and 20 micron "artisan" screen to filter ISO reclaim. Keep the screen and clamp in the freezer to reduce icing. Also FREEZE your 'tane! I get better results when it is frozen. Reduces pressure. Seems more of a flow than a blast.

This may be obvious but i just ant to be sure before i purchase some filters. Does anyone know if the 4" by 4" filter is will fit nicely on a mason jar that had a diameter of 3"?
