I'm not sure if mine is but it might be!

I set my EVO at 12 and he goes green,
I move it (but accident) to 2pm and it goes red, then I move it back to 12 its red,
I close my EVO and turn it back again when its set on 12, its green.

So...maybe its a glitch? but I don't think my EVO overheats but its works wonder with chamomile :)

Well it was fun while it lasted... Mine was working fine until last night when poof it went from happy green to death melt orange in about a nano second.

Now it when you turn it on it is immediately green and it doesn't appear to be heating. I am sad cause it was an amazing device while it worked

Has anyone heard anything from Vapexhale as to a solution yet? It's about two weeks now since stonemonkey commented on this forum. Given international shipping delays and the fact that they don't even seem to know what is wrong yet (judging from the last update) I'm not expecting a replacement for a month or two. Sigh.

Let the frustration recommence!!

Hi gang
It seems international launch turns into a massive failure. Hope everything sorts out well for all of you. What a mess!
I've been waiting for almost a year to own a Vapexhale product, I don't know if I'll wait few more months until everything is fixed and works properly.

I lost a bit of trust in this company when I see how you international IGGers have been treated as 2nd class customers (IMO).

Good luck everyone

Mine has been working but it's suffering from the same problems that have already been described. Seems any time it goes red you have to be careful that it doesn't stay on red. I've had the orange glow issue once so far, but not seen it for a while. If it weren't for @liscoe though I still wouldn't even be able to use it properly, I haven't received the ELBs from VXL yet, nor the tracking number they said they'd send! Just replied to the support email again, don't want @liscoe to have to wait much longer..

Finally received my package !
Yes everything came in 1 piece but it was quite a miracle. The box indeed was full of cushions but the HT was on the outer side, touching the external box directly...
Customs charged me 50$. Box contents: 220v Evo, Puck, Hydrafoot, 4 wristbands and 2 ELBs.
The Evo's box looks a bit old and used and the Evo's plastic color a bit pale but maybe it's just me. Also when shaking the Evo lightly I hear something moves.

So far the Evo has been working perfectly, I am quite impressed of it. :D
I haven't had the red light issue even once, it's always changing to green and pretty quickly too. My ABV looks dark and sweet and I'm immensely high.

Will keep you guys posted.

Don't worry about me @vapecat - as my Evo is dead as a doornail I won't be needing ELBs any time soon!

And @pittiserria keep a careful eye on yours, I thought I'd avoided the issues that others had and after two weeks of kid gloves left it on (and not watching it intently) for a few minutes and it went into meltdown. So beware!:myday:

As long as I keep an eye contact with the unit and the led is green - do I still need to monitor the bamboo for glowing? As my unit seems to be unaffected of this bug I am not sure what to look out for.

I mean, does overheating occur ONLY when led is red?

For my unit sure so, only overheated when the led was red (in temperature adjusting mode).

Keeping it in line of sight works for me, oh and of course power cycle when you feel it's red too long after a temp change :)

Thanks for the info.
I'm not sure I understand the logic behind the "power cycle just in case", as for me there is a very straight forward method to detect if everything is in order (or perhaps I'm wrong?)

For example, when I first start my Evo and set it to 2PM and the led is red for 20 long seconds and I begin worrying, I simply turn the knob back slowly until the led turns green (meaning the 2PM temperature hasn't been reached) and then quickly turn the knob back to 2PM and keep waiting while my mind is at ease.

Should I change my tactics?

Not at all, if that works for you, great!
Stick to it :)

For my unit I get the feeling that every time I move the knob the chances for the glitch increase.
I could turn back or forth, find the green zone and suddenly have it switch to red in the green zone or trigger the glitch while moving back to desired temp, rendering further green zone searches around the knob spectrum useless until power cycled...

Cause of that and also because I'm just a vakedcow sometimes, I rather power cycle :spliff:

@vakedcow @Seek @vapecat Due to a mismatch between the cable and the local power socket, for me the ground wire is not connected. Just a theory, if your ground is connected try to connect a small adapter that would disconnect it just to see if it resolves the glitch. Would be interesting to find out this is it.

You have to laugh really- here I am six months after I contributed a small fortune to help get Vapexhale off the ground, having also bought the TravelBuddy, an extra HydraTube, the glass mouthpiece and some more ELBs, still without a working Evo (mine died after two weeks occasional use).

I'm now waiting until an online store in my country starts stocking the Evo to get a replacement at which point everyone else in the UK will be able to purchase one anyway. I've nothing to show for being an early supporter of Vapexhale except frustration and a lot less hair...

The free gift to reward us internationals for our long wait and patience never materialised did it? Do we even know what it was supposed to be? The reason I wonder is that I've received a nice email from Vapexhale marketing offering me a free Vapexnail if I buy a HydraTube before the 20/4 which just adds insult to injury. Not only did I contribute $500 back in September (with no free gift as promised by stonemonkey) but I also purchased an extra HydraTube at the end of March for another $250 just missing out on the free Vapexnail!!!!!:bang:

I apologise for moaning but I've just had to get this off my chest- people who order now can spend half as much as me, get a free gift and still be using their device weeks/months before I can...

I understand/sympathise with the issues Vapexhale are having getting the international version of the Evo working but the treatment of their international supporters seems to have moved from thoughtless to contemptuous.

@liscoe I feel every word man, I was exactly in the same position, if you had known how many excuses I told people as to why I haven't received the awesome vape I've been talking about nonstop and I ordered in July! Instead of feeling gratitude for the little faith I had in VXL I do feel a bit kicked in the nuts. I am sure VXL will agree that you have nothing to apologize for moaning. If at all you were too gentle. You paid so much and I can only hope you wouldn't suffice in just receiving a free VXNail for everything you went through.

In my case I received the Evo and I don't have the infamous overheating bug, however I am in constant fear of it dying any moment due to feedback of other people. Although I have a working Evo I am left with an extremely bitter taste from this adventure:

1. Indiegogo campaign promised that if 100K milestone is reached, there will be an additional color at launch. I personally worked hard on introducing people to the project to add contributors so the milestone can be crossed quicker and indeed they reached 143K. Yes I am aware of technical difficulties of the white color but there was no replacement bonus.

2. Indiegogo campaign had no mentioning of different units for international. Requests from intl contributors to get the 110V unit were denied by VXL while they should have complied, forcing intl contributors to wait many more months and in fact become the beta testers of the 220V version.

3. @stonemonkey55 succeeded to put out the flames by promising a special gift for intl-only which was a secret. Turned out it's a Hydrafoot, while many many domestic contributors swore they received one as well. By the time I got this HF there was already HF2.0 and VXNail offered as a gift to people in my country who buy today.

I wrote about these issues before but unfortunately never received any official response.

I'm glad that you agree @pittiserria! I do wish stonemonkey would read this and give us some response although it is unlikely as I don't think he bothers to check this thread any more. He blooming well should as given we are all still 'anticipating' a working Evo this thread is live. Unfortunately it just seems to have turned into a self help group for forgotten international customers (not that that's a bad thing- getting support from my fellow vapeists is all that's keeping me going).

The HydroFoot should not have been/was not the free gift though- I have an email received some months ago from Vapexhale support stating that all Early Bird contributors and above got a HydraFoot as standard (I was inquiring about whether I needed to purchase one). This was months before stonemonkey actually offered us a free gift due to the delays and is probably the reason why some domestic customers received one. Soooo if Vapexhale are now telling us that this is the gift then they are pulling a fast one, not that it particularly surprises me anymore unfortunately.

I've lost faith in Vapexhale I'm afraid- they've really messed up with the international orders but instead of keeping us up to date and making it right they are burying their heads in the sand and hoping that we will go away...

I think the offer is only to the poor intl IGG supporters, but maybe I'm wrong.
It makes more sense that preorders will wait for the new 220V version due to the fact that eventually VXL will have to offer replacement to those 110V units with 220V's.

Well this is an amusing turn of events.
A couple of weeks ago a few friends and I went on a camping trip which ended up with us taking a large amount of psychedelics, I thoroughly enjoyed myself and as always I gained influence from my experience.
Largely, since our return I have almost completely stopped using cannabis and have absolutely no desire to consume it at all. This is both interesting and unexpected but I am not complaining as for some amount of time I have kind of thought I should stop as it really doesn't do me any favours.

So anyhow, the issue remains of what to be done with my Evo's? My friend has called dibs on the 110v one on the way with the converter which leaves my broken one.
This unit was working perfectly, it switched green after about 5 mins and would go green when moving the dial until it reached the proper temp however after 9 hours the bamboo cracked when cooling down. I am unsure whether to get it fixed as it may break later (these units don't seem reliable) or to see if anyone wants a busted one for a variety of reasons.

Ahh, this is funny. I've waited nearly 3 years for this vape and now that I'm solidly getting one I don't even want it. . .
For the 9 hours it worked it was certainly the best vape I'd tried.

I think you might be right but I kinda forced myself to get high for 420 and i really did find it quite disgusting, quite highly regretted it.
Also I have wanted to quit for a couple of years really. . .
