Discontinued Inhalater XP

Judging by the release of the XP and the few months it took to get it fully developed into the unit it is today, and the modifications they have made to it during that time I find it easy to wait at least 6 months from today to see how everything pans out. Especially when they dont even have the funds yet to create this product, and maybe the campaign will pick up speed near the end but if it continues the way it has for the past couple days I dont see them reaching their goal. Dont get me wrong though, I want nothing more than for this company to succeed and to put out an awesome portable and I wish nothing but the best for them. Im just being realistic and judging them based on the XP release, but maybe this one will be different and they will release a FULL production model that doesent need updates and revisions.

I am going to purchase a brand new XP unit to hold me over until the 05 is released and has been on the streets for a month or two to see how everything is turning out.

Dear friend.

The 05 IS the fully developped version of the XP; of the INH04 in fact. The product is fully created and tested. Molds, electronics, accessories, packaging and assembly method are ready.

The campaign is the push to get everything on a commercial scale. Your help is needed!

sweet just snagged a XP! First international order Ive ever done so it should be here within 5-10 business days (Im expecting 10 because Im all the way down here in Texas). I really cant wait! Are the newest production models pretty stable?

Also went ahead and contributed for the barebones kit as well. I really hope I like this thing but Id like for this to hold me over on portables for the rest of the year!

I'm not sure if you are speaking of the INH5 battery , but @CentiZen has a great website that carries batteries for the INH4 as well as the solo. The batteries on his site have more power than the stock batts. Here is the link if interested
http://vapepower.ca/product/hc-inhalater-xp-battery/
Cheers :)

Thanks, I did visit his site and am indeed interested. Most reviews seem to be for the solo batteries, but I'm sure the xp ones have similar quality since all are happy with the solo bats. Also, CentiZen seems to know his stuff, so I'm sure it would work great, but I just don't know what more powerful batteries might do to warranty, so I would definitely use one for my older XP's when it comes time to change them (which is not easy as with the INH05), but when I get my brand new INH05, I prefer to keep everything within manu's specs, at least in the beginning.

I have 3 xp's now, and my oldest one doesn't have quite the charge it used to, so may consider it for this one, if I feel comfortable enough to change it myself some time, which I don't currently.

Thanks for mentioning though.

Here is cool bit of info; The electronic modules of the 05 are now in production. This bit will amount to 12000$ for completion. And will be ready in 2 weeks approx.

If we can secure enough Paypal funds by that moment there is the possibiliy of having production running before the end of the campaign! Awesome

Couple quick things, just got the inhalater an hour ago!

Inside the heater there was an extra piece of the same material the bowls are made out of and it was poking inside the bowl when I would put it in the inhalater, so I pulled it out without any effort, maybe just an extra piece from somewhere? Not sure? But it didnt effect performance thats for damn sure!

I just got done with a bowl, I loaded half the bullet very loosely. My scale sucks but Id say it was less than .1, ALMOST enough to fill a mflb trench completely. I started at 4 and hit it THE SECOND the light turned a solid green, nothing but warm taste, so I bumped it to 5. At 5 I got some light blue visible vapor and excellent taste! I like to treat the 2 holes on my unit as carbs. I usually start the hit with both holes being covered, then half way through the hit I release one hole and then right before I take that final inhale I uncover the other hole. Almost makes it feel like a pipe or bong when you pull the slide, which I really liked! I ended at 8 until I couldent see any more visible vapor on the exhale, it was never too harsh on my throat and I didnt use those extender things either. I blew out a few impressive clouds though, the session lasted exactly 8 min because the auto shutoff happened to have perfect timing!

Even though there has been a few problems I feel my unit is quite well put together and works PERFECTLY. Exceeded my expectations and has me feeling really good! I feel confident in saying that this will replace my SOLO and pax.

Is it bad to charge it after every 2 or 3 uses or should I wait for battery to get super low to charge? I just want to make sure its around 80-100% at all times.

I charge it every time I see an empty charger... sitting there unused. (If I have used it since last charge)
I have had multiple sessions when out and about, but I charge when I can.

My advice to you would be to jump in on the indiegogo campaign for the Inhalater 05 instead. It has upgraded electronics, stronger USB port, longer lasting battery, and battery can be swapped out on-the-fly. Yes, the battery is 18650.

if you buy an inhalater in the US I would advise going to Taylor from theothersidevapes, he takes care of warranty issues QUICK

Beginning with your end and ending with your beginning.....off we go...INH05 beta in use....

I do believe he is authorized.....if you go to inhalater.com there is a page that lists authorized resellers..

Yes it is an 18650 2800MAH 3.7V.... please note that the XP battery replacement is difficult and I believe the manufacture prefers it not to be performed unless the old battery will no longer take / hold a charge..

As far as problems to be aware of....the one that comes to mind for me and is always in my mind as I still own 2 XP's.....the USB port must be protected.....from over twisting....as is acts as the primary mechanical stop for the switch..... so if someone were to say want to be sure it was off...and proceeded to give it a little extra twist to be sure it lifted on the cam......well the USB just got twisted on the circuit board....not good....
If you make a few preventive rules for yourself it shouldn't be an issue....the true corrective preventive design measures are all in the INH05.... therefore you need to be extra cautious with whom you allow to turn it on and off.... once a person realizes what happens to the USB port.... prevention is a snap.....
Also the latest XP version that I have {Q4 / Q1 2014} feels much sturdier than all the Q3 and prior versions that you might read about in this thread.... measures were obviously being taken to strengthen the port...while the designed protection measure was in RND.....

IMO... it was this issue that has likely fueled the need for the crowd-funding...you won't have to read back to far to see there was a bit of a replacement frenzy which just kills your bottom line....but I think it safe to assume that if you do go with the XP and something should happen to it.....it will be warrantied....and your replacement will likely be whatever the current version is at the time...

I should tell you also..... I'm the guy that bought 2 XP's {to always have 1 charged} and prepaid for an INH05 when those are ready..... so.... I might be somewhat biased.... just sayin :peace:

Sup folks. Was wondering if I was to make a donation for the inh05 for the bare bones will I get one no matter what happens with the campaign. Also. Are the 05 gonna have that sticker type label or something permanent.

I absolutely love this vape but have a question for you guys. I have the newest unit that Inhalater makes and so far I get nearly no vapor unless its about 6.5 so I only use 7-"9". I put a 9 in quotations because my unit only has the numbers 1-8 on it, then the "auto mode", but before the light pulses when its on auto mode I have enough room to turn the knob up to "9" before it actually changes over to auto mode. Does anyone elses unit do this as well? So basically I have 3 temp settings that are useful, 7, 8, and "9". I do all my sessions at 7 then slowly move up to 9 and get DARK DARK DARK ABV, Im talking some of the darkest stuff ive ever gotten without combustion.

Now, heres my quick question for you guys. I was having a sessions recently and wanted to check the material still left in the load, so I took out the capsule. To clear away any vapor in the capsule I took a drag on it and got a super big cloud (keep in mind this capsule is not in the unit, just by itself). I thought to myself, WTF, there is no way that much vapor could be in the capsule alone so I took another drag....another cloud WTF. So I repeated the experiment, loaded a fresh capsule, turned it to 9 and after taking a few drags I took out the capsule and got 2 more hits out of it. This vaporizer keeps the loaded material so hot its actually able to vape for 2 more hits without the capsule even being in the unit. This kind of freaked me out and has me wondering if maybe Im running it too hot and burned the material that the capsule is made of? There is no damage to the capsule thought and it still looks like it does from day 1 but Im just curious.

Even with just the three different temp setting I am still loving this unit and it seriously puts me on another level. Just plasters me straight to the floor haha.

Sorry for the double post but there was no way to edit this into my previous post this late. Im about 90% sure that my XP is combusting without a cherry if thats possible? When I pour out my material it is COMPLETELY and 100% black on the outside and the inside. If I pinch it between my fingers and rub I do get almost like a black ashy substance stuck to them. My lungs also feel MUCH heavier when I use the XP than any of my other vapes so Im fairly certain that something is wrong here. Inhalater, do you have any thoughts on this? Ill vaporizer one more bowl for the sake of taking pics of the end result for yall to determine but after that Ill wait until I hear a response from you.

Trust me you are not cumbusting....if you need convincing go hit a joint again and you will be reminded... You are feeling that heavyness in your lungs because you are pulling in some fairly dense vapor......

You might want to try this method.....dial her up to say 6.5 / 7.0 take your preliminary pulls....
...1st is full of wonderful flavor....but very little vapor... visible anyway.......
...2nd pull is also prelim....flavor is still very tasty and we are beginning to see a tiny bit of vapor
...3rd pull can also be a prelim....depends IMO on quality of substrate material....getting vapor now...
...4th pull before taking this one dial her back down to say 6.0 /5.5... you should be getting very tasty big clouds for say the next 5 or 6 pulls and if they are starting to feel weak then dial her up just a bit..

Many times when you dial her back down you can begin to savor more flavor while still getting some fairly decent dense vapor...which IMHO gets the job done quicker and very effective.....
Give it a shot.....we can often jump up too quickly because the preliminary hits appear weak..... this is when we either need to exercise a little patience or if that sounds too much like having to wait too long..... then try out the above approach just to see how it turns out......sometimes less is better... :peace:

Try gently tapping on the bottom. I had the same and a light tap lights it up until you adjust it again.

I experienced combustion only once with my XP and it was very obvious. There was a cherry, and the walls of the capsule were slightly deformed (melted) afterwards.

I would have to agree with @Old School - you would know for sure if you combusted.

My XP is capable of producing nearly black ABV on higher settings.

Well I was in the area of my LHS so I decided to see what was available in the way of glass stems that I might find something thats works well in my XP...... and I happy to report that I did....a few different types in fact....but one in-particular that had very thin walls is working exceptionally well for me at the moment......and I now understand better what all the talk and desire for an all glass path was all about..

It is so delicious tasting.....WOW...... I'm currently checking it out so I should wait before posting I know.. but it is just so delicious I had to tell someone..... very noticeable flavor improvement indeed..:peace:

Edit: Thinking about it....it's comparable to a fresh clean cap....still a bit better thou IMO...very Nice..!
