So I been extremely interested in making my first vapor brownies (since this is the main vapo recipe on the forums). Anyways I only have like 10g so far (i spilled alot on my floor :( ) and my AVB is dark brown. I want to make vapor brownies, but i've seen different scenarios from people who followed the the brownie recipe so hear are my questions.

1) Are there any other recipes, I can make from abv? If I can make drink of some sort that supports the consumption of abv (I know thc works with fat) are there recipes for this.

2) Is it ok the use dark brown abv for cooking?: I noticed that the op of the brownies post abv still had some green it it

3) Has anyone tried using a low strain of abv compared to a high strain. If so what were the resuts?

I haven't heard of this being used with AVB, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. THC will also bond to alcohol (and following this recipe you can even use citric extract). So you can make an THC infused alcohol. It's called Green Dragon and you can find directions for the various methods and pictures here: http://www.greendragonsoda.com/

Good luck with whatever you choose and let us know how it turns out. :brow:

1) The idea is to make butter or oil because it can be used in any recipe that calls for butter or oil.

2) Generally speaking, the darker the ABV, the lower the amount of actives left and the more you'll need to use. Garbage in garbage out.

other than making butter there really is no other choice. sure there are methods that sound good on paper....but butter always gives the best results.
Butter works just fine but it sounds like you're stating opinion as fact. I'm willing to bet you haven't tried every method out there.

ok what else would you presume could work? BHO....?:puke: would QWISO be a good idea?...only if you want dirty 'hash' if you could even call it that. put the duff thru a keif screen? mmmmm more nasty shit

how about ice water extracted hash...wow a disgrace to the bubble-bags if you even made it that way.

what other options are adequate for extracting the 'goods' from duff vtac? im interested to hear whats better than butter for duffs sake!

:peace:

edited////what argument? well anyhow I assume getting the 'good stuff' out of the duff would end up in some sort of concentrated form I.E. hash. but hey you could always attempt to make ganja-milk

Who said anything about hash? Check the thread title.

Oil works as well as butter in my experience. I won't comment on other methods, having not tried them. I'm sure there are many methods I haven't even heard of. That's kind of the point I'm trying to make here. But feel free to continue arguing with me about forum rules.

I had my first experience with making and ingesting cannabutter today. Last night I used about 12g of various good types of vaporized weed (light and dark brown colors, along with leaves and stems from good stashes) and put about 1/2 cup of butter (1 stick) in with boiled water (now simmering) for about 1 hour. Then I strained out the plant and let it sit in the fridge for about 15 hours (not planned, just when I felt like doing it). After collecting the CANAbutter from the water I measured it to find out that I still needed to add some more butter to my chocolate chip cookie batter. I just used about 1/4 cup more of butter and added it to the batter along with an egg, like it says in the recipe. Baked it up like it says on the instructions and made 1 giant cookie, LOL. I cut it up into about 25 pieces and eat about 4 pieces. I figured that I needed to eat at least 4 pieces because this was my first time making this concoction and I probably didn't perfect the extraction process; also, that fact that I used vaped weed and had to use extra NON-canna butter to complete the recipe, to me this means that it would be weaker. I was also NOT going to inhale any weed smoke or weed vapor before or during this process.

Anyways, I waited and about 1 hour and 30 mins later I began feeling some effects. It hit me unexpectedly and in my opinion, strong... I felt a little light-headed but also a bit euphoric. I could feel like my eyes were burning a little - could've been that I didn't sleep that much but it came on only around this time period and it felt more like when I'm stoned but my eyes weren't bloodshot (maybe just the placebo effect). I also got very thirsty, again, not sure if this is just my brain thinking that this is what I feel like when I am high. It sounds like I really didn't get high and that this didn't really work but after about 5 hours I'm finally starting to level out again... something hit me hard, like I was stoned off my ass, so must give my method a thumbs up (cannabutter). Next time I'll use only butter (no water)... it sounds like the process is much faster and easier and wastes less but I hope it's as potent and efficent.

I have about 20 or so more pieces left over (square cookies) so I'm guessing that eating 3-5 pieces each time is about right. It seems like the high is more intense when it comes on (about 90 mins after first bite) but lasted me a good 4 hours instead of the usual 8+ hours you are supposed to get with good NON-vaped weed. I've eaten space cakes in Amsterdam 10 years ago but I was smoking often and didn't seem to notice the effects as much.

BTW, are these accurate symptoms (dry mouth, burning eyes, etc) of being high when eating THC? Also, what's the best way of storing the cookies and keep'em fresh to consume at later times - right now I'm keeping mine in a seal-tight tupperware containter in the fridge. Anyways, just curious... thanks

This is a great video on cooking with weed, just use abv and figure on using 4 to 1. I vape my stuff well and have not good results but I only cooked once with it and am confident I did it wrong.

Anyways here is the youtube vid on cooking, its a dvd that someone put on youtube in 10 parts I think, it has many different recipes but the first is making butter which is a basis for many other recipes.
