Arizer Solo

Thanks.

That actually sounds pretty normal for a Solo that's seen some miles (which you say the original really hadn't?)..... Still, not really out of the ordinary. I bet a dozen charges from now the new one is off a session or so from that? Too bad we can't swap the batteries themselves, I strongly suspect that would tell the tale.

I wouldn't put too much stock in 'two sessions on level XX', if there are more total sessions than LEDs that has to happen somewhere. Likewise if the total is less (6) in the above case, there has to be a gap. It's called 'granularity' in the trade as I recall.

Thanks again. Be interesting to see how this plays out. If Solo really did get more efficient (use less power to do the same job) that would be exciting indeed. If so, that's definitely a feature worth looking for. IMO very unlikely, which adds a lot to that.

why can't we swap batteries?

why can't we swap batteries?

Because they're not ours. To swap batteries means opening them up, something the owner may not want to do (say for warranty, or because he's not full owner?), feel comfortable doing, or even be physically capable of.

In fact, looking back at it the way I put it was pretty presumptive in suggesting such a test. I wish I'd done it better.

In due time I'm sure the information will become available. Any day now, Pipes will crack.....and you know how good he is at keeping secrets.....

@cawshook @Belgianvapor

A possibility is each hit is alittle less harsh than a full stem (less vapor/air), this leads to slighly longer holding in the breaths (if vapor is smoother you can hold it in longer).

If vapor is getting you upto 92% of the THC in weed then when you exhale if you see vapor, its likely not all being absorbed by your body.

Sorry if that wasnt clear, the solo has done a great job tonight and im alittle :freak:

I'm sorry to report that my solo is not functioning normal, premature auto shut off, dim flashing idle light, wouldn't charge last night. I take the utmost care of my battery, and never use while charging(newer model). do you guys think its time to send it in for warranty?

Sorry to hear you're having problems, I think this is not a typical failure?

Sure sounds like the battery isn't charged (how many LEDs show in the battery state reading?). If it won't charge, or try to run 'PA' with the charger, I smell a dead charger. A 'not uncommon' problem with Solo in the past?

Eventually the battery protection board is going to kick in and end what little joy is left I bet.......

Good luck with it.

My replacement solo just arrived from Arizer, for the serial number addicts it is a M1T and seems to turn on and off faster. I just opened it so i cant say if its better or worse yet.
just recked mine as well.. defiant improvement. mine will heat up to 5 in 1 min from ice cold and the air flow is much better.. only set back i found was it makes a noise when you pull i think cause i have an oring in. but what ever the case kinda of annoying.. not a big deal tho

So, I just ordered one of these puppies off of vapornation (cheaper than my LHS, they wanted 240 for the vape, another 40 for a case, 50 for a grinder, etc - vapornation included everything, plus a bunch of freebies - a grinder card, a vaccuum vial, and some glass cleaner - and I got a 5 piece grinder for ~240 with free shipping - no contest).

I want to ask though - I am a bit of a lightweight (very intentional). How well does this fare if it's not fully packed? If I need to fully pack it, can I bring it up to heat, take a puff or two, shut it off, and then come back later? That's how I used to be able to use my pax (I sold it because vaping with it caused an upset stomach for me for some reason).

Also, can anyone provide advice on connecting this to water? I would love to read through the thread but.. uhh... 1000 pages is a lot :)

if you vape 1 bowl by your self on 5 you'll get quite high... perhaps too much.. try half first.IMO

The solo works great for small doses. It's not the best for stop and go hits more of a session vape. What you can do is barely cover the bottom of the stem a micro dose. Then vape it all

@wiggles thats not a deal at all.

planetvape.ca
the newest model Solo Vaporizer for only 142.00 Use code SOLO420

or Add the Solo and VapeCase and Screen Pack and Travel Caps and Volcano Grinder for only 160.00 Use code SOLO160

Damn, I wish I'd seen this. Sadly the order is already processed and I can't seem to find a way to cancel it. I avoided any vendors that weren't domestic (I've had bad luck with customs holding my packages for weeks because I used to order a lot of hardware from China/India) so I never even looked into them. on the upside, i just talked to their support - they can't price match once an order has been placed, but they threw in a bunch of extra goodies to make up for the difference :)

I've heard a lot of folks have good luck using dome screens - do the ones from the arizer extreme q work? Or did folks have to shape them on their own?

Thanks. This has been reported before, but also that (despite what the display says) it doesn't make vapor any faster. That is the load isn't magically hotter faster.

This has been confirmed a couple times I think? If you have both, can you please run that test? See if it really is all that faster at making vapor from a cold start? That is load and start both together and go back and forth between them.

TIA

Ask them if they will do a price match instead of a return. Talk to Kyle, let him know your situation. They charge a 15% restocking fee on returns. Hope you get a better deal, good luck!

I have used a dome screen before but didn't feel it made a big difference. Works great with dome screen and without no biggie. I do find having a screen of some sort necessary otherwise I get grinded herb in my mouth. I typically use a flat 1/2 but do use dome from time to time. Most people make their own dome by shaping it. I suggest ordering some cheap stainless steel screens online (got mine on eBay), get a few different sizes and see what works for you

Well, i'm sticking with them for now, as i edited in above, they couldn't do a price match once the order was already placed, but they threw in a bunch of extra goodies to make up the price difference (a bunch of reward points, free shipping upgrade, free rush processing, etc). It's not perfect, but it works. I'm not going to nitpick over what now turns out to be just a few bucks, lol. Anything that lets me avoid customs!

Solo and the MFLB orbiter gives really nice rips, but it's a little tippy with the glass set up I'm using.
The solo stem itself fits down the orbiter joint for a makeshift gong. It is a pretty precarious connection that you'll have to hold up but since you're using it like a slide, it works well.

Heads up to Pat (easyvape) for sending me a brand new unit after my old stop working.

Now it's time to get some glass pieces. I'm still considering PinaclePro Hydratube or something similar. Time to get toasted and have fun with the search function on FC.

I love the solo but....

the failure rate seems pretty 'high' (excuse the pun), between me and my mates we have returned probably 30-40% of our solos due to some sort of failure. Sad for otherwise such a good product.
