Check out this series of pics and when you do, make sure that you "show" the captions. Here is one of them:

This one makes my hair stand on end:

This was taken in the barrel of a wave at Sandy Beach, Oahu. That is the most dangerous beach in the islands, ranked by injuries. The reason is the sharp and sudden shore break. To take this picture he'd have to be taking a huge risk.

As someone who has put 25 years into underwater photography, I think this guy is amazing.

Paka, did you read the copy below the pics.

"Kenji Croman has broken bones, dislocated his shoulder and elbow, endured concussions and nearly drowned several times. A 10-foot wave landed directly on top of him five years ago, bending his body to the point that he actually kicked himself in the head.

"I literally heard every bone in my body crack," he said.

Yes I did. He doesn't say that the accident happened at Sandy Beach but I'll bet it did. Just standing on the shore and watching even small waves break there gives me the willies.

This is a place called the Wedge in Newport Beach. Used to body surf there a lot in my younger days. Talk about a shore break............These waves are crashing into about 2 to 3 feet of water at best. Gotta kick out early, or.......... :uhoh:

When we become lucid in our dreams, we realize ourselves as infinite potential, we let go of fear, and we are free to create that which we want to see in the world.
