2014 H.T. Cannabis Cup - Denver

Looks like High Times finally released the complete schedule for the cup. http://www.cannabiscup.com/denver

Some really cool panels/seminars.

Also, if anyone is looking for more to do over the 4/20 weekend you can check out dabroots, it's an event being run by the guys that put together the 710 cup, and it is more focused toward concentrates. www.dabroots.com/

One month to go!

That actually looks pretty cool. I might check out the Friday event.

Did you guys get the email about the guide app? It is pretty cool because it lists the schedules for all the events taking place at the cup.

Any of you guys going to check out dabroots?

Downloaded yesterday, pretty cool!
Dabroots looks cool, 50-50 on whether our group is going.

Still plotting out dispensaries to visit(concentrates and edibles are #1 on our list), and looking for Denver's best steak, pizza, burger, taco/burrito places to eat. Like the "must try" places.

I'll be checking out dabroots, the cannabis cup(obviously), the 4/20 rally downtown that is now 21+ with gated security, as well as whatever is happening at The Hoodlab.

With all the dab buses and such it makes getting around to all of these events super easy, and fun. Then, High Times also has that uber discount of 15%. I'll have a rental car so I don't mind driving a bit either, and I never find Denver traffic to be bad, at least not compared to the traffic around Chicago. Parking is easy and cheap too.

I'll definitely be on the look out for the best recreational concentrates. As far as edibles, I'll just be sticking with the Incredibles brand.

Dabroots might be worth at least one day for a while if you are into concentrates.

Wish I could help with food but I'm a vegetarian and a pizza snob

Thanks @aesthyrian! Chicago Pizza Mafia, right? lol

Do you think the Dabroots ticket cost would be recouped by "sample" dabs from vendors? I've never been to one of these so I don't know how the "medicating" areas work. But I saw a shatter table and a honeycomb table from the LA HT Cup from pics a friend sent, and it was like mounds of the stuff. Do they just give that out in dabs to people?

Down for at least a session at the Cup/Dabroots show with any fellow FC'ers(not trying to invade anyones "privacy", but I'm certainly willing to meet up). :peace:

From my research it seems CAM Recreational, DANK, The Greener Side, and Mile High Recreational have really good reviews. Many people seem to think CAM has the best flower in Denver. I did see some pretty good deals on concentrates at DANK a week or two ago.

My friend that is accompanying me is a vegan so if you know any good spots in the area please let me know. I've actually been meat free Mon-Fri and It hasn't been so bad at all.

Thanks @aesthyrian!

I'm down for a sesh as well. I'll be out there with my Pax and whatever oil vape I decide to purchase.

I'm so jealous of everyone going. Took my first trip out to Colorado last year and loved it. Hopefully I can make it down there next year....a good buddy of mine just got a job in Denver so I hope he doesn't mind some company, or a roommate. I may never leave :brow:

I'm sure you will get plenty of free dabs.

Judging by the 710 cup and last years Cannabis Cup, there will free dabs at basically every booth. I expect Dabroots to have much less people, therefor the dab to attendee ratio should increase. Last year the Cannabis Cup was literally all oil except for our friends at VapeXhale demoing the Cloud with some very tasty organic Blackberry kush. There might have been a few free joints or pipe hits here and there, but it was something you had to look for and I certainly was not looking for it.

This year I am thinking/hoping it will be different since recreational is now fully implemented. Hopefully the Cannabis Cup will have a nice mix of everything, while Dabroots will focus on strictly oil.

At both the 710 cup and the Cannabis Cup, It was literally a buffet of dabs. There was plenty of giant slabs designated just to be given out.

Watercourse foods has been pretty awesome the few times I've gone. http://www.watercoursefoods.com/

Cheeba hut might have some quick options for a vegan. Their hemp cream cheese is awesome, that's for sure. It's gimmicky in a fun way, and the sandwiches are actually good too. Just don't go around 4:20pm unless you want to wait in more lines.

A sesh would be cool, I'll have my oil rig and my Omicron, and hopefully some tasty concentrates by then. :)

I just saw this on someone's instagram feed.

"you can smoke in the smoking area but you have to bring you own they prevented booths from giving out any this year"

Apparently the person who posted that does have a booth.

I could see this being true since technically if you are paying for a ticket to get into a event where you will get free weed, that means there was some form of remuneration, which is illegal. The only way it could fly legally is if they gave free weed to anyone, not just ticket holders.

Granted, that is how its been done for awhile but maybe High Time's lawyers got a stiff warning?

I just don't want to mislead anyone, and by sharing my experience from last year I may have done so. I really hope this isn't true, or is at least enforced laxly.

Also, I just got an e-mail for 15% off dabroots tickets. Promo code "grcfive". Good until 4/11.

Now I'm going! I wanted to hit up Friday's events but I'm not going to reach Denver til about 5pm and then I want to immediately hit up a few dispensaries. Most likely I will be at Saturday's event in the evening after the cup.

Are you going all three days?

I plan on attending the cup on Saturday. Will have a couple of HI's, Voltage Keeper's, and some battery packs with me. Also will have some various fluidizing style roasting tubes for any vaporizer I happen to meet with an 18mm glass connection. I might even bring my HILSV to demonstrate my new Aerodabbing technique if I can find some 110v power. I have not been to this venue yet so I don't know what to expect. I live in the area and will be available all weekend if someone wants to check it out.

+1 for Watercourse Foods! I used to live down the street from them and they do awesome vegetarian cuisine. I'm not even vegetarian but always had a great meal there. Have fun at the cup everyone!

Not heading to the cup myself, but I'm thinking we should do a FC meetup. There is a solid amount of FC'ers here in Denver Metro area. Maybe those local to the area can bring vapes for the meetup. I could probably also do some bbq. Thoughts?

Sounds cool to me. I'd love to hear about some of the must visit local spots from actual locals because I'm only in Denver for the weekend. I'll have my EVO and Pax on hand if we do decide to have a sesh.

Anyone think there will be any accessible power outlets at the cup? It would be awesome if I could use the EVO there.

I do know that the recreational smoking area will be outside, so the chances of outlets are probably slim, but maybe bring an extension cord just in case you find a free outlet? :)

I can see clearly now the smoke is gone...
My wife lost 2 employees last week so I'm out. :(

At least I bought a refundable ticket and didn't try to go cheap this time. :)

For eddibles check out the giving tree, they have the bluekudu chocolate that tested over the 100mg label (slightly over but much better than other brands that tested under).

Also has elixer weed soda, was very potent from what my friend told me.

CAM has great selection of buds, bubble hash, and BHO. I tried the golden goat and loved it. Limited selection of edibles though.

Also check craigslist so good deals there too ;)

Any recommendations on concentrates? Seems the rec prices for extracts are just insane. Many times the medical prices in the same store seem almost have of what they are charging for their REC stuff right on the other side of the counter.

I really don't want to use the craigslist delivery services, but unless some of these shops have concentrates that aren't 50/g before taxes, I just may have to if I want to get enough to fully enjoy myself.

I did find a crazy deal on some D9 C02 Syringes for $12 a half gram. They say "oral" syringes but apparently it's only because the company, D9, has a license to make marijuana infused goods, so they have to sell/market their oil for that use.

But that price is so low it's scary too

Here's a few coupons I found:

This place is in Boulder, but the prices.. http://imgur.com/jx3mQmq

and whatever this might be http://www.strainwise.com/ai1ec_event/happy-420-first100-giveaway/?instance_id=115

I plan to stop somewhere to pick up a free copy of the Westword in hopes that their will be some REC coupons in the back.
