Extreme Vaporizer Vs. Herbalaire Vs. I Inhale/I olite

Alright, so me and 2 of my buddies decided that we want to get a vaporizer, mainly because we like.... herbs.... but dislike smoking, and also because were tired of asking our other friend to use his herbalaire with him.

So, weve narrowed it down to the extreme vape, herbal aire, and the i inhale, but we arent sure what to get.
The extreme vaporizer looks like (from what ive read) the best vaporizer out of the three because it creates vapor the fastest (it has 3 internal fans). Ive also read that this vaporizer is great as both a whip vaporizer and a bag filling one. Another plus about this vaporizer is that it looks fairly discrete and if my parents ever found it, i could probably pass it off as an airfreshner (which it actually is). The cons to this vaporizer is that it is made of lots of glass which is kinda scary incase we drop it. (Does anyone know if you can pick up plastic parts for it instead?). Also this vape is the biggest of the 3, being just slgihtly bigger than the herbalaire, so it would be most difficult to hide.

The herbalaire vaporizer is the one our friend has right now and we like it alot. Although it (apparently) doesn't create vapor as fast as the extreme vaporizer, we never really had a problem at all with the whip system, however weve never tried the bag system on the herbal aire because my bud lost his bags. Another good thing about this vape is we know its pretty durable because some dumb girl knocked it off a table and its still working fine. Cons to this vaporizer are that it probably looks the most like some sort of smoking tool, and it doesnt produce vapor as fast as the extreme vaporizer. Also it doesnt really look as cool as the extreme vape, although thats not a big deal.

Lastly, is the i inhale. Now it seems like a pretty sweet little tool, but at the same time, it seems really gimmicky, and almost too good to be true. Pros for this vape is obviously the portability and size of it. Also it looks like a walky talkie, so i would have no problem at all hiding it from my parents. However, we're kinda skeptical about the butane used for this vape (like is the butane relased when you inhale?), and were not sure on the reliability of the unit. Also this vape just doesnt seem like it would be as good as the other two for sessions because we will most likely be vaping with 3+ people most of the time.

So, right now were definately leaning towards teh extreme vaporizer with the herbal vape coming a close second, mostly due to the fact that the extreme has so much glass and thats scary). So vapes are alot of money, and id appreciate some help on this. Which one should we get! Btw we have a car adapter so thats usually where we hit our friends vape if anyone was wondering.

oh by the way, i forgot to say. The herbalaire and extreme are both priced at 350, the i inhale is priced at 289 (canadian)

I think you mean you're skeptical about the way the iolite processes the butane. The "butane used" is totally up to you. Good quality fuel is available, and the vape has a filter for impurities. You really should read the iolite thread, at least the rep's explanations of how it works.

I'd be more worried about the reliability of the Extreme (think digital) than the glass (or the iolite), but I guess if you've got stoned friends handling the vape....

The herbalAire is the safest bet IMO. I used one on a regular basis for over two years. But I think you'd be happiest with the Extreme. It's $259 CA from Rockwise.net.

yeah, thats what i meant. The point of vaporizing is to eliminate the toxins going into your lungs and im wondering how well this happens with the butane in the i inhale. What do you mean by saying you would be more worried about the extreme because its digital?

Heat is the enemy of solid state electronics (that and switching it off/on). When you put a digital controller in a unit that's designed to produce heat, you're asking for trouble, and we've seen a fair number of dead Extremes reported. Digital circuitry is the #1 potential problem in a vape. Go analog and your chances of long term reliability increase greatly.

Unlike some manufacturers though, I think Arizer will have reasonable repair/replacement costs after the warranty period has expired. If you're an international buyer, you'd have to take shipping/customs costs into consideration for repair, but since you're in Canada....

i like my extreme quite well. its like you said, "very fast vaporizing time". as far as wanting plastic parts, think about your health. glass doesnt give off any fumes. if i were you i'd invest in a tough turbo bowl. i also must say that the elbow pieces are pretty fragile as i have broken both of the ones that came stock with my unit.

how fragile are we talking though with these glass parts? The guy in the youtube video emphasized how strong the glass used was... Im pretty sure if we dropped them they would break though? yeah its a pretty close call between the herbal aire and extreme. Illadelph are you saying that the herbalaire releases fumes cause of the plastic?

Mike, I own both the E and the HA. I like both very much (for different reasons).

The HA uses only high grade PFTE teflon (which is totally inert at vaping temps) in its vapor path, not plastic.

I believe that the plastic that Illadelph was referring to was in response to you mentioning replacing the glass with it in the E. I wouldn't even consider doing that as plastic will off-gas when heat is applied to it.

Although glass is a good choice for the vapor path, it does have the downside of breakage, if you're not careful with it. The tuff bowl for the E is a good choice as the bowl is wrapped in a high temp resistant silicone covering that protects it. And yes, the elbow will break if you're not careful when removing the whip tubing from the corrugated glass connection. I'd also suggest to hold the bowl by the black plastic outer piece to brace it whenever removing the elbow as the glass connection will stick at times.

Every vaporizer has its upsides and downsides, it's up to you to determine which one suits your wants and needs the best on how you will be using it. Regardless of which vape you choose, I would suggest getting extra pieces if possible (like elbows, bowls, screens, tubing etc.) in case of an accident. Not only will it keep you vaping, but will save you on any extra shipping costs. :brow:

alright so we bought the extreme yesterday and we were blazing it. I know that tthe ideal temperature is supposed to be like 330 C. My vape for some reason only goes to 260C though. We cant increase it anymore than that. We still got really high but i knew something was wrong. Did anyone else have this problem?

oh haha woops. yeah we were blazing it at 260 all night... thats probably way to high... next time well try 190 or 200. We also tried hitting the bag, but for some reason it wouldnt fill up. i think we were just too baked though. haha its a really good vaporizer btw.

Just a guess but if the bag wasn't filling up, you probably didn't have the fan turned on ;)

Glad you like your Extreme Vap. It's one of the vaporizers I'd love to own.

Nope. That's beyond combustion point. Did you read the Vaporpedia article on the Extreme?

"There are currently 3 revisions of the Extreme. The only way for you to be certain of which version you have is to turn your unit on and dial the temperature to its maximum setting and see how high it goes.

v1 - 350C
v2 - 250C
v3 - 260C
It's important to understand that the temperature of the element and the air hitting the herbs is identical in all 3 revisions. The only difference is the temperature reading on the display."
