I just finished reading up through Vol. 6 earlier today..
Michonne is the shit!! That part where she got to the Governor was gnarly.. It has been cool reading the comics, now that I have seen all the episodes.. I just wish that I had more to read :(.. Vol.6 ends w/ the prison preparing for Woodbury's likely future attack..

Then the shit is about to hit the fan and cover everyone in feces. What happens next in the original writing is grizzly, demoralizing and heat breaking.

Now after reading what all the governor did to michone and rick the govna, on tv is pretty weak... and so is michone in a way.... but rick would seem to be stronger being one are wiser.... but I think that because he doesnt have that I went through hell lost my arm and ate the devils liver look he may seem less strong to some of the predators. .. the arm this I only comment as a forshadow.... im trying not to get spoiler alerts here.

So, I'm current w/ the comics now, up through 127... Now it sucks waiting.. I loved being able to just go through one after another.. Now I believe it is a month between issues. :(

Season 1-2 SPOILER ALERT

Hi guys, I just wanted to chime in with my experience. I see its a very popular show, but I dont share this popular thought.

I liked the caracter interactions, stories etc. I decided to accept zombies can teleport into action during camera angle changes. I accepted it was needed; I saw this as a good drama with bad atrocious impossible unbalanced zombie action. The 1st time when rick enters the city in season 1, change camera angles a few times and wham!, surronded by slow moving zombies while he is riding a horse.. Totally makes sens... Not!

But season 2, while they look for the girl in the woods from hershel's house. They sent a few search parties. Darrel has problems with teleported zombies, im fine with that. But when he comes back, kinda late, NOBODY thinks it could be darrel comming back. Noooo. Nobody listens to the do not shoot the "zombie". Noooo. 1 "zombie" alone in plain open sight. She has to shoot not knowing what she shoots, sure. Thats too stupid for me. The drama is about finding the girl lost in the woods, they forget darrel is searching and hasnt come back!?

I was ok with bad zombie action causing good drama. But I didnt like bad inter caracter action to cause drama. Blindly shooting an ally because of the sun while urgent action was not necessary, bullets scarce, in a world where human life is scarce is too far stretch.

I stopped there

I've come to realize that The Walking Dead falls victim to the typical horror movie stereotype of having the dumbest humans ever imaginable having to deal with the unimaginable.

I mean, honestly, if that bugged you about Andrea, then just stop watching now. Season 3 will drive you crazy, and these people are only getting more careless and trusting of strangers. I mean, they go through a lot, but never learn a god damned thing from it.

'The Walking Dead' companion series gets pilot greenlight

http://insidetv.ew.com/2014/09/05/walking-dead-companion-series/

AMC has officially ordered a pilot set in the same zombie-plagued universe as TV’s top-rated drama series. The as-yet-untitled project will go into production later this year, and will be set in a different location than the original series and star a new cast of characters.

No shit!!?? Thanks for the Heads Up!! Usually it had always started on Halloween IRRC.. I hadn't even thought about it yet.

I'm all current w/ the comics, but the pace got really slow IMO and I just about lost interest, until the last issue.. It looks like things are getting a little more interesting.. I wish they were longer though :freak:.. it's such a quick read, then it's a month until the next one usually, AFAIK

EDIT:
Not sure but, I think I caught a glimpse of Lucille and her lover around the 2:20 mark.. It almost looks like a clip of the eeny meeny miny moe thing from the comics.. Looks like a lot could happen this season. I noticed some familiar looking scenery in that preview..

I'm not sure it's Lucille...yet. I think they want us to think it's Lucille. But I don't see any barbed wire on that thing.

I'm wondering if it was a red herring meant to induce speculation and discussion. :hmm:

I'm still shocked at how damn good that episode was. I have a feeling the next episode will be a slower one, and they obviously meet up with Gabriel, which is nice for us comic nerds. The story of Terminus is really intriguing too and I can't wait for more of the "then" scenes. Gareth is a really interesting character to me, and his evolution seems very similar to Rick's in many ways.

So glad Terminus is already burnt down though, because I did fear a whole other season of the group just hanging out in the same place sort of like Season 2 and Season 3. Good to know Terminus is not the new farm or prison.

But now they are on the road, and personally I love it when they don't have a safe place or a haven, I love it when they are surviving on the road and coming across all sorts of monsters disguising themselves as humans.

I have a feeling we will meet certain members of a very violent group called The Saviors, which is the same group I'm assuming first took Terminus and tortured and raped everyone. Their leader Negan however, will most likely be saved until the last few episodes or even the last few minutes of the season finale.

Shit is finally getting real.

Zombies no longer scare me.

Flaming zombies don't scare me.

Carol? Yeah, she fucking scares me. :tinfoil:

I just love me some Carol. What a freakin' awesome job they did with her character development. Also thought it was a shame she didn't get an award for the 'Lizzie, look at the flowers' scene last season. Major acting chops there!

Give me 'Caryl' and Michonne on my kickball team please. :2c:
