Regarding the bowls I have stuck with the standard bowls and have been getting good results. Having said that I usually end up stirring to get there which is a pain in the arse. The most thorough extraction for me though has been with the hookah. Usually I will hit a bowl until there is no or almost no visible vapor. With the hookah though I have to monitor the taste closely or I find it will just keep extracting until I reach combustion. I have reduced the temperature quite a lot though from my original setting. I find 78v a good temp now. With the bubbler I still like to go to about 107v and try not to use boost. It is always so tempting to hit the boost though but I combusted so many times I finally learnt my lesson.

Thanks for the pics mate :D

How do you find the new heater? Any noticeable difference aside from no hot spots?
I do find there is less restriction when in boost mode which is how I always use it. It also seems to get the ABV darker at the same voltage. A chocolate brown. This can vary with draw speed though but that's to be expected.

I just bought an E-Nano, will be interesting seeing how it compares. What do you think @Madcap79 , do they compare at all? I have heard the Nano's taste is amazing, something that I find the Infinity lacks a little...

@GSH
I think you will notice that the Nano has an edge in flavor. The pull resistance is fairly close when using boost on the Infinity (with the old style heater). The new heater has the same resistance as the HI when using boost. Maybe slightly more restrictive. Is this your first log style vape? I love my logs. Haha. I should make a shirt......

I had a PD, but the bottom blew out...heater needs re-seating. But I like that logs have moved on a lot since I bought the PD. I loved it though... ;pd;

You should make a shirt, that's a pretty cool catchphrase "I Love My Logs!" :lol:

I also took out my Infinity last night after using my new Nano for the past week and a half. I also concur that it hits hard. @GSH as a new Nano owner I think you will be very pleased with yours. Excellent flavor and no doubt it can produce massive clouds if you desire. I think for daily use I prefer the Nano but for those times when you want to feel very heavy effects the Infinity will do the job very well.

I should also add that Chris got back to me about the Versa website and I am not banned. Some kind of technical issue.

I still maintain the same position regarding Versa. I like the Vaporizer. I have no trust in the company.

Something concerns me about the reports of 2nd-rate flavor,
along with the heater/wiring issues.
@Madcap79, you have the new heater yes?
Did it bring any improvements in flavor?

I can't wait to try my G1 with the new souped-up controller,
seem to be on a bit of a t-break hopefully over soon.
I just wanna see if it can milk my blaze bong snow white,
along with the new ash-catcher I have on the way from china.

If it can it will be worth it right there :tup:

Is what you have a G1 and not a MKII? (Was there really a difference besides the bodies?) I guess its whatever they say it is. Somehow @Mr. Gweilo 420 got an Infinity Versa :rolleyes: and not a Versa Infinity :hmm:

Wtf is a MkII, I though it was infinity or g1 :suspicious:

And my G1 is the same as the infinity now so :huh::freak:

grokit,
@paytonpenn - lol you got me there dude :) For some reason that is what I have been calling it. I told y'all it hits hard right?!:rofl::leaf:

Actually, I must say I have never had a clue about what the differences are between the two units.

@grokit

I would say the flavor is still there and you can white wall your piece for sure. I don't have the most discerning palate so asking about taste from me might be misleading. To me, almost all my vapes give me just about the same flavor profile. The cool thing about the Infinity is the fact you can take one huge pull and just about extract all the goodies and get good flavor. I usually only fill an ELB caps worth though. I don't think the new heater changes much in the flavor department. I am quite certain you will enjoy the vape when you get it running properly.

Well fuck, can of worms indeed. I still haven't been able to get my G1 to work. The replacement controller box failed on me, after the first one was not powerful enough. Here's the message I sent to cs1@versavapor.com Saturday morning:

I finally got a chance to evaluate the G1 again this morning and the new controller box failed on me. I had the dial to about the middle of where the light turned on for about 10 minutes, and it kind of worked but not hot enough. So I turned it up to a click or so under maximum and about 5 minutes later the light turned off. But instead of indicating ready the controller box had failed, and it will not turn back on. Maybe since I didn't get the compact body I need a full-size controller box as well?

I'm hoping that somebody can help me with it, as I haven't heard back from anybody yet.

I was going to ask if there were any updates on their forum. Shitty that you haven't heard anything!

I would message Chris on the forums, he informed me of a new model design concept some of the testers will get a preview to use. He mentioned the new model has a handle for added safety and the removal of the removable heater cover.

I'm hoping he gets a chance to test the concentrate adapter without a glass frit for herb.

Thanks. I posted to a similar message to the the versa forum right before I posted this one. I would have preferred to hear back from the email I sent on thursday, hopefully just another glitch in the system.

Do we know what the piece on the left is? I'm sure Chris will tell me when he wakes up. Also, videos soon.

EDIT:
And here I am testing my Versa at 90v, boosting the already black ABV.

If you mean the funny gourd shaped glass doohicky, that is a whip adapter, the cap unscrews to reveal the herb chamber that traps your material between two screens.

If you mean the piece in the foreground, that's the Hookah adapter. I highly recommend you try that. Amazon has really cheap mini-hookahs (perfect size for vapehooking), I got a 10" for 12 bucks that works great.

Hmm. Your base looks different from mine, it has the hose adapter nipple? Mine doesn't have that.
