The Lotus Vaporizer

Does V3 of the Lotus work with an adaptor on the D020 without resorting to bending the stir stick?

Sadly, I had to bend the stir stick on my V3 to fit on a D020 with an 18mm to 14mm reducer. I am however receiving a custom OGB 18mm to 14mm Angled adapter (15 degree, very slight angle). That should provide the clearance I need for my next Lotus Cap (since I want a natural cap instead of my black one).

Be careful when you release your draw on a D020 - the water settling causes the ABV to 'burp' out of the WPA. I suspect that even with the cap on, bits of ABV burp up into the intake ports and become trapped in the Lotus cap(Suspect, I can't confirm without dismantling a well used cap). I use the WPA handle to lift the entire Lotus vape up away from the D020 before I release the draw to ensure the ABV is undisturbed. I'm thinking about buying a claisen to act as a carburetor.

Also note, while I could bend my stir stick easily away to make space, it's now loose. I can gently wiggle the stick (And feel it move when stirring the WPA). I'm currently contemplating which adhesive to fill the gap between the stick and the original glue to ensure I don't lose the stick at some point. I'm thinking a very small dab of epoxy glue will be sufficient.

I can see clearly now the smoke is gone...
Neither the Solo nor Lotus are stealth vapes. I know they can be used discriminately if necessary, but they are not stealthy.

Just this weekend I tried to use the Lotus as a stealth piece due to my missing MFLB. I ended up with burnt fingers, spilled weed, weird stares in the bathroom etc. As far as the Solo. I was at a music event. No open containers going in or out...

Once you realize the freedom from a true stealth vape, MFLB, PAX, PnPro etc, this becomes clear.

In those rare moments, the FF shines!!

Well said, I don't consider any of my vapes "stealth" enough use in public - in my car in a nearly empty parking lot, maybe, but never in a bathroom/office setting. I'd rather keep away from the general public when using my vapes, and enjoy them as they were meant to be.

There's nothing like having a Wednesday off, and milking your glass bubblers with a Lotus in the back yard on one of the first *nice* days of spring. Now I'm off to a huge food show for hours of free food samples!
:mmmm:

The PnP is portable I guess still takes too long. The Pax is available as a grey import no official dealers and the firefly is only from the USA and the voltage is 110 only AFAIK so needs a step down. The Ff I would like to try.

I'm happy with the Lotus it really suits my purposes. I just smoke pure ones when out find a crafty corner and I can smoke a joint in a minute max the PnP would not even have reached the lowest temp setting in that time 8 minutes minimum to get through a bullet is too long in outside urbanland.

I'm sure the tech will improve. Like the battery developed for a Samsung s4 that takes 27 seconds to go from flat to full charge. With improved batteries it makes port vapes more likely to be greatly improved.

I don't think there is an ideal vape for me at the moment they are either plug in only or flawed in some way. But the lotus is by far the best it's only flaw is in public you'd be mistaken for a crack head using that by me.

Just go direct, and get a 10-year warranty:

The pax is the very definition of stealth but it burns through herb quite inefficiently,
and the conduction taste really suffers compared to convection vapes like the lotus and ff.
The FF is one I'd be interested in but it doesn't last long enough between vapes while needing a recharge.

They are all too inconvenient bulky to shove in a pocket on a night out. I'll await the next wave of portable vapes see what they bring. TBH I can still suffer combustion for the effects but after vaping it really tastes foul and putrid now and I can't tell blueberry from cheese smoking now it all tastes the same apart from shl and amnesia the citrus shines a bit.

@ataxian

I indulge outside/in garage so the solo will be ideal when it warms up a bit

I can get quite a few sessions out of my FF....battery life improves with technique. Battery charge lasts me a full day off my FF. Mainly cause I hit it and quit it!

I'm loving the lotus but it's giving me a mean sore throat after 3 days of using it non-stop as my daily go-to.

So now I'm using the j-hook with ashcatcher and it's less irritating.

I hear you!

I vape flowers at home.
Backyard with the weather so nice.
In the garage when it rains.
Never in the house.
My wife doesn't like the smell.

I'm scared to vape outside of my home.

People who vaporize in public are pretty brave!

There are many good vaporizers these days.
I just keep it simple and basic!
The LOTUS is for outside! (In my case!)

Yeah. I am not much into vaping in public spots. The lotus has become my daily driver at home and the FF is pretty much just for when I travel..considering getting rid of it. I have come to find that I prefer the simplicity and at the same time the complexity of a flame vape. For me breath, flame, simplistic convection vape...primitive it may be compared to what is out there today. But the hits and the taste are on point!!

With a flame you can do the high temp vaping that some people love and with breath and playing with flame distance you can get low temp vaping to. You can do the gull gambit with blame and breath control. it is so fucking ZEN!!

The smell of (mainly cheese) is common day and night in the my local town centre. It's mainly under 25s who smoke it openly in the town.

A lot of pubs I go to its often smoked outside. That's why I like 1 sheets they just look like a roll up cigarette less suspicious than a vape.

Years ago in several local pubs it was smoked openly the stench of red seal black or lebanese/north African hash filled the air. Crazy when you think about the 1980s the law would kick people's doors in for a gram or 3

@grokit

The pax I'm not so sure about but yes it's something else to shove in my pockets on a night out I need a man bag I guess

Got a new lighter in a few days ago and completely solved all my problems. After the first 2 bowls was blowing huge clouds no problem. Far from perfect but have been getting good at getting it a nice brown most of the time. Have been looking at getting some screens. Wondering if anyone in canada found any good deals for 50 or 100, everywhere I've seen has been $10 or more for shipping.

I have tried the Lotus, Solo & Firefly. The Solo on 3 gives me an amazing flavor that tingles in the top and back of my head. The Firefly tastes even better! But one or two big rips on these great portables won't do the trick for me. The Lotus will and does it with minimal flavor loss in my Sherlock! Plus with water pipes it stacks immediately, on demand! Would love a Firefly but it wouldn't replace my Lotus or overtake it for that matter.

How small is the mouthpiece end of the j-hook that Lotus sells? Is it smaller than the mouthpiece end of a solo stem?
