The references to EVO in this thread are voluminous and quite frankly, very telling, and disappointing. I will remind you all that you were IMHO, "coached" to not report bad things in this thread until given a chance to be "worked out" . . . a fact I constantly try to remotely observe around.
I see people giving their honest opinions. Surely this does not imply that members were coached with what truths to reveal?

The only problem I have heard about is that clicking sound on heat up/maintaining, which mine had. it still worked perfect but I wanted to get rid of the noise.

This seems to me to be a bit offside, as the question was never about honesty, rather disclosure. Those two things are not mutually exclusive.

Is removing that sound even possible? I recall someone posting here that the sound is actually showing the heater to be functioning properly.

I never received any coaching  about posting in here, what did I miss out on?

Disclosure implies telling things that are not yet for public knowledge... secrets
Disclosure does not apply to products already on the market for public purchase.
Sorry, but I have seen no disclosure at all.... only honest opinions of things that others can clearly find if they looked.
I was confused by the statement "you were coached to not report bad things in this thread until given a chance to be worked out"
This tells me that members using the Evo were asked to not reveal things that do not work well... but to instead go to maker for resolution, rather than let the truth be out there.
I am all for reporting bad things publicly, and I will admit that I was a tiny bit offended by the word "coached".. as It made me feel that there were things that we all might benefit from knowing.. that individuals were asked in advance to not reveal about a unit already out on the market!(IE: bad things).
I found the references to the Evo, also to be very telling.... but far from disappointing, as they show revelations.
I never received any coaching  about posting in here, what did I miss out on?
And as you see the comment itself has confused members!
I will say that what is disappointing is the continued mention of other vapes in any dedicated thread, after the initial comparative questions have ceased.

Fuck Vaporizer Combustion
Does anyone have any pro tips on connecting the Herbalizer to the Roor Tech Flush Recycler (14mm male)? I realize the Herbie wasn't necessarily designed with this use in mind, but I like water so I'd like to be able to use my WTs with it.

I've searched the thread and read many posts re. tubing and GonG attachments, but everyone seems to do it a little differently. I don't carry around my big water pieces, so portability/storage isn't a concern in this case. Taste is what I'm going for, so I'm considering forgoing the stock whip in favor of a shorter tubing run between the Herbie and the WT. I'd also really like to avoid "sticky whip syndrome" since I have three dogs.

From the posts I've seen in this thread, it appears that some people use SSV tubing (3/8" ID) and fit the end directly on top of the Herbie's bowl. Others use a female GonG adapter, which seems to just sit on top of the Herbie bowl. Am I getting that right, and if so, what size female GonG would fit the best there (from posts I've seen, it seems people are using anything from 10-18mm)?

Any other strategies that might work well for this? TIA!

Here's the easiest way I've found. Pick up the following from ebay for 6 bucks:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/271413896425?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

The tubing is inferior, throw it away or save for some other use. But take the "Hot" (lol) GonG adapter (the little glass thing on the other end is a mouthpiece, keep or discard) out of the tubing. It is 18mm, so you'll need an adapter to fit on the RooR Flush's 14mm male end. The end of the GonG adapter pictured below will fit the stock Herbie whip tubing if you remove the Herbie mouthpiece. Not the best way but it's quick and cheap.

This is how I hook Herbie up to my Do2o bubbler. I'd also like to get a wider and shorter hose but that's a project for later and will likely need different hose adapters.

I would also like to chime in here. I wrote an uncoached and unbiased review of the Herbalizer when I first received it and I can proudly say things have only gotten better. I would have no problem reporting any issues I encounter to the members of this forum like I have with several other devices. The fact remains that there is nothing to report on the Herbalizer! It is my go to vape at home and most times I will take it with me when I leave because all my friends love it. It has brought me more knowledge about the effects of different strains and has allowed me to zero in on the medicinal benefits i so desperately seek. THANK YOU HERBALIZER

I am going to give this a thumbs up.
What a great idea!
I have a box with a dozen of these tube/whip/mouthpiece combos.. that I use to give folks for emergency use with box type vapes. an 18m/18m male to male adapter allows use in all opposite vapes (like DBV)
@Mister G .. I never thought of using this for water pieces, and you have given my "extras" box items a new use.
I will likely give this a shot with the Herbalizer this very morning!

Wow, just happy to help, I'm surprised I came up with something you didn't already do @Vitolo :brow:

Sometimes I just sit around envisioning adapter scenarios in my head -- I know, it's my problem and I'm dealing with it.:evil::evil: But when I get an "aha" that I actually do have the right stuff to put something together, wow that's a great problem-solving feeling...

I may be wrong, but I think you guys are misinterpreting the 'coached' comment. I think what t-dub was referring to was our rule that says to state your problem once and move on until there is a resolution to report. This has been brought up many times in the cloud threads because of the manufacturing fubar that occurred. I also think t-dub was suggesting that rule be applied to a re-posting of the same complaint about a cloud in this thread.

They asked me to send them a recording of the sound, which I did and they said it was not normal. You cant hear the sound in the demonstration videos either. It is only during the intitial heat up and every so often when it maintains the heat.

Ok. please keep us informed here on what happens with your unit and what the Herbie people do with it back at the labs. I think a lot of us here have that sound as well and are just used to it, but if it means my Herbie isn't healthy, I need to know that.

The green part is what moved me to begin writing this post, I will clear up the "coached" comment. IIRC a couple people posted that they received a note (slip of paper) in the box with their Herbalizer that said not to post here with initial problems but to contact them first. Thats cool, they can do that, but it makes remote viewing a quiet thread much more difficult by creating a fog of controversy.

Second, I think you guys can define this vape without bashing another one. VXL's problems have been on full display for all to see, we have NEVER been instructed not to share on FC. The only thing you can't see, yet, is the new concentrate adapter we are beta testing now.

Ok, so I gotta check in and ask... who else is pushing their own record for pulling "the walk-away"?

Haha, I am now the K I N G of taking a fat rip, and then just walking away, forgetting I ever got high. I cannot tell y'all how many times I have come back to find Herbie set, screensaving whilst attached to my bubbler, 3/4 finished bowl sitting there idling.

And thats not to say I'm there idling. Herbalized Lamb's Bread, will not allow.

No.

I am up.

I want a better brush. I don't know why, the one that comes with it works perfectly fine and has not broken. I just don't like it. Now it's out there, my biggest complaint about the The Herbalizer. You listening team Herbie!?! :argh:

I tried your direct draw style @Vitolo, I was using a Q bowl and elbow. I wasn't very successful due to the 90° angle on the Q elbow. I couldn't get at it right. I ordered a 45° elbow and will try again when it arrives.

2 days in. Or is it 3? I like the unit but am not as ecstatic as the rest seem to be. With the better extraction I thought I would go though less weed but I am getting fewer tokes than da Buddah. (42 visible vapor hits one bowl){DB} vs 8 {H} Duff is nice golden color. Whip seems to flop over and block plus it gets very hot. If I turn fan on I get 2-3 hits at that level and then it is over. Due to the expense of unit I have no one to compare with to see if I got defective or if this is the way. I haven't tried balloons yet. I don't want to rain on anyones parade but I had hoped for perfection and am finding work in progress.

The problem is probably us instead of the unit. I am wondering about this as well because I just got my EVO and the first thing I noticed was it took more hits to finish the bowl. I'm not sure yet what to make of this, but I think the first thing to do is use the same size load in both units and see if the effect is similar. This would need to be done on high temp settings to compare like effects. It would take a long time to determine where 390F is on either the DBV or EVO. I try to remember that every vape brings its own perspective to the weed that needs to be understood before judgement. Due to its high tech nature, Herbie has been the most paradigm shifting vape for me and paradigms are still shifting!

I've always wondered, does less hits mean better extraction or worse..............
I would think less hits means better but I don't really know.
