Hey Underdogs, been a while since I posted.. it's been a whirlwind of work and spring cleaning around the shop and office so we haven't had much time to check in. Figured as long as we kept shipping out orders in a day or two like usual that everyone would forgive us for not posting..

Anyways, a quick update:

Our busiest time of year (for whatever reason) is usually summer-fall so we're trying to get a head start this year and get things dialed in better and earlier. I think it'll make for smoother operations but is cutting into our social (here and elsewhere) time, sorry for that but it'll be worth it I swear.

In addition to the above optimization efforts we're also putting the finishing touches on a new stem offering or two which should be ready and on the site in the next 3-4 weeks. Maybe sooner but probably not later. We've also got a few other new accessories, etc that we'll be finishing up and adding to the site but those aren't quite ready for announcement yet. Soon though.
Patience grasshoppers. :peace:

@ paytonpenn - yes the silicone stems (and any other stems which fit to the outside of the core-tube are compatible with all UDs. The only stems not compatible with earlier Dogs are the Nylon Stems which fit on the inside of the core-tube.

@ SirElton - Doh! Sorry to hear about your GonG Stem breakage.. I suggest not dropping them.

@ KidFated. - Nice stem you've got there dude, looks like Ed's work (beautiful as always). Nice Pup too of course.

@ BirdFLU - welcome (soon) to the dog pack, which piece are you adopting? If you need help tracking down accessories post here and I bet your fellow UDs will have some suggestions. Or you can message us and we'll help out.

@ drewper - thanks for the link drew, looks like as usual ALT has almost anything a person could need

Fersher dude! I've been looking on there and High Priority a lot recently as a very underdogged girl I had over knocked over my B. Wilson bub and it didn't survive. I let my pops use my mini tube because he has a love affair with it and he combusts flower as his mode of employ usually. So for the past few weeks I've been hittin it raw with the glass and silicone stem. I set the screen distance pretty close to the nipple when the silicone bottoms out on the heat source, but my rips are huge when I just barely mate the end of the silicone to the nipple. I was kind of surprised to see this and only push the herbs to where it's right on top of the heat source until I think it's the last hit of the pack. Interesting how that works.

Cheers homies

Thanks! I adopted Buildozer's rather unused extra dog. We were unsure of the type of wood but maybe if I post pictures someone could tell me what kind it is. It would be interesting to know.

I think I may have a problem tho..

I can't seem to stop thinking about all useful and cool stem types I could make lol....I don't even have the dang thing yet!

Me too! I've been using my dog at 14.2v and getting huge clouds out of it. I'm about ready to scrape up all of this delicious vapor goo!

So not long ago I let Underdog know that I picked up a "lost pup" and adopted it from someone here on the forums. We spoke a little about it and he was trying to figure out which pup it was exactly (I still need to send him pics).

AT LEAST 2 months ago I placed an order with underdog for one of the long tube 14mm stems so its been a while since they have used my address or even seen my name. With other companies I would have been "just another customer" and forgotten about 2 days down the road....NOT underdog. I wasent having the best of days yesterday and I go to open my mail box and find a envelope from someone I dont know. So I proceeded to open it and discovered a hand written note with 2 stickers. I dont really use stickers all that much but just the thought that went into this and the way he remembered me was just mind blowing. I love the simple things in life and for some reason this tiny note and stickers just moved me and turned my day into a very positive one. I dont know of ANY other company out there that would do something like that. I just want to say to underdog that it means a lot and I greatly appreciate it! Thanks a bunch and dont ever change!

Super stoked that this bad boy arrived earlier than expected. Shout out to @Alan for making me a sweet stem that would fit my UD, this thing looks great! The two screen design is going to make changing screens a breeze and will prevent any material falling out. Can't wait to try it out!

Edit: ok....this thing is awesome! Love the feel in the hand, its nice and light. The screen set up is brilliant imo. I like the fact I can take the stem off and not worry about losing any goodies. You could probably throw this thing and have nothing come out. I love it!!

Thanks again Alan! Its nice having the separate pieces. I took off the half cork and packed it down which provided for a hotter hit. It finished off the load really nicely, not too hot at all.

Can anyone who's used the "simple glass stems" tell me how they compare to a gong or nylon stem?

Thanks!

They work awesomely. Tiny loads give me two big rips, you can easily control the distance from the load to the heat, tons of flavor, easy to keep clean and swap screens.

I use the 14mm gonna fitting with just about the same results, only difference is there's a lot more play in the fitment. The simple glass stem mates up pretty snugly from the silicone.

I tried to capture a cloud but I think I need a camera person.

I really hate when my screen falls out of every simple glass stem, I prefer my simple glass stems with formed screens they fit perfectly. But I never use simple glass when I have the gong, even for direct draw the all glass gong gets used more often. But I also prefer using Hammer stems on my UD more than the simple glass.

Also my silicone doesn't even stay on my glass anymore. It just ends up sliding off after a couple bowls.

Yabuddy! Hopefuufly I addressed all of your wonders.

I forgot to mention that if you slip another bit of silicone on the other end of the glass stem, you have a solid 14mm fitting if you want to plug it into a water tool. And a drop of water between the glass and silicone will make the two parts slide nicely for maintenance.

Pretty badass unit Dave's come up with!

The silicone hits like a nylon stem with a larger bowl imo. A screen should never fall out of the silicone if it's put in correctly. I use .583 screens and the screening kit from underdog and screens are a tighter fit than the formed screens in the new style gongs/glass stems. The direct draws are cool but I prefer my mini simple glass stems made with ssv mouth pieces on the thick silicone tubing.

That made me think of this thing I gave away because I never used it.

That was before I knew what a log vape was. Shoulda held onto it, would work nicely with silicone.

I was wondering if anyone can say how well the thick silicone tubing mates up with a male 14mm gong fitting, like that of an oil rig. I've lived in unfriendly states and full melt/bho is a mystery in FL if not probably poorly made. I figure it'd be in my best interest to get that style joint next. Or adapt it with a female to female 14mm and use Dave's gong bowl. Glassonglassonglass gee whiz. Love to hear any input.

Happy 420 everybody!

That is the setup I am using right now, thick silicone over a 14mm Male. After I broke my GonG's. For Male joints I carve the inside of one end a little bit, for a female joint I carve the outside.

One sec actually, this is hard to explain, ill take some pictures.

Works good, putting it on and removing it is a tiny bit more difficult than with a female joint. But no real issue for me, I usually just remove my underdog and not the stem to clear. You might be able to carve it more for a easier fit, but I haven't tried i'm happy how it is.

I just ran a knife along the inside. It dosn't look like its on very far, but its far enough to stay put and still be easy to take off and on

Try to disregard my dirty glass and keyboard...

I miss my broken GonG stems at the end of the day though, need to order some new ones.

Thanks for the insight. Sounds like it's Dave's 14mm gong bowl ftw. Female joints somehow stay in existence! All the glass I like is coming with male joints. I guess it's an oil world and we're just vaping in it. These mini sovereignty recyclers look like fun when hooked up to an underdog.

Oil pieces are great for vaping in my experience, a female joint is more preferable for me. But if you like a piece of glass I wouldn't let the stem stop you.

Definitely an oily world at the moment.

Where would I get the required size block of wood to be sent to Underdog? Just amazon or is there a better place?

There are exotic wood dealers online ... Google it and you should get a few options. Dave has a stock of different wood options usually and has ready-made vapes on his website.

Thank you :)
I'm not a fan of the current two that are available and my birthday is coming up so I would love to customize one. Dave and I have exchanged a few messages back and forth already, just still on the fence about wood types.
