CBD and Anxiety Disorders

Davinci,

it would be interesting to try some high CBD strain (which I do not have) with a vaporizer, first at lower T (~160-165°C) to remove the THC from the plant material (I know this can be seen as a crime, sorry) and then set a higher T (180-190°C) and inhale only the remaining CBD.

I posted a thread some time ago with a DIY vapo with configurable T:
http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/diy-general-purpose-temperature-stabilized-vaporizer.7966/

The youtube video is here:

with a vapo of this sort differential-T-vaping could be a way to get what you want.

Too bad you cant get your hands on Harlequin. I'm also sensitive to high THC levels, especially if I'm not in the right state of mind.

I'm in CO and can sometimes get High CDB no / low THC flower and oil and it's been a godsend. My condition and other medication really screw up a nights sleep. Not to mention my Neuropathic pain.
That is until I researched Cannabis. Now I sleep like two decades ago and my feet feel like I'm wearing slippers!!
Let's just say that the Stanley bro's shared a grow with the people I get my high CBD from. You know, the guys who produce Charlotte's Web. I prefer the flower believe it or not as the oil is a smidgen too strong and seems to have a higher amount of THC.
CDB and THC combined can sure produce loads of laughter just like the first time you felt the effects of Cannabis. Remember that?

Do you mind telling me what kind of pain you are treating? I have what the doctors believe is fibromyalgia. Gotta see a specialist ASAP but they are booked for a while. Anyway how much of the 100mg were you using to get pain relief? My pain is far worse than my anxiety lately. I'm really trying to find some form of pain relief that works. I've had mixed results with the 100mg dixie tincture. Somehow it seems to stop pain a bit, but it is VERY short lived like 20 minutes. That can't be right if people are using it 2-3x a day and getting relief.

Please any insights you have would be great. I'm thinking of starting a thread on it now actually.
I had no ideal you had fibro?
My daughter has it. What a journey!
I have ataxia and my daughter fibro?
Double whammy!
I when through life thinking it was so easy?

Was I wrong?
YES!

I went to a HOLISTIC Doctor and a NUTRITIONIST and they both had us eliminate Gluten and Dairy from our diets. We both quit medications as well. It has helped!

She is 17, so when she turns 18 I want her to get a medical marijuana license.

I'm legally growing DUTCH CRUNCH (DUTCH TREAT crossed with JACK HERER) Next I want to grow I high CBD strain. I have to keep telling my self it will all work out somehow?

Great Scott!
I actually don't think I have fibro. I don't fit the symptoms very well, they just don't have a good label for my chronic pain. It is going untreated. At least when they called it fibro they were willing to prescribe pain meds once in a while as a non-daily thing. Now, not so much now that I pointed out it is NOT fibro.

I've been toying with the diets but I don't seem to get the common results most people get by eliminating wheat/gluten.

I am trying to get people to grow high CBD strains for me. With any luck I'll have some soon.

A local collective of mine just started carrying CBD strains and I am finally enjoying Marijuana with no anxiety! I recently received some of their Cannatonic and Harlequin and they are both phenomenal. The Cannatonic is lab tested at 5.6%THC and 15.2%CBD which is a pretty insane CBD/THC ratio. The Harlequin is tested at 3.6%THC and 8%CBD. Ever since getting the High CBD strains, I haven't touched my Dixie Drops or Cannachew gum, they simply do not work as well as High CBD strains do.

The effects for me are a lot less racy than your average High THC strain which is a huge plus for me. It's a very functional high that allows me to work with a much clearer head without anxiety. Cannatonic seems to almost "shut off" my brain for a bit. It's a much welcomed break from my fast paced thought process that usually lead to anxiety.

With the right dose, these strains are a true replacement for benzos. For me even one nice long hit will take the edge off during a stressful situation. It's not enough to feel stoned out of my mind but its certainly enough to bring me down from a 7 on the anxiety scale to a 2-3. Even after vaping the benefits of the CBD seem to last much longer than the Dew Drops or Cannachew gum.

I really hope you guys have luck with your CBD strain grows, I think you will be very impressed with the results.

My god one day please let this medicine be legal world-wide. Benzos are a disgusting way of treating anxiety...they make you dependent therefore addicted which in turn creates another out-of-this world type of anxiety. The shit medical system and the doctors having a free for all in it with patients.

It is so amazing to hear that someone with anxiety problems is having success comparable to Benzos while using high CBD marijuana. I battle this daily and doctors taught me to throw Benzos at it. This hits home so I have kind of a lot of general appreciation for your post. Sorry if was too much.

Benzos make me a dick. Literally I can take .5mg of one and I'll end up fighting with friends etc. Then the next day my anxiety will be tripled. Thats why I only will take those if I'm physically almost seizing from anxiety. I really want to try high CBD.

CBD only products can be found loads of places such as eBay or the Internet itself. I've not tried any of the high CBD hemp products yet, but have some legal Tincture coming in the mail. We'll see how it compares to what I currently have. I have a feeling what I get from the MMJ dispensary is going to be better, but you never know.

Finally getting my hands on some high CBD flower today. I found a place here in San Diego that seems to be associated with Project CBD. I'm getting a strain called Blue Jay Way that is 8% CBD and 8% THC, as well as another one called Suzy Q that is 12% CBD and only 0.5% THC. I plan on using these strains primarily for anxiety issues. I will definitely be experimenting by mixing them with my high THC flower to see if it will help balance out the effects. Will report back!

I'm in San Jose, and we have a few dispensaries with some higher CBD options. I've tried Cannatonic, Sweet and Sour Widow (this is probably some dispensary-specific variety, or name for something else, because I can't find it -anywhere- online save for the dispensary's stickyguide page), and Sour Tsunami. Vaping Cannatonic w/ a little Berry White right now.

Regarding my own clinical anxiety and depression, I took a couple different antidepressants after being diagnosed. I tried Celexa, which helped in the beginning. I tried Wellbutrin and it caused my anxiety to spike, so I weaned myself off of it. I had to switch off of Celexa for heart problem reasons. From there, I used sleep/exercise to regulate my symptoms and changed my environment (I stopped school for a while), but depending on how stressful life is, I still need a little extra help. I've looked into and used Valerian Root and Chamomile to help with symptoms. Valerian root can make me feel like I do now--a little spacey and tired, but anxiety is gone (if you want something non-addictive and legal that you can take in pill form, that you can ALSO get at a Safeway, Target, or any vitamin store, I'd highly recommend Valerian root as something to keep as a back-up or emergency medication when on the go).

I'm enjoying CBD in its different forms. It's quite effective, and unless I want to feel a little extra THC-style drowsy, I don't lose focus or tiredness.

All in all, it's a wonder drug. My family is supportive (we are somewhat resistant to taking pharmaceuticals, and my parents both are very familiar with drug use from their own days). I don't always wake up anxious, which is also amazing.

What I am looking forward to next: using MJ less as a daily medication, and more as an occasional medication.

Hey there, thanks for the info. It's an interesting strain, maybe they grew it in house from seeds.
