Asking for advice on a good desktop vape

HEY, HEY, HEYHEEEY, VAPE WEED EVERY DAY
Hi,

I own a Extreme Q and a Volcano as my desktop units. Since getting the extreme Q the volcano has been pretty much gathering dust as I love the ability to connect my extreme Q to glass.

I am looking for a unit that produces high flavour and taste with little amounts of herb, as I feel the extreme Q uses way too much... Maybe thats my tolerance. I use around 1g a day currently, looking to cut this down.

I recently preordered a vapexhale cloud evo as the fact it uses tiny amounts and produces high flavour was a big plus to me, however as I am international, I have not recieved this and decided to cancel my pre-order.

If the vape comes with glass that would be a plus (like the evo does)

I personally really recommend a Hammer, I find it to definitely hit hard than the EQ and conserve much more herb. Its also very good with matiing with waterpipes, while I use silicone they have glass options that can go to most glass pieces including oil rigs with female joints.

I can ensure you it can produce even milkier hits than what I was pulling,

I vape 17 hours a day, a least once an hour, 5 grams of herb and 1 gram of oil last me a month. When you get a more conservative vape, you may want to focus on moderation.

How is that powered? I would prefer something that you charge or plug in.

Cool scales btw, I have the same ones!

Butane, I understand wanting that charges or plugs in, but I can only find benefits when using butane when compared to the limitations of electricity.

The Hammer will provide you vapor clouds in 20 seconds and finish the bowl in a minute while other vaporizers are still heating up, you can take it ANYWHERE and refilling/recharging is finished under 30 seconds.

Why something you have to charge or plug in?

mostly convenience, I live with room mates and i feel like a butane vape isn't as stealthy as an electronic vape, plus it seems a pain to get refills vs plugging something into a wall

I have the Q and I am wanting the E-Nano really bad. Have you looked at a log vape?
Interestingly I was just looking at the e-nano, is it a good vape? the walnut one looks really nice and stealthy.

I would disagree, but there is a hissing sound so that's understandable. But I find it to be more of a pain to wait for it to heat up and to have to deal with cords. Butane is only in your life for 30 seconds and it doesn't have to be while you're even vaping, its also only 16 dollars a years to maintain.

The E-Nano is a great option, I would have suggested the UD but you're not in America. It too will satisfy your needs based off of what you asked for. There is also the LSV but I find the Nano to be more convenient with its size.

Is the UD only available in american then? I don't mind having to use a power converter as my Q and my volcano both use one anyway. I think the Nano is a lot more ascetically pleasing than the LSV as well. Is the nano conservative? I am going to read the forum thread about it now but it's nearly 200 pages lol

Its as conservative as the Hammer/UD, bowls always under .1g, I would probably average 0.03-0.07g.

Its more of that the UD doesn't get shipped internationally, unless that has changed, but I am going to assume it hasn't.

Logs are amazing, when I had an EQ I was just waiting for the day to get an UD, when my UD came the EQ could not satisfy me, its a fun device and great for gatherings but I don't find the hits to be strong enough even with all the herb consumed.

The LSV is beautiful in real life, I've only seen the purple up close but its a sturdy and great feeling device. But I'm a sucker for dead trees.

My recommendation is the LSV. It's made to work with glass and has a real smoker feel to it for those looking to replace the bong routine. It's durable, time-tested, cheap and inexpensive to fix. Will taste as good or better than your Q...second in taste only to all glass air path vapes for me (Vapolution2 and EVO). I rarely use mine anymore but will never get rid of it because it gives me the best experience outside of my expensive vapes, and I know it will be there ready to work if/when the fancier ones fail. It's a great daily driver and the best backup I could own.

I've looked more into both and it is definitely between the E-nano and the LSV. The black LSV is beautiful and I can get either one for ~£200 which leaves me with ~£150 to either get a pinnacle pro to replace my pax or get some more glass.

Can anyone with both the LSV and the e-nano chime in? Which is more conservative? Which has the better taste? I am very gutted about cancelling my EVO pre-order but i'm sure this purchase will have me forgetting all about it soon enough.

I think the nano has a much smaller bowl than the LSV. I was cross shopping the LSV and nano too, but decided that the LSV is just too huge for me. I think both are similar in the sense that it's heated with a ceramic heater, but the LSV uses a glass airpath whereas the nano is stainless steel. If size isn't an issue for you, you can consider epicvape's ev-2, which is still on sale for $125 or something. It's much closer to the LSV, since it uses a glass airpath and a larger bowl size as well (if I remember correctly).

I don't see how a PnP would be a good replacement for a PAX you already own. I have no means to discredit VaporBlunt, but I feel the device with a 10 year warranty is a product not to be replaced by one that gets new iterations every year or so. I also find the PAX to be of better quality than the PnP, I'm not trying to say the PAX couldn't/shouldn't be replaced by a PnP, I guess I'm just curious as to why you would. Unless you're not getting rid of your PAX then just ignore the paragraph.

Think about how big you want it to be, if you need it to stand on its own and if you will use it without glass. I really don't like it without a bubbler, but that is just me. There are plenty of people who use it with just the glass transfer wand. The nice thing about log vapes is they can stand on their own out in the open and be used without glass. The downsides to the LSV, imo, are setting it down and its size. But the taste, size of hits and feel of a bong more than make up for that.

I've had three different brands of log vapes and prefer the LSV all day long if I am using water.

I they are both very similar the main difference is the bowl size the nano has a very small bowl the lsv has a much bigger bowl you can use less I'm it but who dose not want to fill the bowl and the size of the unit you can leave a nano out and most won't really notice it the lsv on the other hand is big and dose not blend in

For me as well my nano is a beautiful device the wood looks anjd fells so good

I like the looks of the lsv but its just not the same when/if you get a nano you will know what I mean

Do you have any experience with the nano? Would you say that the draw restriction amongst the log vapes is similar? Are you able to comment on the draw restriction differences between log vapes, the LSV, and the Solo?

I've never used a nano, but let's classify it as open like @as suggests. The LSV is wide open and so are probably all of the log vapes available (some UnderDogs are made the old way, I think, and would be more restrictive). The Solo is the most restrictive vape I have outside of the Purple Days.

My UD has free airflow, more open than the Hammer I believe. Its the classic core, not a newer core.

I'll throw in a log vote. Big clouds out of a stupidly small amount.

I used to go through the same amount (7g/wk combusting), since I've had a log, I've cut it in half (3.5g/wk) without even trying.

If you are a 1-2 times a day person, try the LSV. If you like to get to a comfortable point, and use as needed to maintain throughout the day, try a log.

You can use small amounts in any vaporizer, but some, including the EVO, are not designed for small amounts and you'll feel like you're vaping nothing but air. You'll get the effect, but the vaping process won't be satisfying. Big hitting vapes encourage you to take big hits, and use more. That's just the way it is.

The LSV is also a big hitter, and like all big hitting vapes, will encourage you to take big hits. The e-nano, used with direct draw and the supplied glass stem, can deliver smaller hits that you'll still feel, but it's capable of bigger hits as well, especially if you crank the temp up. Used with the optional gong adapter/bowl and water filtration, it becomes a big(ger) hitter similar to the LSV. If you're going to end up with an EVO, you'll appreciate the e-nano more, as a complementary model used with direct draw. Even with the smaller diameter vapor path of the e-nano though, it's up to you to limit your hit size. Used conservatively, it will allow you time to absorb smaller hits and be satisfied with a smaller amount, as in sipping vs. chugging.

This is definitely me, a large bowl is good for parties and company but I am a solo vaper.

Yeah, all I have to offer is "seconds."

I second either the Nano or the LSV. I've owned a Nano (loved it) and used an LSV (greatly enjoyed it). If conservation truly is important, then I'd go Nano. Simple design and not much that can go wrong with it and very, very efficient - naturally. Always nice to support a one-man business too. :)

+, what @max just said. :ko:

Very helpful thank you. I guess the e-nano it is!
