What do you guys do with the cap to your unit? I feel that I'm gonna lose it one day for good. Every so often I try to put my cap on and end up looking for it for like 10 minutes lol.

Just keep it in the box or your pocket.

@PPN, does the cotton affect taste any?

I just attempted to clean the inside of the heating chamber and nothing budged. The inside is still coated. I tried iso soaked q-tip and I even heated it up and scraping it with some q-tips. Even went to gentle scrape it with a pair of tweezers I had. I'm nervous to apply a lot of pressure, but I won't be able to clean the chamber walls without it I feel. :(

Also cleaned my capsules with an iso bath and also used PBW bath. The result is not impressive :( Scraped at this one for hours with metal and iso. Couldn't get it better than this.

It thought the capsule material would simply change color so I never bothered cleaning anything other than the screen, which is still very clean. It's just this polymide that's so damn dirty and impossible to clean lol.

Capsules should be changed regularly! A capsule should never look like this one.

How would you recommend cleaning the heating chamber? Is there any chemical I can use? PBW? Iso? Maybe I could flip the unit upside down to soak the heating chamber?

I beleive it is better to leave the heating chamber the way it is. A new capsule will give back 95% of the fresh taste

Nice. We will have them at the end of the indiegogo campaign at the latest

I never scraped a capsule...
just shake in Iso (99% is fine, but more expensive, and not any better!)
then rinse and vacuum dry. More dirty condition gets the q-tip wipe.
This capsule lasted me 8 months, as the only capsule used daily:

In the INH004 thread, i posted other images that go along with the above image.

I do encourage fully the use of fresh capsules to enhance pleasure and enjoyment of your herb.
I would add to my comments above that I was testing durability of capsule during that time. I will add that I was duly impressed!
I follow @Inhalater 's advice and use fresh capsule's now that my interest in longevity has been thoroughly answered.

Guess I spoke too soon lol. One of my caps came apart. The poly and plastic part just came off. I'm wondering if there is a way to put them back together because the poly is still wrapped and in good shape as well as the plastic piece I can slide them together but its not tight enough to make a seal. I could have been more careful so it may have been my fault thankfully I still have plenty for now :p

I am assuming the tape that holds the polyimide wrap to the plastic tip is standard Kapton Tape. Kapton Tape is made of Polyimide with a Silicone Adhesive.

The tape Inhalater uses definitely resembles Kapton Tape from its Polyimide color. It also has the necessary heat properties to suggest it is Kapton Tape. My only concern is that silicone adhesive is toxic to Inhale. Although inhalation of the small amount of silicon adhesive on the outside top of the capsule is unlikely, you may want to double check with Greg as to what he uses.

If it is infact Kapton Tape, you can buy it online for cheap.

If I can pick one of these up for 230 shipped brand new should I snag it? Ive honestly never even researched this vape until the new models indiegogo campaign started. I love my solo, pax, and tvape but this thing looks KILLER!

.

I don't like to fill my capsule with cotton soaked in oil, it affect the taste, but a tiny piece of cotton at this place don't affect the taste at all

From the sound of things.....you've got a pretty good seasoning going there on your poor chamber walls.....
When you ask about applying pressure to said walls....yes but keep in mind that chamber itself floats... it fits snugly but only really secured at the base just below the screen....therefore you should only apply enough pressure to crate friction for cleaning.....It will likely take quite sometime of gentle rubbing with dampened Q-tips.....when they stay white after a good time cleaning then you might be caught up......
As for the caps....I'm somewhere middle of the road.... I let them go from the sounds of it longer than most folks...in fact it is the taste that often reminds me its time to switch... so I grab 1 that has been soaking {for days I typically have 2 soaking in a storage tube PlanetVape gave me} dig one out put the dirty one in after reclaiming process has been completed of course.... then I go after it with a Q-tip 91% ISO until.... like I said the Q-tips are white still after vigorous cleaning.... my caps don't look the cleanest {I have scorching 2 rings & the overlap area} however IMO they are clean enough that they taste good again.....
I know the Inhalater is awesome in the "Doesn't require much cleaning" department....but as I'm certain you are finding there is still some cleaning involved..... to it's praise it kept on working..... but to maintain the quality of the taste..... a small cleaning regiment has been good to me....

Have you tried to reclaim your oils along the inside of your tube and or mouthpiece yet ..... then we make what we now started calling "hot pockets".... it will multiply the number of runs you will get and the effect is :whoa:....well you really should check that out.....right after your done catching up on that much overdue cleaning.....remember careful pushing that chamber around down in there......gentle pressure creating friction only....yes it will take much longer......just think about your rematch while doing it.... :peace:

I think Im going to bite the bullet and just pick up this unit for 235 shipped. After reading through the thread this seems like the portable for me! Almost the size of the PNP but with much better materials, construction and heat up time.

Does it reach nearly any temp level within about a one minute?

Not sure if your talking about a INH05 or the XP.... if you can bare to wait.... I'd holdout for the 05....

Yes it reaches internal distillation temperatures very quickly {the light stops flashing} however just so there is a clearer understanding... this design takes advantage of radiant heat to warm the air giving it its convection additive.... therefore even though it does reach temp quickly...for a quick test.....

I just let my beta cool off just after the 1st run so we could get an idea.... set it to #7 as I started on my 1st run with 5.5 and ended on 6..... I've learned to get the slightly richer vapor I will hit it with a higher number to get things warmed up and rolling......anyway it took 31 seconds to stop flashing.....I began a pull that I stretched out slowly to 45 seconds {a 14 sec draw} not much taste yet and no real vapor to speak of....... another technique I've learned to use....I like to just keep the heater flashing almost caught up but not quite just yet.....so I start another draw apply above technique....I am getting some flavor now again but the vapor was still very thin..... let her set a bit {15 - 20sec} apply same technique and you can now begin to feel it on the inhale.....and yes more flavor and vapor....now she was up and running... about 2 - 2.5 minutes total.....

@Old School, I tried applying an iso-soaked q tip to the chamber walls and got no color on the q tip after even applying maximum pressure. Seems like it just won't come off at all. Even at high temps it didn't bother to budge. If there was discoloration I would have stuck to it, but it isn't even transferring from the chamber to the q tip one bit. :(

If the swab is clean and you don't feel a rough surface when keeping a steady pace then I would say it is clean.... My inside chamber doesn't get very dirty.... btw I too have those blackened areas which I feel is just discoloration from direct exposure to the heating element....
Greg stated there was no need to clean or worry about the inside chamber all that much.... many of us like to chase out any extra debris that might be lying about down in there......I wouldn't worry too much unless you do feel in catching and scratching the Q-tip as you clean....then I'd say keep at it several times a week maybe......

I truly think the culprit that contributed most to your diminished taste quality was most likely caused by those caps....now I gotta believe from the pics that they are very scratchy when you are cleaning with a Q-tip and I bet the tip doesn't stay white for very long.....I've had a few that I let go too long as well... we all gotta learn.... back into the soak they go....that's how I started having 2 of them in the soaker....

To prove it to yourself..... grab a new cap and have a go.....you'll see straight away what a difference a nice new or almost new clean cap can do for your taste enjoyment....:peace:

cool thanks m8. I got my new cap ready, and the other two soaking. No time to try it out until tomorrow though!

good to hear that the discoloration isn't causing problems since i cant find any way to get rid of it.

Any updates on the use of Kapton Tape on this capsules?

hiphiphooray,
Shit that new one looks great! The cap idea is great and I like that the light is not blinding anymore.
