Civilized? How is a water pipe more "civilized" than a bong?
And regarding a bong not being nearly as nice as a modern water pipe, I don't understand the difference between the two.
To me, the "modern water pipe" and bong are the same thing with the bubbler being the only one that is really different.

Hi Guys, hope all is well.
I have been looking at upgrading glass collection due to the aqua lab sale on. Anyone had any experience with a good recycler to use with the LSV thats not too small (13-16" pref 18mm female connection)?
I know the Delta 9 ioffer keeps cropping up but looking for something a bit fancier but should this be considered and anyone used with LSV? Vortex a must!
Im looking at the Dirty Rico Recycler, Bates x Worm Diffusion pump, Mobius Stereo Matrix and Dave Goldstein Frit. Literally been back forth, back forth on combos as can just about afford two but dont know which ones would complement eachother especially taking in ind my new recycler obsession!
My current set up is a cheap but efficient frit can and a equally good value triple honeycomb bubbler, all milk perfectly with my LSV but wanting the next step up.

@lwien Sorry I will keep off your tread.
Back in the 70's when BONG's became popular I never learned how to use them.
Stretching your mouth so wide seemed odd to me.
It maybe perfectly fine for some.
I had to pass every time a bong was pulled out.
ZigZags were easier for me.
We are all different it seems.
You consume a gram per month.
I need a minimum of 0.50 grams per day.
I like a smaller mouth piece.
It's not an issue for you.
Maybe my choice of words is not correct?
Well idk about all that. I'm pretty new too vaping. I enjoy my smoking apparatus that filters my vapor/smoke through water. Not sure what the technical classification is but it works for me.
I ordered my lsv in blue. I'm very excited to use it with all of the glassware I have

That's some good taste in glass! I say throw out the delta 9 (not that it's a bad choice), it just sticks out like a sore thumb on that list, IMO. Listen to or search by member @Frederick McGuire (a great member) I'm sure he can tell you a lot more about most of those specific pieces.

Stretching your mouth so wide? You're not supposed to cover the opening of a bong with your mouth and lips. Hell, that would seem odd to me as well.

Thanks man, I worry that on the Dirty Rico there isnt enough room for the LSV to manoeuvre on that design and it looks a bit too close for my liking!

No wonder you hate bongs, you were not using them correctly!
You are supposed to purse your lips and put them INSIDE the opening,
besides being more comfortable this lets you regulate the force of the inhalation (sip).
Using a bong this way also keeps you from looking like a dummy,
and is much more hygienic. Give it another try sometime!

the open bong mouth piece is the best for an extremely fast clear especially with a dragless perc
the small hole mouth piece like bubbler style mouth pieces are excellent for flavor but clear alittle slower
I own many of both types and use them for different purposes its like a tool you wouldn't just have one socket in your toolbox would you?
no you need many sizes for different jobs

Some like a bong and that's cool for them.
I like my LSV with a smaller mouth piece on a water pipe.
Coughing destroys my medication experience.
Some have iron lungs and prefer BONG's.
I respect that.
With my health so F^cked up I have to do what works for me.
I will shut my mouth on this subject.

I prefer mouthpiece if I am forced to use water tools also.
The fact that you got rid of that which you did not enjoy was VERY SMART of you.
I threw away my bongs also.. maybe that makes me "not too smart".
I also get rid of tools in my wrench set that I know I will personally never use.
This is not an attack on any other members or opinions....
It is me agreeing with your point of view, ataxian..
and encouraging you to not "shut your mouth".
When someone disagrees with your well respected opinions, ataxian... please look at how long they have been around before making any changes to the ataxian we all love.

I totally agree with Vito. There is no need for you to shut your mouth on this and you really haven't offended anyone.
I think the point that was trying to be covered was that you were using your bong improperly being that you were encasing the opening of the bong with your lips, and then coming to the conclusion that you didn't like bongs because it was harsh and made you cough, when in fact, you could be experiencing these issues due to improper technique.
But hey, one of the reasons that we are all here is to learn, right? Nothing wrong with that.

My apologies! But if you have a penchant for big hitters and find yourself with unproven or broken technologies, the LSV is a must have. Not only does it hang in there with the big guns, but it gives me peace of mind!
