Hi,
I am unsure where to post RE vaping in Amsterdam. It looks like I'm going there in May and wanted recommendations on coffee shops and which shops provide vaporizers, as some do so.

The international area on this site seemed to be all French.

I'm trying to find the more local, homey type coffeeshops where it's not a hyper touristy atmosphere.
There seem to be the super popular shops like Barneys and GreenHouse etc but I want "off the beaten path" shops.

And which shops have the best quality yet decent prices.
Anyone have experience there and any ideas. Any great strains to try, my favorite is Super Lemon Haze.

I'll be playing in a pickleball tournament help in the Sporthal de Pijp Lizzy Ansinghstraat 88 Amsterdam (indoor).

Other things I'm considering are the Van Gogh museum, the Heineken Museum, the Albert Cuyp Market, a canal boat ride,

Heineken museum is a waste of time imo. CoffeShops can't remember, but always liked the ones in the smaller towns along the coast better.

I always go to Amnesia , it's my favorite Coffeeshop. It's mellow, good music and snacks and the bud tenders are NICE. It's not full of annoying americans / tourists who can't handle weed, except for some of my friends from the UK . They have great bud, fair prices and i know they have a Volcano, it's where i first tired a Vape. The seating is comfortable and relaxing. You can even sit outside and watch the canals boats float by. If they have any isolater-GET IT:tup:

The shops with the best quality / strains / prices IME

Abraxas
Bettyboop
Bluebird
Barney's
Central
Dampkring
Greenhouse
Greyarea
Popeye
Rokerij
Stone's corner
Tweede kamer

With this list most of your money will be gone by the time you could visit them all

Barney's is quite expensive but good stuff and lots of choice, dampkring has same quality at even better prices, two of my fav shops.
Central is a really tiny shop but really good stuff and one of the cheapest around. Greenhouse i just go there for the Superlemonhaze and OG kush.
Greyarea also def one of my fav shops amazing strains, bluebird and bettyboop also check them out amazing menus at good prices.
Popeye is in the same street as barney's and dampkring i remember i smoked pink kush once there one of the best strains i ever had.
Def checkout the rest of the list and stay away from other bad shops like bulldog and such really disgusting weed not properly cured, etc...

I remember going in 2002 and seen a few "The Doors" cafe, instantly attracted us to go in there. That's how I first got introduced to Cali Mist.

The chill thing about the bartenders is that they will roll you Jays. One bar tender thought us americans were nuts for smoking weed pure without tobacco.

One funny thing I remember is taking the train to downtown Amsertdam and the train had some thugs in back, one with a huge EURO dollar sign chain on and 50 cent shirt on, my friends and I were rolling.

Sorry I have no current recommendations for as prices and cool spots. We were unlucky when it came to eating and finding hot spots, we landed at all the tourist traps. I would definitely yelp http://www.yelp.com/amsterdam and plan it out.

Haven't had the opportunity to be over in Amsterdam for a couple of years now. So please take that into consideration. First if something easy and fun to do when ripped. Out of your head is the house of Balls it's a liquor distillery and history tour. But super cool for the senses. Self guide and across the street from the Van Gogh Museum. My best tip for a newbie would be to learn the tram system ASAP and buy little 7 trip pass.

As far as coffee shops vaporizers most high-end shops cherry volcanoes for use. I agree with Vapors Amnesia is chills and cool spot definitely has Volcano. Uptown Barney's for a fact. And Dampkrig last time I checked.

Green house is a great place and IMO shouldn't be missed.
Kandinsky is a cool little spot with a bar across the alley where you can have a beer and partake. It became a hang out for my wife and I. If you out late don't miss the burger bar!!! Very important. It a little shop behind the big strip on the Dam.

I will check my journal tomorrow as I had to write lots down while visiting.

PS the live sex show was absurdly funny and worth the visit. Just sit up stairs o. The balcony trust me.

Thanks. I lucked out on my CO rec bud buy, got Super Lemon Haze and Green Crack. GC an A grade.
SLH I'd give an A+++ I'll have to try that OG Kush too at Greenhouse.
I wanted to check out Greenhouse T-shirts too. With your long list my money will be gone lol

Lots of great ideas, thanks. I'm playing in a tournament and will be staying with a guest host family.
So, not sure yet where/ what area and if my hosts might give me a cannabis tour :)

:D
Had me thinking if there was something new i somehow hadn't heard about for a second.
Think you'll find it's spelled with an O...

(You have to state you're above 18 first/Edit : or not when you use the international link.:ko:)

Green house belongs to someone who calls himself the king of cannabis(roflol)...best ignored IMAO...;)

Ps As to the previous quoting i just copied and pasted the whole quote again and deleted the appropiate text in both.

was there last weekend...best buy must have been the rolex OG from green place (not greenhouse! if you want to get robbed go there lol just my two cents)

Kosher Kush from voyagers was okay, had some seeds in it...

Tweede kamer, or dampkring, mostly have nice selections too.

And if you really want to go a bit more 'of grid' power flower on the rozengracht has some really nice boerenjongens blue cheese.

And then you have boerenjongens and BIJ, both a bit more out of the centre, but they have more reasonable prices and mostly a good selection of strains.

Go to the sex museum and see condoms made of leather and even wood!

There are some great bars away from the tourist trap to the east of dam square.

There was a really corny coffee shop called the mellow yellow. I tended to use the coffee shops that sold alcohol ad well. We'll I was younger.

Both times I went I smoked tobacco so only had hash

Still not completely right i'm afraid...
grammar-police-badge-patch-0.jpg

It's Bols,as in only 1 L!:p :D
It's a family- and brandname that goes back quite a while.

None of those left,no more alcohol allowed at all in the coffeehops since april 2007.
One in a series of restrictive and regressive measures whose end sadly is still nowhere in sight...:\
Hopefully a certain mr. Opstelten will be gone rather sooner than later and we'll start catching up with the rest of the world!

here's a nice site with most if not all the coffee shops in Amsterdam, you can click on the names and see what they have on the menu and how much it is, look at the dates because some of them didn't update in a while.

http://www.coffeeshopmenus.org/CoffeeshopMenus.htm

Plus, try to be smart when using overthere, Amsterdam has crazy traffic, trams that run trough
"no car" shopping Streets, bicycles are everywhere and they rule on the Streets, canals everywhere with no guardrails etc, I was there last week and I literally SAW a man (tourist) getting killed by a
bus. (the sight was horrific but the screams of his girlfriend were ten times worse)
So please watch out while high in Amsterdam and enjoy !

*edit* oops, didn't read everything carefully so this site was already named

Yes the traffic is quite daunting in places the trams and buses and you will get mown down by a cyclist if you walk in the lanes
