I just ordered an ophos last night, due to this thread. Needless to say I'm super stoked. It will be my first vape. I saw after the fact that there are e liquid attachments like the CE4. Is this compatible with the ophos? If so, is it possible to add it to my order @nao12000 ?

Thanks for all the hard work guys. I am definitely getting one, just undecided and can't order one till friday. I do have a couple questions in the mean time.

1. What's the difference between the omnicron v 2 and the 2.5?

2. Definitely getting a kiss cartridge can't tell you how excited I am for that, but still want a regular cartridge for its ability to last a long time without reloading, which for me makes it more portable. I understand the learning curve will take time but I can handle that.

With all that said.... how much is too much product for the kiss? What are the results of overloading? Easy to load? Max life per maximum load amount?

If good life between reloads is possible with the kiss I may not need a regular cartridge.

Thanks again everyone for all the informative posts.

My Hercules is coming today... I was planning to run it with the 510-610 adapter on a mech mod. But after seeing that video, I want an Omicron Lite so SOOO badly!! The D9 website sells only a O-lite package that includes $25 Ti KISS Cart for $65. How do I buy just the O-lite? I also have an Okeanos coming today, so I feel like I'm all set for atomizers: A Herc when I'm out and about, and an Okie for dabbing at home.

Yes, I know that the O-lite+Herc is not stealth at all, but I live in the Bay Area where folk are taking solar hits of bubble at bus-stops. It is perfectly fine for me to walk around carrying a magic wand, but it has to look good not wonky. The pix on the Persei thread look really wonky! I would attract too much attention pulling out a 22mm wide device with a Herc on top, it would look like I was sucking on a giant screwdriver. But the O-lite looks to be just a touch narrower than the Herc, and without needing a 510-601 adaptor it will look slick and flush hooked up. I would feel quite comfortable on the streets of San Francisco hitting what looks like a giant e-cig, but not a giant screwdriver.

Yes, I know that the O-lite has a design ceiling of 1.2ohm atomizers, and that driving a black-rod SR-74 @ 0.8ohm is sheer abuse, such that any warranty would be null and void.

Yes, I know that I could buy a Joyetech Saphire and a 510-610 adapter for less than the $25 out-of-warranty service fee; far less than the $40 that D9 books as cost-of-goods-sold on the O-L, and certainly less than the $65 that D9 wants for a kit that includes stuff I don't need.

But I really want an O-L, because it looks SO good with a Hercules on it! So, where can I buy a O-lite for $40 or less without the accessories I won't use? And finally... is it just me who thinks the Herc+OL looks SO DAMN GOOD together? If you don't think so, please help my wallet by talking me out of this purchase!

Yes yes, I promise I will post videos of me hitting the Herc+OL combo! Edit: Does anyone know what the O-L battery tube is made off, in the "black" version? I would prefer to buy the Stainless Steel O-L and paint it black, rather than get a black-anodized aluminum battery tube.

The herc and omi light don't run well, just was demonstrating that it does make vapor. Time out is 8 seconds. @THC SCIENTIFIC sent me a 2.5 unit to test with the hvd head and a ss kit no cut off limit, and I can use it with my core. Can't wait to try it when I get home from work.

USPS came while I was at Magnolia picking up OGK laced granola. I hunted the sweet young postal carrier down the block with her pink postcard in hand, and she got my package out of the truck. Sweet! D9 sent me the Hercules and the Okeanos in nice UP-motifed cardbord boxes with custom-cutout foam insets. The Hercules case, sadly, didn't have either of the 3.7v or 7.4v boxes checked, and there was no rod pre-installed. Two weeks ago, they had shipped me just the white rod with no description, which I guess might work if I had a Kick on my mod or a 7.4v setup, but I had ordered the 3.7v Hercules to go with my single-cell mods.

I just wanted to say how impressed I am with the:
1) quality of machining, the threads are smooth. someone took the effort to clean them well before shipping it to me.
2) ingenuity of the design. it took me a few minutes (had consumed the granola on an empty stomach) to figure out exactly how the Okeanos bubbler worked, and I am impressed. wicked! I wish the water chamber was taller to accommodate more water and more aggressive inhalation, but that's after one killer hit. I should use it more before passing judgement, really.
3) fabulous packaging. any dispensary should be proud to have these boxes in their front case.

So far, I have detached the water tool from the atomizer+skirt portion. I used the water tool in conjunction with my MFLB to heat Cindy'99 bubble, I needed to use both hands. I wanted to use the MFLB because it was "known quantity" to me, after over 6 years of daily use I know how it hits. Man, with the Okie I cranked the PA and ripped a huge thick lungful of vapor! Like, I actually didn't know how thick and rich the vapor was until I exhaled, and was like holy shit look at this room fog up! I used to misjudge my vape richness alot, so now I keep the discipline of slowly finishing a long MFLB lungful without "stopping to check" until the end. So, I thought I was getting some wispy hits, because there is little feedback with the Okie - maybe I should hit it in front of the mirror?

Anyway, I'm going to take another rip of that, before Harborside delivery shows up with my oil.

I believe the black version is a rubberized texture.
The other day, @THC SCIENTIFIC was kind enough to send me a omicron kit and SS tube with batteries and a kiss cart. What a guy, amazing. I promised to make some videos of the hercules 3.7 on various devices that run it well.
d7GAnFR.png

from top to bottom:
ego 900mah (don't bother won't run)
omicron lite
omicron passthrough (always running at 4.2v)
omicron long standard tube
omicron short SS tube
the mini omicron tube (won't run)
and the hercules at 3.7 of course.
Ae65b5k.png

to me the herc looks best on the omicron lite and SS tube. Don't bother running a herc on the mini omicron tube, or the ego. They just don't make ANY vapor. However switch the hercules on the omicron lite or the omicron (either battery tube) and you are in business..
and here it is with the omicron with fresh 14500 imr batteries

you can always get a little crazy and run this strange looking contraption, I have no idea how this thing makes the hercules go.

@kushcabbage - So are you saying that one should NOT run the SR-74 @3.7v with the Omicron Light? Your video makes it look like the two work very well together.
Both work well. The only thing is the button timeout makes things annoying. On the omicron you can hold button down as long as you like. Either go between recharging batteries and carrying around extra with the 2.5 or a USB cable on the omicron lite

Thanks! Appreciate you being the guinea pig with all of this. Besides having to potentially carry a USB cable, any other downsides to the pairing of the Herc with the Omicron Lite? It just looks so great and I'm horrible with maintaining batteries.

im at a loss we cant duplicate this at all. im guessing something to do with the rod and oil in combination. @kushcabbage what type of oil are you using and can you show us a pic?

It is top shelf wax, and have been using shatter amber glass in the 3.7 herc. My rod is the black rod I think, it is black between the two contact posts. What do the different colors mean? heres a video of the wax I was using in the video of the sr-74 with the omicron.

I know I've only had this thing for a little over a day, but been using it since I got it. Getting hours of vaping sessions and have maybe gone through .5g, keep getting solid vapor and it's consistent. Glad I listened to people here and upgraded to this piece.

Got a little too baked and while trying to get reclaim thought the toothpick would be soft enough lol. At least the carts are so cheap. Aside from my dumb mistake there's literally nothing bad I can tell about this product. I know I can't compare desktop herb vapes to portable wax pens, but I like the taste better than other devices and other portables.

Wow!!! That omicron and Hercules are so big!! The pictures of that make it look like the size of a ruler. Can you even get that in your pocket. Going to have to hold off on the Herc until size is a Lil more manageable

A K.I.S.S. cart is what you want for a substitute DABBER! (very portable)

I use my HERCULES at home.
Very powerful and 7.4 volts on a PERSEI is amazing!

This is what happened to mine after just 5 days. I think it burned through though. The coils were heavily threaded on one side. It still works, but just barely. I have to move the coil around until it fires up. Do they sell the rebuild kits yet @THC SCIENTIFIC ? These things are too pricey to burn out so quick.

Really? ceramic wick burned through?

I'll admit to over-heating mine a couple of times, and poking about with a stick, but all mine are still working like champs. Can't imagine anything other than klutz breaking this.

Hi guys I'm going to lay off my fantasies of walking down the street with a OmiLite+SR-74. I have been reading up more on Ego batteries, at it seems that the weak link on those devices is the circuitry, and driving low-resistance loads substantially shortens its lifespan. The 3.7V rod was listed [on page 600 of the Persei thread] as 0.8ohms, which pushes the PWM circuitry twice as hard as it is designed to do. Great for the occasional party trick (and video) but not good for staying medicated all day every day. It is possible that the OmiLite I buy won't even support that load, like THC's. kushcabbage may have happened to win the "manufacturing variability" lottery, and got lucky to have OL that can go so low.

I don't really know if it is 0.8ohms, as my black rod isn't here yet. But if it is, then the smallest battery that can safely drive that load continuously is 18350 (AW IMR @ 6.8A continuous 12A burst).

Even a single 14500 battery will be damaged from frequent use at that resistance. I think the Herc is going to need a shorty Persei, even if that doesn't look as good. I'd get an Omicron (not Lite) if the warranty would apply to use with a Hercules 3.7V, because I figure I'll be burning heads up every few months.

I think the consensus is that the Omicron 2.5 w/ HVD top is kosher to run the 3.7v Hercules. Did I read this incorrectly?
