Hi any experienced users with the bag here? I wanted to know whats your preffered way to vape with the bags

For bag's i grind my flowers really fine , not dust but almost as small as coffee grinds and than i preheat all my glass for about 5 minutes , i than insert my flowers into my ddave adapter or cyclone and preheat for about 1 minute and than i start filling my bag with fan speed 1 wich gives me a pretty cloudy bag , sometimes towards the end of my bag fill up i will use fan speed 2 and i mostly do this at higher temp of about 220-230 .

Hi again,
after a month with the Extreme Q I finally bought a glass Bong and it's amazing :)
I would like to share with you, I have learned and I'm learning so much from this forum.
The bong is a 25cm height Narcotic with a joint of 29 the bong and 14,5 the diffuser, I'm using a 14-18 male to male adapter.

And a little video with the Bong and the Extreme Q working together.

Many thanks to all of you!

So I got lucky with this piece:

but got taxed with a few pounds for importing...

Fits perfectly... it was easy to fit a screen in the groove in the middle ...

The Arizer looks so much better with it! I like the lower profile, less fragile glass sticking out. I'm still not sure if it gives a better vape but it's quicker to get a hit as it's closer to the heater. Also, one end of this adapter fits better than either of my stock cyclone bowls, both of which had a small amount of play no matter what I did.

I'm still using the all-glass direct pathway with the angled male-male 19mm adapter & downstem, like in the photo I posted earlier. Much easier to clean and so efficient and tasty... this is definitely the delivery method of choice for me. It seems I was losing too much by using water filtration and those crappy elbow adapters.

This is my first post here I think..I got an Extreme Q recently, and it's a nice piece of equipment, but I too notice that the effects give me some irritability compared to smoking. Major bummer.

I don't blame the device at all and I think most people wouldn't have this problem but I think I can totally relate to Newcastle here. I wonder what the cause is--maybe the cannabinoid profiles that get released with a vape are really different to smoking? My only other vape experience was with a VaporGenie.

If you used to smoke with tobacco, I think the tobacco smoke somehow reduces or eliminates the coughing, maybe because it constricts the lung pores...
Also the cannabis vapours released by burning the herb are much finer, closer to a gas than a steam, perhaps.

You will cough a lot when switching but clean out your lungs and you'll get used to it. Get some expectorant herbal tincture for doing that. Vape a little thyme and eucalyptus herb or a drop of the essential oil.

As you get used to it you will still cough a little but it won't hurt. I stick to 200 degrees C on the Arizer if I want to avoid coughing. Using a bong with hot water attached to the end of the whip definitely helps but you will lose some amount of vapor as condensate that will get stuck to the insides of the bong.

I picked up a new piece of glass to use with my EQ:

}

It has a male 18mm joint on the end. I just put an EQ elbow screen in there, packed it, and enjoyed the most flavorful vapor ever.

Got the idea from the great users here, almost bought a one intended for the Cloud (I think) but it had a female joint and then I'd have to use a male/male adapter in the EQ.

I got it off Amazon, found it while searching for a J hook, but it's not available any more.

I WANT ONE!

Sorry I was away last night but wanted to reply to Vaporist concerns. As far as my irritability I think that was just the wand scrapings that did that to me. I love the Q.....The other thing....Taste something burnt tasting. You mentioned that you took it up to 500 and almost combusted. Did you replace the hose and clean everything up? If you combusted the hose will smell like smoke.....I made the mistake of putting a roach in my Q...:puke:

Yea I really think that's what happened to Vaporist. New stuff to put in the Q this week makes me happy. Dirtweed in a Q equals :bang:.

Read most of this thread up to last year. Have had the Q for a month now and it's different than the cheap $30 eBay vape I originally bought. I've ordered a F/F adapter and have some of the larger screens from it to use on the adapter. I hope it proves to work a bit better than stock. I've tried bags via the Cyclone, elbow packs with and without the second elbow screen. Even an elbow screen biscuit that sits on top of the screen of the Cyclone, but not as vapor - full as the cheap one yet even on 420F. 468 and higher for that matter. The heater seems to not get as hot as my cheap one. I would combust at 350F on it if not careful.

How long are you letting your EQ heat up for? Also, have you tried different draw speeds? I've found a hard draw work best for me with the EQ. As well, are you plugging it directly into an electrical outlet (not through extension cord, power bar, etc.)?

I run my Q on an extension cord. I don't think that will be a problem unless it is a long thin cord. I am using a 25'? heavy cord with no problems. I think heat up time is probably the hardest thing for someone that use to combust to do. I feel like if it is over the heat, it is burning up. That is not the same with the Q. If I run three loads through my Q the last one always puts out more vapor. I believe it is due to everything being warmed up properly. So that brings us back to the question......What temp do you leave your Q on when your done? I put it on 100*C and turn it back up when I am ready. I don't think this is helping the warm up very much. So would it be alright to just leave it on like 200*C? I know this has been discussed but I don't know if we really came to a conclusion. :worms:

I usually keep mine on 8-12 hours a day set to between 175C and 210C for the past 8 months and have had no issues.

Thanks, I have to admit that at times, I wasn't as patient to let the mass of glass heat up. I've started given more time, but the $30 bucker was so fast. I find a light puffer to be the best until the end and then I sometimes try to suck the Q's guts out. No, no extension cord or anything. Same place I used the el-cheap-o. I'm anxious to see if the piece DDave first tried makes any difference. It should be here soon.
I bought the Q over Da Buddha because of retail price and 7th floor not honoring the warranty if bought through an eBay seller at a decent price.

New here, wanted to say thanks for this thread. It helped me decide to buy the EQ and i have been loving it now for months.

So thanks fellas for all the great info here!!

Not that this is needed but its kind of cool so ill share it. I use the glass stirrer A LOT, and in the last 3-4 months i have already broke 2 because i set them down and they roll off the table and break.

Well i like beads, and I have a guy that makes me custom beads, so i sent him one of the stirrers and had him make me this, now i set it in there and it doesnt roll off the table. Like i said its not needed but looks cool so i figured id share.

Are there rules against saying where we got stuff? I know some forums dont let you mention other places and id hate my 2nd post to get me in trouble LMAO but if you google "wabi sabi villain beads" you should be able to find his facebook page. Tell him Woody sent you.

The guy that made it doesnt vape, or smoke bud, and this was the first one of these he made, but he could for sure make more. He has some major skills. i also had him make me a green pot leaf bead as well that i have on the EQ.

He carves them all by hand, so they are not cheap. he can do acrylic, metals, and woods. That holder cost me 60 bucks, i guess you could get quite a few glass stirrers for that LMAO So like i said its not needed at all, and kind of pricey, but badass anyways LOL

Do you know of any attachment or mod to keep the bag straight up?

Well WoodVillain I like your holder but I think for 60 bucks I could fine a lot of things to stick one into....lol The only odd attachment I use is a paperclip...lol No one has commented on this mod I mentioned now 3 times. I put a paper clip bent as a hook to hold my whip hose. Kind of a third hand. I can one hand the whip without it flopping over and kinking. If you can put a hook on wall behind the Q and maybe clip it to it? I am sure that you can figure something out.

I agree its pricey LOL, At first i just used a block of wood, and drilled a hole in it... it worked fine. Didnt look as cool but still worked jut as good.

Im on my 4th bag this morning, but i dont think i understand your paperclip mod... What do you attach the paperclip itself to? if one end holds the whip, what supports it?

Sorry if im just not thinking it out right LOL

I wish I could post pics but not my thing. It will vary with your setup. My Q is on a dresser in my closet which sits in front of an organizer hanging in my closet. So basically I have a nylon bag hanging behind my Q. I hook the S shaped hook into the hanging clothes organizer and the hose in the bottom of the S shaped hook. I am sure no one has the same set up as I do in my closet. So I would hang any hook that would hold the whip. Either stick into dry wall? or what ever you can do to hang a hook. If you get a hook up you can use a clip of some kind like maybe those heavy metal paper clips or a clothes pin type thing to hang the back corner of the bag. I don't use bags but if you can find a way to hang the back corner it should do what you are wanting. This sounds like a real corny thing I have done but I tell you it is the most convenient mod I have on my Q. Not the best mod but the most convenient for sure.

Ok now i understand what your saying!! Thanks man for explaining it. sounds like a good mod to me.

I dont use the whip much, but i did use a camelbak bite valve on the end of the whip, tried it on the bags too... I didnt care for that... the vapor doesnt come out fast enough for me then LOL

At what temperature Herbal Ant?
I usually keep it around 190-200 then up to 220 at night.

Hmm, I was thinking about grabbing one of those bite valves, already tried the ones you turn open and closed. It was alright until it got completely stuck and ripped the plastic when I tried to open it. :brow:
You can really notice how restricted the air flow is in the bite ones?
