Okay so as for a video, vitolo has one showing good results with the herc and herbs. Although his is with the blue rod (not availAble anymore) i tried the blue rod, never got the same results. I tried the 3.7v black rod for oils, with just herbs and no coil a few times. Got okay results but vapor was whispy. Herbs and the herc is more of an afterthought. It wasnt designed for it so if your planning on using it every day with herbs you may be dissapointed (the iris might change this, should have had @Sleepin in CA test that out...)

Ive tried a screen above the rod (with a coil and oil) and herbs on top. The fractional vape thing. Worked really well, but gets quite messy and reloading is a pain. A herb capsule type thing to throw in there above the coil would be a good addition to the herc (wink wink @THC SCIENTIFIC)

Anyway, i saw your plan of getting 5 kiss carts to carry around. Seems like quite a hassle, the kiss carts are great but they can break pretty easily. Might be annoying if you go to take a hit and have to keep switching to find a kiss cart that works.

The herc will hold enough oil to get you through the day. I love the 3.7V rod but would not recommend it for a beginner. The 7.4V herc as a bit of a learning curve. The 3.7V black rod has even more of a learning curve and requires a bit more technique. Although it is great carrying it around with the SS tube.

Hope that helps
Where is this video of @Vitolo? I searched his entire youtube channel?

This is very helpful, and I don't mind a learning curve, I have worked as a technician/engineer in the past, I now work as a scientist. Tweaking is my middle name, and I don't mean amphetamines (anymore)!

THE KISS FREAK

Rock & Roll All Night & Party Every Day!
Ricardooy, use 3.7 volts, hold button for 5-7 seconds, let go, blow across top of cart to help cool down for 10 seconds, repeat process 5-6 times & your good to go. Switch back to 7.4 volts, Load like normal , Vape away. Hope that helps u.

I remember seeing it somewhere in this thread. Good luck finding it lol. It was posted right after i tried using the blue rod and couldnt get anything out of it.

Doesnt matter anyway cause blue rod is not made anymore. I got whispy hits when i tried the black rod with herbs. Its not the best but it has potential. I have other flower vapes so i never triedit further

Sorry i couldnt be of more help

How dark do the herbs get after using the Bender? is it dark green, light brown, brown or dark brown? I ask this because it is an indicative of the efficiency of the unit. For example, in the Extreme Q, my weed gets really roasted after vaping at max temperature.

Thanks

It really does depend, the bender is an attachment that takes time to learn. ABV varies depending on how long you mash the button. You can and probably will burn the bowl a few times, but when you get it right it's flavor is unbeatable. I used to have the Q but sold it to get a hercules. You can't really compare the two when it comes to the ABV because It's like comparing gas mileage between a manual and an automatic, it all depends on how the user drives it.

Ok thank you, that was I wanted to know :)

I was afraid that it might not heat the weed high enough to get CBD besides THC which I think is done using high temps.

Just realized that my dumbass sent my persei tops in for repair using stamps (takes 7-14 days to arrive at destination) and might not get them back for a couple more weeks and I have a SR-74 on the way.......:cuss: Time to get my hammer top back from my brother and get his ass a cheap e-cig! Anyone having success with the SR-74 and hammer top combo? Don't want to blow a top that I can't get a warranty for.

Hey guys, I know that lubing the o-rings has been mentioned when it comes to ways of stopping your Okeanos from leaking out of the sides. My problem, however, was that it was leaking through the bottom of the center post and into the steel body of the Okeanos. Even with an o-ring, this problem persisted. G recommended that I grease the bottom threads of the post with vaseline (specifically vaseline). Tried it and the problem was instantly fixed. I don't even need the o-ring! Finally, I can enjoy some water cooled LaYG dabs when out and about.

On a sad note, my Persei top bit the dust today. I have already started a ticket on W9 Tech. I was unscrewing the SR ( I thought) and the threaded part of the top itself unscrewed. Before I realized what was happening the thing came out and the wires twisted right off.

Thanks! that is exactly what I want. Question: what is the technique? :p

Bender Findings:
  • Start with loading .3 - mid grind (you can experiment with smaller loads later)
  • HEAT UP: Hold power button for 10 second increments, while drawing very slowly until you see vapor moving up the mouthpiece (you'll have to look down the neck to see this)
  • When you see vapor, let go of the button and stop drawing
  • Wait for say 5 seconds for the temperature to settle then start to draw again
  • Hold power for 5 seconds, release for 5 and repeat this method all while constantly drawing watching the vapor production through the mouthpiece/neck
  • **Take LONG slow inhales**
  • Stir every other hit
  • When BENT, keep drawing until you cant anymore to cool down the device and to save the erb for later if you dont want it to bake (I can get 3 sessions off of .3-.4 with vigorous cool down)
  • Slide the glass Bender device off the Persei, remove the mouthpiece and let it sit to cool as well. You dont want to knock them over attached..

I tried it with my sr71 no problems. Its more sensitive compared to the regular tops so if your moving or have shakey hands it can cut out but ive only had that happen a couple times

@DaNi_DuB I will happily trade you a single top for your hammer top. Purple, silver, or black. Lol.
