Just curious (or ignorant), but is there a direct correlation between the density of vapour produced and quality? i.e. the denser the vapour the better the quality?

I am asking this cause the quality of herb i have access to is really low (full of seeds and twigs). but gives me AMAZING clouds with the solo at level 3 (full cycle 12 mins) and then another full cycle at level 5.

Yes and no. I've had some strains that produce a lot of vapor, I could squeeze a few sessions out of a well-packed stem, and other strains will be easy to cash in about 7 or 8 hits. I've always been one for quality over quantity (especially considering how much you save by vaping) and sometimes the dankest of dank is just a tease in terms of session length (not necessarily effects). I think my record is 3 sessions on one stem, going at 2, then 4, then 7. I've vaped some not-so-great stuff as well and sometimes it gives me a lot of bland, tasteless, vapor.

Hey guys,

So a while back, I had a unit with a defective internal charger, sent it in for replacement. Got an M1B1 as a replacement, and after attempting to use that 8 or 9 times, I realized I was getting no vapor from it/was insanely hard to pull. They agreed to let me send it in. They got it, and said it had an "unrepairable circuit issue" and sent me another new one, this time an M1T0 model.

Every time I draw vapor from this one, the temperature on the solo goes down. Whether I'm vaping at a 4, 5, or 6, the red temperature light will come on and slowly go down to 2. And again, only happens WHILE I'm pulling on the tube.

Is this another defective unit? Or should this be happening? I have an M1A4 as well, and that works perfectly, so luckily, this is just kind of my backup.

What do you guys think? As far as vapor and everything else on the new one, it pulls fine. But it feels a lot easier to draw from than my M1A4, and again, with the temperature going down every time I draw, I don't wanna be wasting vapor.
My recent warranty replacement Solo has the increased airflow and indeed does drop several "light levels" when hitting on it. It rises quickly back to where it was set when I stop drawing.

Anyone have a good source for solo stem screen? Im looking for the pre-shaped ones with a rim, that kind of look like a little cup. I haven't found any one ebay or at dispensaries and online I cant find anywhere that doesn't charge a ton on shipping. They are tiny and light I don't see any reason to pay a ton for an envelope with cardboard

Hi. Registered to ask this question, my solo worked fine for a month (purchased off planetvape), i tried to use it while plugged in (not the first time) but it seems to be broken now. I've got a flashing blue light, if i try to turn it on it shuts off within 10 seconds. Is there anything I can do besides requesting a replacement?

I opened it up and disconnected the battery for a minute, but when I reconnected it I got the flashing blue light immediately.

You should just contact Arizer. I had that issue but mine seemed to have been an issue with the led's as it heats up just fine, just have no blue light at all and led 5 does not work.

How many people use the solo only for direct draw? How many with a water piece or a combination of both?

I've been messing with it using it with a water piece and haven't got that good of vapor production (using the rubber band method wrapped around the stem) Seem to get decent clouds just directly drawing from it.

try packing a little lighter for your water piece and or turning the heat up. for dry i start on 4 or 5 depending on pain. if im using my water tool i throw it all the way up to 7. and BLAST OFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF:razz:

oh ya also really make sure there is a tight seal

Both depending, usually water path of some sort when I'm home, and dry when I'm outside. I get visible clouding in my pieces with my Solo set to 3 attached to glass, but it starts to become more apparent the higher I go. I usually end up going something like a few hits at 3, few hits at 4, few hits at 5, but usually finish on 6 or 7. If you can get decent clouds without water you should be able to get better hits with it, especially since you can see the vapor forming.

In response to the recent discussion of sensor temperature level depression during vapor extraction the LEDs don't show the whole picture (at least on my M1B1, Aug 2014). Arizer appears to have programmed to units to not show the magnitude of the temperature drop during use by not showing decreases in temperature while the heater is on.

If I initiate vapor extraction during the resting state (no blinking red light) the initial temperature drop of one level will be shown and the heater will activate. If I initiate vapor extraction during an ongoing heat cycle (red light blinking) it either will not show any temperature depression at all or sometimes it will drop one level and hold irregardless of how big the draw is.

If I bump it up or down a level at the END of a draw the unit will initiate a new heating cycle after a couple seconds and show the actual temperature level detected by the sensor via the LEDs. Often times the LEDs will show an initial drop down to level 2 or even level 1 and then return to the set temperature level over time. Additional extraction during a rebounding heat cycle will slow or halt the reported rate of the temperature rebound but the unit just will not show a drop in temperature via the LEDs during an active heating cycle no matter how hard or long the draw is.

Do the new units operate the same way?

I use a Pinnacle Water Tool with my gong conversion when I'm sitting on the couch watching TV.
I added an inverted downstem in a brewers' cork. Gives it incredably easy dray and is just the right height for relaxing there on the couch without having to raise the unit, just tip it to my lips and draw.....AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH :

If you sent in just the unit that is probably what you will get back. I didn't have to send it to Arizer, my authorized ebay seller replaced it. That's what they did, no extras.
I'll wait and see if this unit ever fails, then I'll get another new unit with no cracks on the bottom again.

Hello all! My arizer solo just arrived in the mail and I must mention that if you are going to buy one please please PLEASE get it from puff it up! I got an approved price match of 135 which I thought was very reasonable. They even included a free screens and a metal grinder!I get a model M1A4 and it is now charging. What I found strange was when I plugged it in it was already at a 4. Has anyone what had any experience with it coming with a charge? Anyways I look forward to using this little beast!

Totally normal... leaving cells dead for long times really kills them, it's better to give it ~80% charge or so as opposed to not charging it. Charge it up all the way the first time and don't forget you burn-offs at 7!

So would you recommend waiting the full 4 hours? As of now it's at a 7 but the green charging light is still blinking

It shouldn't be 4 hours from when it stops blinking. It's just considered best practice to fully charge batteries before first use to help with longevity. I mean if you really wanna go for it then sure at 7 it's "close enough" and I don't think you'll see a drastic decrease in expected battery life.

That sounds like the Vapir No2 screens. These look like a hat, with a brim.
Thank you I will check those out. Its much easier to search when you have a brand name to go by :)

By direct draw im assuming you mean just through the standard glass? I don't have anything fancy and I do low temps so thus far ive only used the stems it came with. I hope to get a water attachment though :)

Very cool looking! Want to get a water tool attachment but when I checked out the price on that I nearly fainted! Im a novice low tolerance user so I don't plan to pay more for my tool than I did for my entire solo kit lol. Anyone have suggestions for one under $100? It doesn't have to be fancy just something to ease my lungs since even low temp casues some irritation. I am a neat freak though so im aiming for something that doesn't take a lot of time to clean. Any recc's?

Yeah, direct draw means no water, stem and nothing else.

Scope the last 15-20 pages of this thread, cheap glass if you're cool with waiting for (usually) shipping from China.

$29 including shipping

You need a 18mm GonG PHVES
If you get a 14mm GonG PHVES
you will require a 18mm to 14mm reducer bushing.

The stems the SOLO comes with are great as well!

Thanks for the link and the add ons I wil need. Do pretty much all water tools require attachments like that? If so I may get the attachments now and glass when ic an afford it. I still want to get about $100 more in bud, oil, tinc, and edibles this much which is way more than my usual budget but I want to take advantage of the sales
