Recyclers - Discussion and Appreciation

It will function in the recycling aspect... but no vortex.... so it seems to me to be an overly diffused plain-o recycler....

Imo I see two distinct types of recyclers out there. Those that have a vortex and those that simply recycle to allow high water volume with minimal internal space for vapor to collect...

I like it quite a bit, even though it looks like it could be a bit chuggy and definitely won't vortex. It looks like with the female injection they are going for more of a flower bong kind of recycler vibe rather than a delicate dabbing unit. And to me that's a part of the recycling marketplace that's being sorely neglected.
Because it looks like blaze is combining that (huge imo) neglected niche with a low price point, as long as it's not too restrictive I believe they will sell tons of these things.

I agree with the recycling point. It would obviously work. It looks like it would out perform my C2 ratchet recycler no problem... but I feel its going to be on the thin side for a company called thick ass glass... 3mm... lol ive seen thicker

Just had one of those oh fuck, why did you show me that moments!

A buddy of mine and I had a little session at my house and the fucker knows I'm trying to stop my GAS but still whips out a fucking Jedeye Micro! Worse yet - a 100 bucks!

What the fuck was I supposed to do? Thank g-d my wife likes it.

Anyway, Lil sum bitch functions nicely. What's funny is based on the design with the funnels main feed attaching straight on as opposed on an angle I would never thought it work as well as it does. It's all in the conical shape of the funnel part.

Heck, maybe surreal is the next cercie.

Now I know why the fuckers are so hard to find!

Yeah, he's a bit of a cocky bastard.
Heh, last year after my custom with him fell through, I bought one from dabcity. They broke it before it could ship, along with the whole shelf of all the unworked ones they had. They tried to upsell me on a heady one, but they are as ugly as sin to me. I took it as a sign.

No sureal for me.

She's a real smooth hit. The vortex is definitely there but the base of the bulb (funnel part) is so short that it never really get's anywhere. All in all it's a really fun piece and for the price you can't lose, but for me I like my Earl Macro more.

I've dealt with many blowers and on some occasion's they, uh, blow! They usually hold weird hours and are constantly in front of a hot torch. I assume the mix wouldn't make well for the personal skills department.

What really bothers me is when blowers think their shit doesn't stink! I was told once by people at Sheldon Black that they don't deal with the public, only wholesale. Who the fuck do they think is paying the bills? That kinda a shit annoys me, especially when their shits over priced.

Sorry for getting my panties in a bunch - back to recycling fella's!

This reminded me of a Yin Yang:

But it's not exactly a vortex lol

Jedey...good to know :D
I got the same piece (see my sig, the 6 inch recycler) but got it via iOffer and had no clue who made it. Also, I paid 65 bucks for it. ;)
Totaly with you, its an awesome little thing. Very tasty and I love to watch the mini vortex while bubbling.

That's awesome @Herr_Dampf - they're hard to differentiate. The way I knew mine was legit were the welds, and the reinforcement weld on the bulb. That and the fact that it came from a LHS that my buddy manages and he ordered direct from sureal.

Enjoy that piece bro!

Get it. Mine has no weld between the bulb area and the beaker, only the foot reinforcement. Guess that makes mine a fake. Welds look ok to me, that doesn't mean to much though. ;)
Any clue where I could get an original? :brow:

I will and hope you do the same!

That's the thing, finding one is nearly impossible aside from his worked stuff. Any store online that carries them say's not in stock. If I see one around I'll shoot you a PM.

Got my Blaze Inline recycler today.

Build quality is good, welds are clean, no bubbles in the glass that I can see. The worked bits are nice to look at as well :)

However the glass is quite thin, I think it's only 3mm. So I will have to be careful!

It hits really well though, vortex is nice and I like the donut mouthpiece.

I think you will like yours @Herr_Dampf :D

So here's some pics and vid.

Interesting. I've always wanted to see someone do a "waterfall" recycler instead of the ususal whirlpool type, and this is sort of that, though more a a "rainfall" or "sprinkler" recycler, with the inverted inline spayer in the top. This design has a really low recycle rate, though, that fully floods the top chamber in operation instead of using the falling water as part of the perc action. Probably has a lot of drag until that flooding finishes, too, but once it does it basically just transforms into a standard two-stage design in terms of drag and function. May as well not bother with the recycling in that case, as it just adds a heavy initial drag and some visual novelty.

Got mine yesterday. I think I need to play around a bit with water levels but function seems good. The worked areas look pretty nice (got the blue one, looks way better than on the pictures, slightly transparent) but I am not that happy with the overall quality of the piece. I got quite a few air inclusions (mostly tiny bubbles), some scratches (including a big one on the inside of the GonG), the mouthpiece and downstem welds look kinda sketchy and the whole piece feels very thin and fragile. All in all it looks neat, performs adequate but just doesn't feel like 100 (euro)bucks to me (BL list price is 149 euro...way to much imho). While not a total fail-buy, I can't recommend this one.

We're here to fuck shit up.
This fumed piece is by Rick Barry, who goes by @rickbirdbarry on Instagram. It has a Dichro Galaxy marble on the hand ground fumed dome. It functions quite well and forms a nice vortex. Rick's work is extremely affordable and he was a pleasure to deal with while we were discussing my purchase.

Dude those pieces are really neat. I like that slime recycler, lets see if it's still for sale. He wanted 135 bucks for another piece (somebody asked for the price and he posted it on instagram), that is REALLY affordable. Any other contact options beside instagram?

Great shame about that little blue recycler, really like its look!

of topic: Did you received you barril bubbler from BL per chance and are you happy with it???

Well, as I said, it really isn't a total failure. @GSH posted some nice vids, it works quite nice. I adjusted water levels and it also tastes quite good. I get smoother hits than with my 6" but way more taste than the HC Recycler delivers. The biggest issue, functionwise, is the position of the mothpiece. A bit to much water, a bit to much enthusiasm while drawing and you have a straw. I may have overplayed the damage to the piece in my last post as well, sorry for that. It doesn't look like something Kathy Hu would send out but it's not up to what I have seen from Black Leaf so far. I just don't feel I can recommend this one as there are better deals out there (see rickbirdbarry for example...135 dollar).
