That sucks that that happened but honestly buying vapes from unauthorized local head shops usually isn't the best idea. It was also definitely specific to your unit. I used to have an iolite and while it wasn't the heaviest hitter, it did it's job and it did it consistently well.
I think you may have misread my post I had actually purchased the iolite from an Official AUTHORIZED dealer it was my local head shop "home blown glass" in santa cruz Ca

it was a couple years ago I took the loss even when I hear its a good product im left to think its hit and miss but if it works for some that's great im all for people vaaping off whatever suites them that's just my shitty experience and it could have happened to anyone so its not something I would recommend to a friend I will just say

so i cant wait for this LSV it will definitely soothe my bitterness towards the iolite i have not vaped much since then and you don't even know what it took to convince the girlfriend to buy another vape after that ordeal

Resinberg,
How much does the LSV weigh? I've seen some setups where its being supported by a bubbler hands free and was just wondering how prone it would be to tipping.

Just a heads up, it doesn't look like there is
a - a restriction under where you'd put the screen
b - ice pinches to hold the screen

I'm pretty sure as a pert of the WPA design, the restriction is a part of the performance of the piece, and I believe it also holds the screen up.
The ice pinches are there to stop the screen flipping while you're stirring.

Props if you can make it work :), but it's not identical to the stock ones.

exactly correct! altho im highly positive the missing air restriction should work out/anyways (maybe 14mm wpaclone with 18 to 14mm reducer to avoid this)
as for the screen: it should be possible to install one in a similar way it comes within the transfer wand or maybe a domed one.

apart from all that, im looking forward to someone reporting back on these as i wont be ordering any soon. still happy with the stock wpa and im not using it often yet.

edit: just figured there is no sense in installing a screen in a similar way as in the transfer wand :p still early... welp im sure it will work out, volunteers? :)

When I use my transfer wand, I use it mouth side down/LSV upside down, like I was drinking out of a soda bottle so for me, that screen in the wand is mandatory and the reason why I do this is so none of my plant material ever touches the screen inside the heater cover. I've had my LSV for almost two years now and have never had to replace any of the screens. Just an ISO wash once a month.

hi

still browsing aliexpress :)
here we have a cheap vapor tamer:
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/synt...-120mm-O-D-Hose-Connection-8mm/965795228.html

close outlet at the bottom, fillup with glycerin, close top, freeze, enjoy
attention: the bottom glass connection is not flat (eq domed screens most probably wont work)
this hasnt been tested or anything.

question:
whats the advantage when not using a eq domed screen to trap the herb in the mouthpiece? never touching the inside screen seems way easier with the eq screen. additionally taking a hit with the lsv upside downish sounds unchill. have you guys tested the method with the screen?

I've tried this and didn't like it at all. The hit was wayyyyyy to airy. I guess it was because of three things. One, is the bud was further away from the heat source. Two, the added metal soaked up some of the heat, but I think the biggest thing was that that bud had a tendency to fly around inside the bowl when inhaling, causing less of the vaporization process to take place. It may work well on bigger loads, but I use pretty small loads, between .05 to .075g.

Hi Chaps read most of this thread , looking at an LSV , currently have a Solo, is it worth spending the cash on the LSV as my desktop vape, or something else , taste is a major factor and i love the solo glass and the LSV looks like a bigger solo, i know the final decision is mine but very interested in peoples thoughts. Just thought i would add , i am not looking to use it with a bong or any kind of water .

Hey Lefthook, I went from my Solo to the LSV and never looked back. This said I use water tools every time I vape. Are you a stem user with the Solo?

I like to really milk my pieces with the LSV and flavour for the first two hits is very good but personally find it downhill from there, this isn't an issue for me as would rather dense, thick vapour to flavour.

Hope this helps! You should try and get the vapour tamer attachment as well, works like a dream!

after breaking my cloud (and with that my budget) I am thinking this might be the replacement vape I have been looking for.

So here is my question. On the 7thfloor page they have been priced down to 190dollars. Does anybody have an idea if i can find the LSV in Europe for the same price? Would be equal to 140euros...

Only online vape shop that I know of that carries them here in Europe is la central vapeur, but at 240euros (330dollar!) I would feel a bit, well, fucked to pay that kind of money...

Could i try and contact la central vapeur and ask for a pricematch? Could I order directly trough 7thfloor without risking a huge customs bill to come with it?

Pitty the massdrop was for US residents only...

Thanks dude, only use stems for my solo and one turbo is enough to get me happy, was looking for something to knock my ass off like a bong rip when combusting

yo!
i did exactly this. lsv kicks my solos ass!if i can,i always choose it over the solo.that being said the lsv is no portable, still happy to have the solo.i dont use water.
when i got the lsv i was afraid it was too strong for me (in no lightweight at all!) it can/will knock you out!i figured its better suited for with friends, which it def is,but its just too nice of a thing to pass on when solo.so im destroying myself everyday and enjoy the shit out of it!

possible downside:you have too stirr the load, which at first seems bothersome but will develop into kind of a ritual, but sometimes i still wish for it to bake even.

long story short:get this freakin vape already!

I like that having to stir the bowl is the only thing most people (including myself) can think of as a "downside" haha. Really shows how awesome of a vape the LSV is.

Ive ordered my first lsv after much thought. Basically tried vape bonging with the solo and and an 18mm water pipe adapter and was like really like this.

I ordered this direct from there website last night its being shipped to UK.I decided to order the following.....

1.spare heater cover
1.whip kit fatty adapter with sick clip (no idea if I need but clip might be useful)
2x screen packs for wand and heater cover
3WPAs 14mm short, 19mm short and 19mm long

My only concerns are import tax and heater shims. Seen lots of heater shims mentioned.Ive ordered this specifically for vape bonging. Had to buy the whip to give it a whirl not sure if I will like it but will see.

Do you still need to stir if your vaper bonging?

Vape collecting is starting to become an addiction in itself but this is only my 2nd home unit I tell myself. I own vape wise a solo, palm2.0 Puffit X, Plenty and a Vaponic. However I've decided I need an e-nano next and future dream vape is going to be a Sublimator if theres a EU or UK reseller in the future its somewhat expensive then way I see it have all bases covered oh apart from a lotus but that can wait as well.

[QE="lwien, post: 572105, member: 515"]I do.[/QUOTE]

So do you just take a big rip then stir or a couple first then stir?

7th Floor just sent me my tracking number so order processed in 2days as opposed to the 6 they state on the website so hopefully it will arrive as quickly as my o rings from planet Vape.I will share my import tax costs and postage time once I know.

hey i should have picked that up, sorry for the late reply. my package was declared as 109$ value and i paid additional ~35$ import taxes and vast or whatever hocus pocus formula came up with that amount.(centraleurope)

regarding stirring: every hit is best, it works almost as nice (not flavorwise) when stirred only every second hit. with little loads (~0.1g) shaking is enough, considered one has the eq basket installed to prevent the herb from flying out the mouthpiece.

mine arrived today and its been great I love it its better than imagined tomorrow I was going to post some photos and alittle more on it but one thing that has been bothering me and I figured i would ask all of you to see if this is normal

on the website there is currently an "add a custom knob for $10" so I went ahead and selected that option hoping to ADD a glass knob in ADDITION to the regular knob
I would like the original knob because the glass is bulky well I would like both for different occasions but i only received the glass knob is this normal ? if i would have known that i would not have selected that upgrade then just purchased another glass knob on the side should i contact them and see if i can get that or i would even purchase it honestly

When I got my black LSV it only came with the custom glass knob, no stock knob.

I figured it was just an oversight or something, but never got around to trying to get a regular knob.
I just ended up liking the glass knob and sticking with it.

If you really want a regular knob, just contact 7th floor and let them know what happened - I've never had a bad experience with their customer service, so I'm sure they'll work with you to resolve the issue.
