any word on if this battery charger should be lighting up? I think maybe I should order multiple

I remember from a few weeks back that someone had gotten one of the included chargers w/ their Persei that also had problems with the lights working. He'd said that the lights were really finicky and would only occationally light up, but most the time were not lit at all. Honestly, this is because the included chargers are really kinda cheap. You should just get a different aftermarket charger. I know myself and MANY others here use and recommend the nitecore i4 charger. you can buy it on Amazon here for $17: http://www.amazon.com/Nitecore-Inte...F8&qid=1396203266&sr=8-1&keywords=nitecore+i4

@Jman5280

Just get this:

http://www.w9tech.com/omicron-ti-series-essential-oil-vaporizer/

The Omicron is the power unit. Basically a shell that holds the batteries and powers the cartridges. The Omicron looks looks like this:

omicron-vaporizer.jpg

It comes with a KISS cartridge, which is what actually vapes your concentrates. They are replaceable and look like this:

g69w.jpg

The mouthpiece unscrews like this so you can load it:

kiss-cart-black.jpg

To load it, all you do is put a glob of concentrate on the heater coil like this (no fire needed):

Once you load it and put it back together it looks like this:

And it works like this:

I might recommend getting the Persei instead of the omicron simply because you can always expand from there whereas if you buy the omicron and want the hercules to be portable then you need to buy the persei after having previously bought the omicron. Simply put, the persei can do everything the omicron and do and more. It'd only be and extra $60 now instead of if you want to upgrade later having to spend the entire $165 for the persei

The only downside for you to getting the persei is that is comes with the 7.4v version of the KISS which can be easy to burn out, so you might want to get some 3.7v KISS carts and some 18650 batteries in order to run the persei at 3.7v

This is why I do not suggest that the OP get the Persei. The OP is obviously a novice here, and from what he/she basically said, the Hercules cart is more than whats needed in both complexity and output. Furthermore, the 7.4v carts are much easier to burn out. Some members have even toasted them in one night. Once thats gone theres another 25 bucks the OP needs to spend to replace it.

That leaves us with the OP neededing a 3.7v KISS cart. This means it would be $165 for the Persei + $26 for 3.7v cart + $5-10 on new batteries... thats a $200+ investment for someone who only needs a $100 Omicron kit.

The only reason for the OP to get a Persei at this point is if he/she knows they will use a Hercules cart in the future... but given the fact that he/she balked at the steps needed to simply load an old skool Omicron cart, I dont think an SR series cart is a good decision.

Or something like that.

Or something lime that.

This is all very true.. I guess I didn't really think about the additional costs of the batteries or 3.7v KISS. I was more so saying if there was any thinking that he might upgrade later then to just go for the persei now, but if he's not thinking of using the hercules in the future, then go with the omicron

Why not the $65 Omicron lite? I'm trying to decide on a 2nd unit myself.

Middle ground between cost and expandability. With a standard Omicron he can always get an SS kit to make it smaller and at the same time he can get an HVD kit to run at 7.4v. Hell, he can even The Core with an Omicron, unlike the "lite" version.

That being said I dont see an issue having an O-Phos, Omi-Lite or even an Omi Mini as a secondary backup if you already have a Persei or standard Omicron.

Anyone else yearning for more SR-74 milkshot vids?

video of some milkshots, sorry for the crappy clouds I tried repetitively and could not get a nice capture on them, but I assure that they are much larger than you can see in the video, enjoy :ko:

yes, the omni-lite actually comes with a 3.7v TI KISS

:mmmm:....

On average how much concentrate do you use in each session?

depends on how medicated I want to get haha

other than that, I really couldn't tell ya, I usually load for the day. Typically I put about .3g - .4g in per day and vape off that.

the video was just a few random clips of some decent milk clouds I got earlier this morning (afternoon technically I guess?)

edit: it's hard to tell per session because my sessions are usually randomly spaced for random periods of time smoking different amounts every time, in short, what my sessions are vary too much to really be able to give an average of any kind other than a daily average -- I will say that I seem to use more oil out of the Hercules than I would a KISS or a old 5 ohm cart, but that's just because the rips are so much larger and smoother/better tasting off the Hercules especially with water filter

Ok here's one. It is the Persei with ss kit and 2x 18650 and my SR-71 with "74 essentials" AND the top cap that came with my Nibbler xL. This is from COLD to CLOUD . Turned it over and let it rip in my Simba White matrix from massdrop. Note: it does NOT like to be turned over. The oil was all running toward the MP by the end of this hit.
Edit: to add slo mo( was supposed to be slow in the first place

the core is a power pass through system which can run off of an ac outlet or a car's 12v dc outlet to be used with UP tech line vaporizers so that you do need batteries.

the hercules is a user serviceable cartridge that gives monster rips and phenomenal flavor

That's good to hear, I usually go thru about a eighth a week anyways. Can't wait to master the herc so I can get me a nibbler.

Since I just want to load shatter and waxes as I go with the KISS titanium cartridge, would the Persei or Omicron give me any benefits over the Omicron Lite?

Can you use the lite while plugged in?
