This may be a silly question but is the Persei good with hash? And for me hash means either black nepalese or black afghani hash. Depending on quality it can be sticky but can also become quite hard and dry. Would appreciate any advice and thanks in advance. I have read a lot looking for this answer but no luck yet.

I have experience with HASH.
The best setup is a HERCULES with 2x18350'2 AW's (The CORE might be more logical?)
I favor the automation.

7.4Volts I prefer for HASH.
Sometimes 6.0Volts (Depends) (2x123cr 3.0V)
When I'm a bit out of control I mix Hash Oil and HASH together then roll in KIEF!
Really it's not necessary!

If you like "HASH" and sick of all the manual labor to consume it then you need a PERSEI to simplify your life!

There are many devices to do this however I just do what's easiest for me!

Do what works for you!

You can even use a water path!

@Caligula @THC SCIENTIFIC - Sorry, couple more questions if you don't mind answering

1) With my current cart (Mega V2), when loading it some of my concentrate will get stuck on the inside sides of the shell instead of falling right on the coil. I usually just heat the side with a lighter so it slides down. Same deal with the SR74?

2) Whats with all the warnings on the w9 site? Any major safety concerns I should have with this thing or pretty much common sense?

3) Is there still a lifetime guarantee on this product as well? I seen its 1 year for Hercules but what about the Persei?

4) Do I need to sterilize the SR74? Or prime it in anyway?

Lol what a trippy setup. Wouldn't the concentrate just drip down on the mouthpiece when heated upside down like that?

I'm vaping hash with the set up you refer to as trippy!
HASH does not run like wax!
I've done shatter with no problem as well.

CO2 oil I don't do this.

It depends on consistency of your medicine?

Ahh interesting, I wasn't even aware that there was a need to filter vapor through water haha. Does it make it even smoother or?..

@ataxian Thanks so much man. I'm totally new to this form of vaping. You definitely sound like you know your stuff with the Persei!

So it would be a matter of loading the hash and the persei changes it to a soft liquidish kind of form? I imagine a small amount of hash would provide many hits?

Will the Omicron be simpler to vape shatter out of? I am trying to understand the difference in process of using omicron vs persei. I can afford both and want to buy the best thing for my situation. My ultimate goal is to be able to vape wax and shatter without extra hassel. I would prefer to not have to use a blow torch or flame. I like the idea of just putting a little but of concentrate on the pen and being able to vape it. I don't like the idea of needing to whip out a blow torch and lighter just to get my cartridge full...does the omicron use cartridges?

also. just got a new battery charger and it doesn't have any LED light up red when i plug it in. is it broken or do some just only light up when charged

The process for the Omicron and Persei are the same if you are using KiSS carts. The Persei is capable of being portable with 3.7v or 7.4v depending on batteries and tube options.(you can get more battery capacity with SS kit and 2 large batteries). Or you can be smaller and stealthier with smaller batteries. The omicron v2.5 can be used with 7.4 v but only on the Core. There is no battery/tube option for 7.4v.
The SR-74 will only be portable with the Persei. It will work with the Omicron V2.5 but only on the Core(AC power adaptor)

i really wish there was a basic diagram showing the persei and omicron...sort of like a flow chart. I am confused on what works with what and what is needed to make something work.

or

just a simple video of someone loading some shatter onto a KISS cart and vaping it through either omicron or persei. I just want to see how/how not time consuming it is to load a hit and hit it.

They both use either kiss carts or extract carts .it sounds like you don't want to use extract carts due to the way need to be filled. The Hercules needs 7.4v of energy which only the persei can do and be portable . You can use the core as a plug in model with the omicron hvd head to get the 7.4v you would need to run the hercules.
I recommend the persei with Hercules sr74. Or an omicron with kiss cart for your needs .

If you want an awesome setup for vaping wax/oil, get a Persei, a Herc, isopropyl, an upgraded battery charger, some 18350 AW IMR's and a multimeter. If you have some patience and don't mind using a multimeter you can have some real good success with this setup.
I would recommend reading this whole thread and to keep up on new posts.
Kiss carts are ok but Herc is king!

Sorry to add to the confusion. I don't have a video handy but loading a KISS cart on either Omicron or Persei is the same. Unscrew top of KISS( very quick and easy), load BB sized ball +/- depending on preference. Place material directly on coil in picture. Screw on top. Press button. Vape. Repeat:)

I have seen the kiss cart on an omicron lite go through hash like it was wax I was impressed. I said don't use it in the kiss cart but it worked and cleaned up back to white wic!

The core is an A/ C power adaptor. It eliminates the need for batteries. Great for home use. Even has a car adaptor. The Herc is an advanced, user serviceable cart that holds more concentrate. It is made to last! There is a learning curve however. There are many small parts involved but there is plenty of support here and from the manufacturer. Their presence here is @THC SCIENTIFIC and @nao12000. Both very helpful!:nod: I think there are some videos here on the Herc.. Definitely on YouTube.

i really want to understand the persei but the more I learn the more confusing it gets. And there are is a lack of instructions out there that actually show how to use this thing.

Should I be looking at something more simple like a Vaporbrothers Dabbler?

I just want to load wax and shatter as I go. Maybe in the future start messing with actual cartridges...

considering i am the closest thing to a newbie...what should I order if I want to start with the Persei?

I want the best and if Persei is the best I want it. I will learn the curve...

What do I need to get started and be vaping shatter and wax? I want to be able to load as a I go and be able to load cartridges.

*IF I understand correctly, cartridges allow you to get more hits with loading as frequent? Whereas a KISS allows you to load as you go?

Are their different types of KISS carts that work better for shatter?

Load As You Go= KISS carts. Now you decide which unit to screw it on to. If you think that you will not need to eventually need the Herc then go with the Omicron. If you want room to grow, go with the Persei. I would start with the 3.7v KISS because they are more forgiving.
Persei order/wish list:
Persei Ti (comes with 7.4c Ti KISS) choose color
2x 18650 (2000 mAh) batteries
SS kit
Hercules SR-74 7.4v (white rod)
3.7V Ti KISS cart
