just got my sr 74 for 3.7v, having trouble getting vapor. the black rod is at the proper place and I'm using healthy 18500 batteries at 1110 mAh, my battery handle is the bolt mod, but i've tried my omicron lite. will I need imr aw batteries to get anywhere at 3.7v?
how many coils are you using and how much material did you load?

I believe you do need imr batteries... Basically, if your using 1 coil, you want about 0.5 g of oil in there. I like to make sure theres a layer of oil ontop of the coil after its all loaded...
Then you want to preheat it for a few seconds and puff on it without inhaling. Once you see vapor while you puff inhale regularly
I'm not sure if any 18500 imr exists and the only batteries we recommend with the Herc is a 19650 aw IMR if you have a protected 18500 and the protection circuit is limited to 3 amps as we have seen some are then this could be the reason as a 3.7v Herc requires 5 amps to start and then drops to 2.4 amps to keep. Going. If not enough current is available to start the Herc then it's no good.

I figured out my problem was I was using two coils, when I should have been using one. I took a mesh coil out and put some more wax in maybe .3 total. tastes so wonderful!! what a nifty cart. THC I'm getting good clouds on 18500, and on my smaller 18350 imr, I am a happy cabbage

efest imr v2 @ 1100. I'll go ahead and post a short impression of this beast! Love the build quality. A little big for my tastes as i'm used to 3.7v kiss carts and short battery mods. Very effective design with the ceramic rod. I still don't understand the different rods, and the blakc and silver ends on the end of my white rod. Ok taste, wow I can taste my concentrate as well if not better than my ti kiss carts, and now I can load so much it seems like! I have another question about the free spinning little ring so only after a couple hours of use, it doesn't spin so freely anymore and it can cover up the air holes. Do I need to keep an eye on things and iso? I don't know which parts I can iso. I know the rod can be torched? boil the coils? I notice the threads get a bit sticky too. Maybe in a future upgrade, the threads be wider for easier cleaning. I was curious why the black tube goes only one way, I almost cross threaded it the first time I didn't realize they were different from the mouthpiece and the base. I'll see how fast this thing eats up my batteries, and it just might make me upgrade to 7.4 but never have used that voltage!

yea I have been reading all day...its a black hole to me. I am struggling to understand what I need to order to smoke shatter and wax...thats what my dispensary sells and I want it.
That is the old cartridges, the Persei comes with a kiss cart and also you can get the Hercules Sr74 if you want a cartridge to last long and go strong always.

The little washer that spins freely inside the Hercules is called the adjustable air flow washer you can close the air ports to increase vapor production if you wish.
Please make sure you cool the Herc down before you set it down by inhaling when the buttons off.
Also if you take a 30 second hit do 15-20 seconds on with the button and 10-15 off the button because the way the Herc is designed is the surface area of the heater projects heat universally through out the oil and retains the heat to allow vaping after the buttons off. This solves the issue of gunk build up caused by wire heaters used in other systems that often fowl up the cart and now needing service or a new one to effecting the taste. The Herc sr74 does not get red hot and does not reach temps to burn compounds in the oil that are not needed which in turn allows the end user to experience full taste from start to finish.
In other words the hercs taste is a lot better because it won't burn or vaporize compounds in imperfect oils. Hope this helps you better understand.
Ps you can recover all your oil in the Herc in case there is an issue.
Got my black SR74 rod in today. Holy. Amazeballs. This is 100% honestly the first time I've ever vaped oil and noticed any sort of enjoyable taste, regardless of if smoking it on a bowl, vaping it, sr71, dabbing, anything. But the flavor I'm getting out of this 3.7v shortstack is blowing my mind.
I want to play with this fractional vaporization thing. What are you guys using as screens? Would another TI coil work? I really rather not get flowers in with my oil if i can avoid it

As the man above said (you know... the owner... as well as the guy in the video you linked lol), thats the old tech. To elaborate the new KISS carts dont require loading like that, just put a dab on the exposed heating element, screw the mouthpiece back on and go to town on your shatter.
It sounds like you need something that is a rip and go style cart with little muss or fuss. I think an Omicron and a Titanium KISS cart are up your alley. @itschad I just took the upper screen out since it clogged all the time and used that between the coil and the herb. Im sure u can also just buy a large screen and cut to fit.

Currently running with an Itaste VV + Gentleman's Mega V2 Oil Cart and a KISS Titanium 3.7v + basic Gpen battery which is doing the job but I want more (greedy I know).
Anyways, I am pretty set on buying the Persei + Hercules SR-74 pretty soon here after doing a bit of research and then I found this thread, I would appreciate if someone could answer a few questions so I don't have to read through 700+ pages haha.
1) I will be using the Hercules SR-74 for mostly budder and shatter, and sometimes honey oil. Is this the right model of the Hercules I should be buying?
2) I searched the net a bit to see if I could find a package deal of the Persei and Hercules together but had no luck, is it possible to package the two units together?
3) Are there any mods that will enhance the performance? New coils? Batteries? etc
4) How much of a difference in clouds/vapor does the Persei + Hercules produce compared to the KISS Ti 3.7v cart?
Any other feedback would be great! Thanks!
