@Darb not when turning on/off, only when the batteries loose contact (short protection). However, even with the batteries screwed up extra high, it was still an issue for me. If you just lock it, and unlock it, it retains voltage setting.

@itschad the NXL is a must have. Its easily laid on its side w/o spilling as long as you keep the tip elevated just a bit. Though really you dont need to as it pops off quite easy. There is almost no drag. If you want a stand, @Tstat could help ya out I have a few from him and they work nicely!

i still don't get the point in wetting it after cleaning. I would use alcohol to get the water off then i let the alcohol dry.
I just dont want any iso left over and dont want to have to worry about burning it off and destroying the cart or decreasing the lifespan in the process. I asked G when i first got it if i should dry burn the alcohol off or just rinse it off and let it air dry and he recommended rinsing and air dry so thats what i did.

By all means just use iso, let it air dry and go, or do a burn off if you want. If just rather be safe then sorry

Does the iris v2 have a one click option like the hammer? If so I could rid of my core and invest in some batteries. I really like having the vv option for my bender I also like being wireless but when I'm at my desk is when the core gets the love.

If by one click you mean click on and click off.....then no.

if you plan on letting it "air dry" then why wet it after it is already covered with a drying agent?

Because i dont want any traces of iso left in there. Thats just me. Im sure im being overcautious but like the saying goes id rather be safe than sorry.

I dont mind running it under water for a second just to be safe and then waking up in the morning to a clean fresh cart.

You're wise man :myday: Every thing I put in alcohol to clean it, every thing I always rinse the alcohol with hot water. If it was pure grain alcohol, there is no problem, but iso is not pure grain !

as much as i would like for the iris to have a click on click off type of button it is not possible because of majority of our customers use cartridges and it will cause a burn out.

I was just thinking about future-proofing. How many issues did the Persei heads have in the past because they werent designed with current carts and accessories in mind?

The Iris is designed to power the herc and cartridges along with the bender, something thats needed to power the hammer itself that puts out full power at all times needs a different top for it.

on Tuesday and Thursday we do repairs !

Awesome, hopefully I can get them back by next week. And just a random thought, but has the Leela been shelved? I was really looking forward to using the hammer for dabs.

Dude you use that thing so damn much, might as well get the Core... and batteries because you also know you will be using it away from an outlet... although the Core also comes with an AC adapter for your CAR or BOAT!
